보좌에 계신 영원하신 왕 (히1:8-9)
서론
제가 어떤 목사님이 메세지하는 것을 보았다. 그 내용을 보니까 지금 또 다른 신천지가 나타나고 있다 하는 내용이었다. 그 대상 인물로 허경영이라는 사람을 이야기를 했다. 이 사람은 제가 전에 들어본 적도 있었다. 이상한 짓을 많이 하는데 대통령 후보에도 출마했던 사람이다. 이번 국회의원 선거에서도 많은 후보를 낸 사람으로 알고있다. 그래서 한국에 있는 정당보다도 더 많은 후보를 냈다고 한다. 놀라운 사실은 그 선거법 상에 여자 후보가 30% 이상이 되면 나라에서부터 돈을 8억 4천만원을 받는다는 정보를 알고 그렇게 후보를 냈다. 그래서 8억이나 되는 돈을 정부로부터 공짜로 받았다고 한다. 이 사람은 세상에 희한한 사람이라고 알려져있다. 텔레비전에 나와서 공중부양을 한다고 하다가 실패도 하고 했다. 가수로 등록해서 노래를 불렀는데 이 사람 유투브 조회수가 백만을 넘었다고 한다. 저번에는 전 박근혜 대통령과 결혼을 했다고 떠들고 다니다가 5년동안 감옥에 들어간 일도 있다. 그런데 이 사람이 지금 또 이상하게 종교적인 색채가 나타나고 있다. 내가 보혜사다, 내가 우주를 향해서 눈을 향하면 우주를 움직이는 힘이 있다, 하늘궁에 살고있다, 자기 눈빛만 보면 암이 치료된다, 자기 이름만 불러도 부르는 사람이 축복을 받는다, 자기는 영원히 죽지 않을 것이다 등 이상한 소리를 많이 하고 다닌다. 이 사람 과거를 조사해보니 이 허경영이라는 사람이 80년대까지 신천지 이만희 밑에서 교회 생활을 했던 것이 나타났다. 그래서 얘기하기를 이 신천지가 쓰는 방법을 똑같이 쓰고있다고 들었다. 말도 안되는 소리를 하는데 이 사람의 이야기를 듣기 위해서 수 많은 기독교인들이 이 사람을 찾아가고 있다. 특별히 권사님들이 많다고 한다. 이번 선거에서 후보냈던 여자 목사님들이 세 명이나 있었는데 이렇게 목사님들이 많이 찾아간다고 한다. 집회를 찾아가서 은혜를 받는다고 한다. 집회 때만 되면 수 많은 사람들이 버스에 가득차 집회를 참여하고 헌금도 한다고 한다. 한 번에 수천만원씩 재물이 들어온다고 한다. 이 사람이 집회하는 장면을 유투브로 확인해봤다. 아주 이상한 소리를 했다. 자기가 보혜산데 내가 성령을 당신들에게 준다고 이야기를 하더라. 내가 축복을 주면 당신들이 다 축복받는다. 우리가 보면 황당한 이야긴데 그 이야기를 할 때 마다 많은 사람들이 박수를 치고 좋아했다. 거의 하나님처럼 모시는 수준이었다. 한 두명 아니라 수 많은 사람들이 몰려서 그것을 따르는 것을 보면 참 이상할 정도이다. 사람들이 그 말 하나 제대로 분별하지 못하는 분별력이 너무나 없구나 하는 것을 볼 수 있다. 분명히 정신병자같은 사람 말을 듣고 많은 사람들이 따라하고 웃고 박수치는 것을 보면 참 이상하다. 그런데 지금 이것이 웃고 간단히 넘길 일인가. 아마 이런 시대가, 이런 상황이 점점 더 심화될 것이라고 생각한다. 우리는 지금 히브리서를 보면서 하나님의 아들에 대해서 집중적으로 보고있다. 이 하나님의 아들에 관해서 가장 잘 설명하고 있는 것이 히브리서인데 이것으로 우리가 예배를 드릴 수 있는 것이 얼마나 감사한지 모르겠다. 오늘 말씀을 통해 다시 한 번 하나님의 아들되신 그리스도를 확실히 붙잡는 귀한 시간 되시기 바란다.
1. 하나님의 아들
1) 주의 보좌
히1:8 아들에 관하여는 하나님이여 주의 보좌는 영영하며 –
이 말씀은 시편 45:6 말씀을 인용한 말씀이다.
시 45:6 하나님이여 주의 보좌는 영원하며 주의 나라의 규는 공평한 규이니이다
여기서 우리가 관심을 가져야할 것은 여기서 하나님이여 할 때 히브리어로 엘로힘이라는 단어를 사용한다. 엘로힘이라는 것은 창조주 하나님, 여호와 하나님을 칭할 때 쓰는 단어이다. 아들에 대해서 이 단어를 쓰고있다는 것은 놀라운 사실이다. 바로 이 말씀은 아들되신 하나님이 창조주 하나님과 동등된 분이시고 그 분이시라는 것을 나타낸다. 주의 보좌는 영영하며라고 했다. 주의 보좌라고 하는 것은 왕의 자리를 나타낸다.
히 1:3 – 높은 곳에 계신 지극히 크신 이의 우편에 앉으셨느니라
보좌라던지 우편에 앉으셨다는 것은 인자되신 인성을 가지신 사람 모양을 가지신 예수님께서 사람 모양을 입고 보좌에 앉으셨다는 것이다. 지금 하나님 보좌 우편에 계씬 분은 이 땅에 계시던 그 모습을 가지신 예수님께서 영광을 받으시고 실질적으로 앉아계신 분이다.
계 1:18 곧 살아 있는 자라 내가 전에 죽었었노라 볼지어다 이제 세세토록 살아 있어 사망과 음부의 열쇠를 가졌노니
지금 보좌우편에 앉으셔서 무슨 일을 하고 계시냐면 그 분은 사망과 음부의 열쇠를 가지시고 사역하고 계시다. 그는 하나님이시기 때문에 인간의 삶과 죽음을 결정하는 생사여탈권을 갖고 계시다. 우리 예수님은 어마어마하신 분이시다. 이것에 비해서 천사라는 것은 아들의 사역자에 지나지 않는다.
2) 하나님의 통치
히 1:8 – 주의 나라의 규는 공평한 규이니이다
이 규라는 것은 옛날 성경에는 홀이라고 나온다. 홀이라는 것은 왕들이 갖고있는 지팡이 비슷한 것을 나타낸다. 그래서 공평한 규를 갖고있다는 것은 통치하시는 분이라는 말이다. 그런데 그 규는 어떤 통치냐하면 공평한 규라고 말씀하고 있다. 하나님 나라에서는 공평한 규를 갖고 통치하고 계시다. 공평한 규가 무슨 의미인가. 하나님 나라의 규, 하나님 나라의 한 가지 기준은 믿음, 믿음의 삶 자체이다.
막 16:16 믿고 세례를 받는 사람은 구원을 얻을 것이요 믿지 않는 사람은 정죄를 받으리라
천국가는 기준은 믿느냐 믿지 않느냐에 달려있다고 말씀하는 것이다. 이 땅에서 어떻게 살았냐가 중요한 것이 아니라 믿느냐 믿지 않느냐가 결정한다. 요 16:9에는 책망하는 기준이 나온다.
요 16:9 죄에 대하여라 함은 저희가 나를 믿지 아니함이요
죄가 무엇인가. 죄라는 것은 예수님을 믿지 아니하는 것이라고 말하고 있다. 죄라는 것이 이 세상에서 얘기하는 윤리, 도덕의 기준이 아니라 예수님을 믿느냐 안믿느냐에 달려있다.
눅 18:8 내가 너희에게 이르노니 속히 그 원한을 풀어 주시리라 그러나 인자가 올 때에 세상에서 믿음을 보겠느냐 하시니라
예수님께서 재림으로 오실 때 그 기준이 믿음을 보신다는 것이다. 이 믿음이라는 것은 나는 믿습니다 하고 생각만 하는 것이 아니다. 믿음의 삶을 사는 것이다. 모든 것의 결정은 예수님께서 하나님의 아들되시고 그리스도 되심을 믿는데서 결정나는 것을 볼 수 있다.
2. 하나님의 기쁨
1) 그리스도의 의
히 1:9 주께서 의를 사랑하시고 불법을 미워하셨으니 –
우리 주님께서는 의를 사랑하시고 불법을 미워하시는 분이다. 이 증거로서 주님께서 십자가에서 못박혀 돌아가셨다. 멸망받을 수 없는 인간들을 사랑하셔서 친히 자신의 몸을 버리심으로 사랑을 증거하셨다.
엡 1:7 우리는 그리스도 안에서 그의 은혜의 풍성함을 따라 그의 피로 말미암아 속량 곧 죄 사함을 받았느니라
영원히 죽어 마땅한 우리를 예수님께서 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가심으로 말미암아 속량, 곧 죄 사람을 받았다고 이야기하고 있다. 이 죽음에 이르는 죄라는 것은 원죄, 자범죄, 조상의 죄가 다 포함되는 죄이다. 그래서 이 모든 죄가 완전히 깨끗하게 해결하셨다.
엡 2:16 또 십자가로 이 둘을 한 몸으로 하나님과 화목하게 하려 하심이라 원수 된 것을 십자가로 소멸하시고
바로 하나님의 아들께서 이 땅에 오셔서 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가심으로서 하나님과 인간간에 원수된 관계를 해결하셨다. 중보자 역할을 하신 분을 통해서 이제는 우리가 하나님의 자녀가 되는 신분과 권세를 받는다. 이 십자가 때문에 하나님을 아버지라고 부를 수 있는 축복된 자리에 들어가게된다.
요일3:8 죄를 짓는 자는 마귀에게 속하나니 마귀는 처음부터 범죄함이라 하나님의 아들이 나타나신 것은 마귀의 일을 멸하려 하심이라
지금도 불법을 행하게 만들고 있는 사단의 권세를 완전히 멸망시켜주신 분이 그리스도이다. 예수께서 그리스도라는 사실을 붙잡는 것이 너무 중요하다. 지금도 사단은 우리를 넘어뜨리기 위해서 수단과 방법을 가리지 않고 우리를 유혹하면서 도전하고 있다. 그럴 때 마다 우리는 예수께서 그리스도되신 사역으로 모든 문제를 해결하셨다는 사실을 붙들고 기도할 때 승리할 수 있다. 하나님의 자녀가 되었기 때문이다.
2) 기름부으심
히 1:9 – 그러므로 하나님 곧 주의 하나님이 즐거움의 기름을 주께 부어 주를 동류들보다 뛰어나게 하셨도다 하였고
기름을 부었다는 것은 왕으로 세우심을 받았다는 것이다. 모든 권세, 아들되신 예수님께 다 드렸다는 것이다. 그런데 여기서 붙잡아야할 것은 주를 동류들보다 뛰어나게 하셨다는 것에서 동류라는 말을 붙잡아야겠다. 여호와 증인들은 이 동류를 천사들이라고 이야기한다. 그렇게 생각하는 사람이 보수쪽에도 있다. 그러나 여호와의 증인들은 그 해석하는 이유가 다르다. 왜냐하면 천사들도 신이라는 의미를 나타내기 위해서 그렇게 이야기한다. 하나님의 아들 신이라고 이야기하니까 천사도 같은 신이라고 말하는 것이다.
시 97:7 – 너희 신들아 여호와께 경배할지어다
여기서 천사를 신이라고 분명히 기록했다. 성경보면 여기만 있는 것이 아니다.
고후 4:4 그 중에 이 세상의 신이 믿지 아니하는 자들의 마음을 혼미하게 하여 그리스도의 영광의 복음의 광채가 비치지 못하게 함이니 그리스도는 하나님의 형상이니라
사단을 보고도 신이라고 기록하고 있다. 원어를 보게되면 여기도 데오스라고 하는 말을 쓰고있다. 뿐만 아니다.
요 10:34-35 – 내가 너희를 신이라 하였노라 하지 아니하였느냐 35 성경은 폐하지 못하나니 하나님의 말씀을 받은 사람들을 신이라 하셨거든
사람도 신이라고 이야기했다. 시 82:6에도 사람을 신이라고 기록하고있다. 예수님께서 이 말씀을 인용하시면서 사람도 신이라고 하신 것이다. 영적인 존재 모두를 성경에서는 신이라고도 표현한 것을 발견할 수 있다. 여호와 증인들은 이것을 이용한다. 그러니까 예수님만 하나님이라고 할 수 없다는 것이다. 우리가 예수님이 하나님이라는 것을 증거할 때 요 1:1을 인용한다.
요 1:1 태초에 말씀이 계시니라 이 말씀이 하나님과 함께 계셨으니 이 말씀은 곧 하나님이시니라
이 사람들은 이것을 이용해서 예수님은 하나님의 아들이라고 기록한 것은 하나님의 말씀을 전달하는 전달자의 역할이라고 한다. 주를 동류들보다 뛰어나게 하셨다는 것은 예수님이 같은 천사인데 동류들보다 뛰어난 천사일 분이라고 이야기한다. 그러니까 성경을 한 번 잘못 해석하게되면 계속 잘못 해석해나간다. 이들의 근본적인 잘못은 하나님의 아들은 하나님이 낳으셨다는 것을 잘못 해석하는데서 시작되었다. 그 사람들은 하나님이 낳으셨다는 것을 피조된 사람이라고 생각하는 것이다. 그러나 오늘 말씀을 보게되면 전혀 그것이 아니다. 동류라는 것은 동참자, 파트너, 친구라는 의미를 갖고있다. 바로 이 모든 영적인 존재들은 아들에게 통치를 받는 존재들이라는 것을 나타낸다. 하나님의 모든 피조물을 다스리는 통치자 되시며 그 분이 보좌 옆에 앉으셨다. 그러므로 우리가 올바른 복음을 갖는 것이 얼마나 중요한지 모른다.
3. 올바른 복음
1) 올바른 언약
올바른 복음 가운데서 가장 중요한 것이 올바른 언약을 잡는 것이다. 올바른 언약 가운데 가장 중요한 언약이 창 3:15이다.
창3:15 내가 너로 여자와 원수가 되게 하고 네 후손도 여자의 후손과 원수가 되게 하리니 여자의 후손은 네 머리를 상하게 할 것이요 너는 그의 발꿈치를 상하게 할 것이니라 하시고
예수님께서 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가시면서 사단의 세력을 박살내시는 내용이 록되어있다. 그래서 창세기 3장 15절에는 바로 예수님께서 세상 왕을 멸하시는 왕적 사역을 이야기하고있다. 여호와증인들은 에수님께서 왕 되시는 것은 아맛겟돈 전쟁이 앞으로 일어나게 될 것인데 그 때 사단을 완전히 꺾으실 때 비로소 천국의 왕이 된다고 이야기하고 있다. 십자가 사건을 전혀 이해하지 못하고 예수께서 그리스도되신 3직을 전혀 이해하지 못하기 때문에 이런 심각한 일이 생긴다.
벧전 3:18 그리스도께서도 단번에 죄를 위하여 죽으사 의인으로서 불의한 자를 대신하셨으니 이는 우리를 하나님 앞으로 인도하려 하심이라 육체로는 죽임을 당하시고 영으로는 살리심을 받으셨으니
영원히 저주 가운데서 멸망받을 수 밖에 없는 인간을 주님께서 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가심으로 완전히 해결하셨다. 육체로는 죽임을 당하시고 영으로는 살리심을 받았다. 육신의 몸은 완전히 죽으시고 영적인 몸으로 부활하신다는 것이다. 여호와증인들은 이것을 또 잘못 해석한다. 육신은 죽어버리고 부활이라는 것은 영으로만 부활했다고 한다. 우리는 영의 몸으로 부활하셨다고 하는데 이들은 영으로만 부활하셨다고 해서 육신 부활을 부정한다. 예수님께서 육신의 부활이 영의 몸으로 부활될 때 -성취되는 역사가 나타난다. 절대 언약을 이들이 잘못 해석하니까 계속적인 문제가 생기게 된다. 중요한 것은 요 21:15 말씀이다.
요 21:15 그들이 조반 먹은 후에 예수께서 시몬 베드로에게 이르시되 요한의 아들 시몬아 네가 이 사람들보다 나를 더 사랑하느냐 하시니 이르되 주님 그러하나이다 내가 주님을 사랑하는 줄 주님께서 아시나이다 이르시되 내 어린 양을 먹이라 하시고
하나님께서 우리에게 절대 사명을 주시는 내용이다. 여기서 중요한 것은 이 사랑이라는 것은 아가페 사랑을 나타낸다. 하나님께서 인간에게 주신 조건없는 사랑이다. 이 아가페 사랑은 하나님밖에 하실 수 없는 사랑이다. 그런데 우리에게 아가페 사랑을 하라고 하신다. 어떻게 하는가. 아들의 영을 받은 우리는 아가페 사랑을 할 수 있다. 세상을 살리는데 이 아가페 사랑을 갖고 나가 생명을 살리라는 말씀이다. 우리가 말씀 붙들고 응답받는 우리가 되야겠다. 말씀은 반드시 성취되기 때문이다. 어떤 일이 생기던지 기도하다 말씀이 붙잡혀지고 생각나게 되면 우리에게는 응답받는 그 순간이다.
2) 언약의 성취
우리는 항상 이야기하기를 성삼위 하나님께서 말씀을 성취하고 계신다고 한다. 하나님께서 지금도 말씀을 성취하고 계시다. 하나님께서는 구약성경을 기록하셨다. 신약성경에서 보게되면
요 8:28 이에 예수께서 이르시되 너희가 인자를 든 후에 내가 그인 줄을 알고 또 내가 스스로 아무 것도 하지 아니하고 오직 아버지께서 가르치신대로 이런 것을 말하는 줄도 알리라
하는 말씀이 나타난다. 이 말씀에서 중요한 것을 잡을 수 있다. 예수님께서 공생애 동안에 말씀하신 모든 말씀은 예수님의 말씀이 아니라 바로 하나님의 말씀 자체였다는 것이다. 예수님께서 행동하신 모든 것도 스스로하신 것이 아니라 하나님께서 하게 하신 것이다. 이 예수님의 모든 말씀을 예수님의 말씀이지만 하나님의 말씀이라는 것이다. 놀라운 말씀이 또 나온다.
요4:26 보혜사 곧 아버지께서 내 이름으로 보내실 성령 그가 너희에게 모든 것을 가르치고 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 것을 생각나게 하리라
이 말씀은 성령께서 하시는 사역에 대해 말씀하고 있다. 모든 것을 너에게 가르치고 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 것을 생각나게 하는 것이다. 성령께서 하시는 사역은 스스로 하시는 것이 아니라 주님께서 이 땅에서 하신 말씀을 생각나게 하신다. 말씀을 성취해나가는 과정에 역사하시는 것이다. 그러니까 주님의 말씀이 무엇인가. 바로 아버지의 말씀이다. 말씀이 이정도 중요하다. 하나님께서 하신 말씀은 절대로 변하지 아니한다. 하나님 말씀은 예수님께서 이 땅에 오셔서 말씀대로 사셨고 말씀을 그대로 또 증거하셨다. 그 말씀에 따라서 성령께서 말씀을 가지고 역사하시는 것을 볼 수 있다. 그러므로 하나님 말씀을 붙잡게되면 반드시 성취된다.
시 103:20 능력이 있어 여호와의 말씀을 행하며 그의 말씀의 소리를 듣는 여호와의 천사들이여 여호와를 송축하라
천사들도 하나님의 말씀대로 행하고 있다. 말씀을 성취해나가고 있다. 하나님 말씀에 따라서 이루어나가시는 것을 볼 수 있다. 말씀을 붙잡기만 하면 반드시 성취되고 하나님의 뜻이 이루어진다. 여러분들이 기도하는 가운데 말씀을 붙잡게되면 반드시 성취되는 역사가 나타날 줄로 믿는다. 하나님의 말씀은 창세 이 후로 바뀐 적이 없다. 반드시 이루어진다.
결론
롬 12:2 너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라
허경영 같은 사람들의 말씀을 드렸습니다만 앞으로는 미혹하는 사람들이 어떻게 미혹할지 모른다. 그 말도 안되는 소리에 많은 목사님들, 중직자들까지 그 말씀이 좋다고 따라다닌다. 왜 그 사람들이 쫓아가는가. 말씀 위주가 아니라 교회를 다니면서도 항상 자신의 목적이 창 3, 6, 11에 있기 때문이다. 모든 사람들이 내가 하나님이 되려고 하고 내 욕심대로 채우려고 하고 내가 성공하려는데 기준을 맞추게 될 때는 그런 사람들의 유혹에 넘어갈 수 밖에 없다. 우리가 항상 이 세대를 본받지 말자는 것이다. 말씀을 통해서 마음을 새롭게 하면서 변화를 받아 하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하며 살아야겠다. 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 사명이 무엇인가. 사도행전 1:8 말씀이다. 우리는 절대제자 30명을 놓고 기도하라고 이번주간에 메세지를 받았다. 저에게 30명의 절대제자를 세울 수 있는 축복을 주옵소서. 주님 만나기 전에 30명의 절대 제자를 세울 수 있는 축복을 받는 여러분 되시기 바란다. 이 말씀 붙들고 기도하게 될 때 반드시 성취되는 역사가 있을 줄로 믿는다.
The Eternal King on the Throne (Hebrews 1:8-9)

“ 8 But to the Son He says: 'Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.' ”
<Introduction>
I watched a video of a pastor giving a message and the content of his message was that there was another shincheonji. The group leader’s name is Heo Kyung-young. When I heard that name, I realized that I heard that name somewhere. He did a lot of strange things. During this presidential election, he brought forth a lot of candidates. He bought more candidates than anyone else. In Korea, if you have 30% of female candidates for presidential elections, then Korea will give you money so that is why he brought forth a lot of female candidates. By bringing in many female candidates, he was able to receive approximately $800,000 and basically received it for free. The world knows him as a very strange person because he comes on TV and states that he could do levitation. He also was a singer and sang a song that had million views on YouTube. He also created rumors that he was married to the former president, Park Eun-hye and because he fabricated that rumor, he was imprisoned. The problem is that he is saying that he is the comforter of this world and has the power to move the world. Also, he is stating that he lives in a heavenly palace and states that if someone just looks at him, they will be cured of cancer and can heal them of any disease. He is also proclaiming that he will never die and is immortal. Something smells funny with this person and when we look at his background, he served under the Korean cult group, Shincheonji. He was using the same methods and ways as Shincheonji. He was saying a lot of nonsense but so many Christians would go to visit him. There were a lot of senior deaconesses who would go to listen to his messages as well as many pastors. Many people are saying that they are receiving a lot of grace when they listen to his messages. Just to listen to his messages, buses that would transport them to his conferences were all packed. And, not only that but he receives so much offering from his conferences. I watched a clip of his conference on YouTube and I realized that he was saying a lot of strange things. He said that he has the power to pour his spirit to them and that since he is blessed, everyone will be blessed because of him. This is all nonsense but everyone is applauding and becoming so elated when they hear his words. He is putting himself in the same status and standing as God. It is not that he has only a few followers but thousands of people are following him, which is really strange. People cannot distinguish between what is correct and incorrect, which is so unfortunate. When I see him, I see that he is mentally sick but so many people applaud his words and are so awed by him. This is not something that we should brush off and think of it lightly but during this age, things like this will appear more and more. The age will get worse and worse. When we looked at the book of Hebrews the last few weeks, it discussed Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Today, we need to look at this more closely. The book that really explains about Jesus Christ is the book of Hebrews and we should be thankful that we are able to study this. From this message, may we hold onto Jesus Christ, the Son of God once more.
1. The Son of God
1) The Lord's Throne
Verse 8 - This message is also written in Psalm 45:6 (“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.”) - We need to focus on this message because it says, “O God” and the Hebrew word for this is “Elohim”. They would refer to the word, “Elohim”, when they would talk about the Creator God. It is more astounding that they were using this word, “Elohim” to describe the Son of God. This is saying that Jesus Christ, the Son of God is the Creator and God, Himself. Verse 8 - “Your Throne, O God,forever forever”, this is referring to the seat of a King.
Hebrews 1:3 (“Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”) - What does this mean? This means that Jesus Christ is sitting at the right hand of God in human flesh. Jesus Christ is sitting at the right hand of God after He was gloried on Earth in human flesh.
Revelation 1:18 (“I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”) - He is sitting at the right hand of God and holds the key of Hades and death. He is the One who determines life and death for mankind as the Son of God, Jesus Christ. He is an amazing God. The angels are the servants of the Son of God. Verse 8 - “A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom” - a scepter is similar to what a king would use. The fact that Jesus has the scepter of righteousness means that He has the power to rule and conquer. What is the standard of that rule? It says that it is a scepter of righteousness. This means that Jesus rules with righteousness and fairness. What does it mean by righteousness and fairness? The standard of God’s kingdom is faith and living a life of faith.
2) God's reign
Mark 16:16 (“He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”) - The only way to go to heaven is to believe. It is determined by this alone. It doesn’t matter how you lived on earth but it is important if you believe or not.
John 16:9 (“About sin, because people do not believe in Me.”) - This is talking about the three standards of reproof by the Holy Spirit. What is sin? Sin is when you don’t believe in Jesus Christ. Sin is not talking about the sin of this world such as stealing, lying, and other crimes. The sin that the Bible is talking about is not believing in Jesus Christ.
Luke 18:8 (“I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”) - When Jesus Christ returns to earth for His second coming, He will judge us to see if we have faith or not. It is not just thinking that you have faith but it is if you are living a life of faith. What determines everything is if you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior.
2. God's Joy
1) Christ's righteousness
Verse 9 - He loves righteousness but hates lawlessness. He died on the cross to show us that He loves righteousness. Mankind who had no choice but to fall into destruction but Jesus Christ sacrificed His body on the cross to show us the extent of His love.
Ephesians 1:7 (“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”) - We who had no choice but to die but Jesus shed His blood on the cross to grant us redemption of our sins. Redemption of our sins is receiving redemption of all of our sins such as original sin, consequential sins, and ancestral sins. Which means that all of our sins have been forgiven through Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:16 (“And that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.”) - He came as the son of God and died on the cross to reconcile mankind who were enemies of God back to God once again. He fulfilled the role as the True Prophet, as the meditator. Through this and His work on the cross, we have received the blessing to call God our Father.
We know this Biblical scripture very well - 1 John 3:8 (“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”) - Even now, Satan is working to destroy mankind and keep us as sinners before God. It is so important for us to realize that Jesus is the Christ in order to become righteous. Satan is always deceiving us so that we will deny that Jesus is the Christ. But when we hold onto Jesus as the Christ and hold onto His work as the Christ, then we will be victorious. This is because we are children of God.
2) Anointment
Verse 9 - The fact that He was anointed, this means that He was anointed to become King. Jesus Christ received everything and all authority from God. We need to hold onto the key word, “companions” from this verse. Jehovah Witnesses interpret companions as angels. There are many other people who are interpreting it as this as well. But there is a reason why Jehovah Witnesses are interpreting it this way. They say that angels are gods. Since the Bible says that Jesus is God, they say that angels are also gods as well.
Psalm 97:7 (“Let all be put to shame who serve carved images, Who boast of idols. Worship Him, all you gods.”) - “All you gods” can be seen as angels being called as gods. Even in 2 Corinthians 4:4 (“Whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.”) - This verse calls Satan as a god as well. When they are utilizing the word, “gods”, they are using the same word, “Theos”. Not only that but in John 10:34-35 (“Jesus answered them, 'Is it not written in your law,' I said, 'You are gods’? 35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken).”) - Humans are also called gods in this Biblical scripture.
Psalms 82:6 (“I said, 'You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.'”) - Also, humans were called “gods” again here. Jesus used this verse to also call humans as gods. This means that all spiritual beings are called gods in the Bible. Jehovah Witnesses misinterpret this. They are saying that it is unfair and not correct to only refer to Jesus as a God.
John 1:1-2 (“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.”) - Christians use this verse to show that Jesus is God. But Jehovah Witnesses misinterpret this verse too and say that Jesus Christ is merely a messenger of God’s Words.
Verse 9 - “More that your companions” - If you misinterpret the Bible then you will keep going into the wrong direction constantly. What is wrong about these misinterpretations is that they don’t believe in Jesus as God the Father. The greatest misinterpretation that Jehovah Witnesses have is that they believe Jesus as one of the “sons” of God and is not God, Himself.
However, Jesus Christ is in control of all things of this world and is the Creator. He is the True King who is the ruler of this world. That is why it is so important for us to hold onto the accurate and correct gospel. The way to hold onto the correct gospel is to hold onto the correct covenant first.
3. The Correct Gospel
1) The correct covenant
The most important covenant is written in Genesis 3:15 (“And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”) - Jesus Christ died on the cross and destroyed the powers of Satan. He fulfilled His role as the True King by doing this. But Jehovah Witnesses interpret this covenant that there will be a war in the future and in that war, Jesus will fight against Satan and regain His kingdom. They are not able to understand the work of the cross and the three offices of Christ.
1 Peter 3:18 (“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.”) - We who were once in eternal destruction, Jesus Christ died on the cross to completely forgive us of our sins. His body died but He resurrected with His Spirit and body. But Jehovah Witnesses interpret this again and say that only Christ’s spirit has resurrected and not his body. They are saying that His resurrection is nonsensical and do not believe in resurrection. When Jesus Christ died and resurrected, He fulfilled the work of the absolute covenant.
John 21:15 (“So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, 'Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?' He said to Him, 'Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.' He said to him, 'Feed My lambs.' ”) - This is our mission. This love is referring to agape love. Agape love is the love that God gave to us, to mankind unconditionally. This agape love is something that only God can do. But God gave us this agape love and told us to have agape love towards others. How can we do this? We who have received the Spirit of Jesus Christ, we can have agape love because Jesus Christ is inside of us. We need to save this world with agape love. We have received the Spirit of His Son, Jesus Christ. May we receive answers through this message. God’s Word will absolutely be fulfilled. Even now God’s Word is being fulfilled.
2)The fulfillment of the covenant
John 8:28 (“Then Jesus said to them, 'When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.' ”) - We need to hold onto something important here. When Jesus Christ came to the world in human flesh, He was speaking of God’s Word. Jesus Christ did not perform miracles and do great works by Himself but God allowed it all to happen. Yes, the words of Jesus were Jesus’ Words but it was also God’s Words.
John 14:26 (“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”) - The work of the Holy Spirit is not separate from God but the Holy Spirit works according to the Word of God, proclaimed by the Son of God. The Holy Spirit is working so that God’s Word will be fulfilled through you. Jesus’ Word is God’s Word. This shows us how important God’s Words are. God’s Word will never change. When Jesus Christ came to this world in human flesh, we saw how Jesus Christ continued to proclaim and preach of God’s Words. He did everything according to God’s Words. The Holy Spirit is working through the Word of God. That is why when we hold onto God’s Word it will absolutely be fulfilled.
Psalm 103:20 (“Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word.”) - The angels are working by the Word of God. When we hold onto God’s Word then it will absolutely be fulfilled and God’s will be revealed. When you hold onto God’s Word then it will absolutely be fulfilled. God’s Word has never changed. It will absolutely be fulfilled.
<Conclusion>
Romans 12:2 (“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”) - I mentioned Heo Kyung-young in the introduction but there will be a lot of people in this world who will try to deceive the world. Not only is Heo Kyung-young deceiving the people of this world but so many pastors are following his words as well. Why are people following him? People are not living focused on God’s Word but they are living in this world bound by the motives of Genesis 3, 6, and 11 even if they are attending church. People are all trying to be their own god, be successful, and only going after what will benefit their own good. That is why we should not be conformed to this world but we need to discover God’s Word while distinguishing what is good within this world. What is God’s mission for us? It is Acts 1:8 (“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”). We are continuing to pray with the message to raise up to 30 absolute disciples. Pray to God that He will bless you to raise up 30 absolute disciples. Until we meet God again, may we receive the blessing to raise up 30 absolute disciples. When we hold onto this message and pray, then God will grant us the blessing of fulfillment.
