The Faith that Blessed Moses' Parents (Hebrews 11:23)

“By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command.”
Introduction
Life is full of making choices and decisions. The results of our past choices will make our today and future. This is an event that happened in America and there were two young men who went to the casino. Before they got to the casino, there was a Biblical scripture that was posted on a church building on the way with a title that wrote, “The wages of sin is death.” When one of the young men saw this, he felt guilty. He decided that he needed to stop living life like this, so he told his friend that he needed to go to church. So, he told his friend that instead of going to the casino for them to go to church but when the other friend heard this, he refused and decided to go to the casino instead. 30 years passed and the friend was in prison reading the newspaper and started crying out aloud. There was an article that was published about the 22nd president, President Stephen Grover Cleveland was inaugurated. President Cleveland was the same friend who told the other friend to go to church instead of the casino. Your instant decisions can change your entire life. Because of one of his decisions that he made; it changed his entire life. Your decisions will make your future and the future for your entire family and children. There are many things that happen to us because of our decisions and many decisions may come to you. How do you come to make choices in your life? Will you make a choice based on your worldly needs and wants or will you make a choice for the sake of the gospel? What you decide will determine your future. We read today’s pulpit Biblical scripture together and it was about Moses’ parents. We can see that Moses’ parents' decision made a huge impact on Moses. What kind of faith did Moses’ parents have that made God very pleased in the Bible?
1. The Faith of Moses' Parents
1) The faith that pleased the Lord
Verse 23 - The faith that made God pleased was that Moses' parents were not afraid of the king’s command. They were not afraid of death; this was the kind of faith that they had. The reason why they were not afraid was because they saw how beautiful Moses was. I think Moses was a handsome and good-looking baby when he was young. Does this mean that if your child is beautiful and good-looking that your fears will go away? Calvin says that when the parents saw Moses, they saw hope.
The hope of the covenant that Moses held onto was Genesis 15:13-14 “Then He said to Abram: 'Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. 14 And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions.' ” - When Moses was born, 400 years had passed, and it was now time. The parents of Moses knew that this covenant was going to be fulfilled through Moses. That is why they were not afraid of the king’s command and instead of killing Moses, they kept him alive. They raised him for 3 months and after 3 months, they had to make a decision. They knew that this child was prepared by God, so they decided to entrust Moses to God and put Moses in a basket into the river. The parents of Moses were entrusting the entire life and fate of Moses into God’s hands. But there was something important there.
2) Preparation in faith
They didn’t just entrust this to God, but I am sure that the parents of Moses made sure to make the proper preparation.
Exodus 2:3-4 “But when she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of bulrushes for him, daubed it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river’s bank. 4 And his sister stood afar off, to know what would be done to him.” - They didn’t just throw Moses in the river in the basket, but they made sure to daub the basket with pitch and asphalt so that the basket wouldn’t sink. The parents of Moses had the absolute faith that just like how God saved Noah’s ark, that God will also save Moses. Not only that but the location of the river that they sent Moses down was important and prepared perfectly by the parents of Moses. The Egyptians saw the Nile River as a holy river so they would worship the river as one of their gods. They would center everything with the Nile River to the point where the Egyptian women would bathe in this river. When they would bathe their bodies in the Nile River, they believed that the god of the Nile River will grant them the blessing of fertility. Moses’ mother knew about this. That is why she made the proper preparation to have Moses go down the Nile River. Moses’ mother found the location of where all the women in the palace would bathe and made sure that Moses would float down this pathway. Not only that but Moses’ parents made sure to tell Miriam to follow Moses down the river to see how God will answer their prayers. There is something that we must hold onto from here. They made the proper preparations with their utmost ability; they didn’t just carelessly entrust it to God. With their faith, we can see that God worked.
2. God's Works
1) God's providence
But we can see that at that perfect time, the princess of Egypt was bathing in the Nile River, and she ended up finding a baby in the basket. She opens the basket and she finds Moses inside, crying, because imagine how hungry Moses must have been. When the princess saw the child, she grew pity for the child. She knew that the child was a Hebrew child because of his clothes.
Exodus 2:6-9 “And when she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby wept. So she had compassion on him, and said, 'This is one of the Hebrews’ children.' 7 Then his sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter, 'Shall I go and call a nurse for you from the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you?' 8 And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, 'Go.' So the maiden went and called the child’s mother. 9 Then Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, 'Take this child away and nurse him for me, and I will give you your wages.' So the woman took the child and nursed him.” - The princess knew that the king said to kill all male Hebrew babies by throwing them into the river but the princess found the child in the river, so she was able to justify that he was thrown into the river. So, therefore, the princess grew pity on him and saved him. When Miriam saw this, she ran to the princess and saw how hopeless the princess felt so she asked the princess if she could introduce a wet nurse for her. When the princess heard this, she commanded Miriam to hurry up and bring the wet nurse to her. At that time, who did Miriam bring? She brought Moses’ mother to the princess. The princess tells Moses’ mother to breastfeed Moses and she will pay for her wages. This was how God worked astoundingly and amazingly. Moses’ mother put Moses in the river and God allowed Moses’ mother to raise Moses in the palace. Moses’ mother had a job every single day to breastfeed Moses, to take care of him, and get paid for it. No one could tell Moses’ mother why she didn’t have a job, because her main job was to take care of Moses by the princess’ order. It was the best and most protected job for Moses’ mother and God allowed all of this to happen. If God works, this is how He works. Truly receive these blessings.
2) The reason the Lord used Jochebed
But we need to see how God used Jochebed and why God used her. The reason why God used Jochebed was so that Moses could be imprinted and rooted with the gospel. It wasn’t recorded in the Bible, but Jochebed was imprinted and edited with the gospel. To what extent? It was Moses who recorded the book of Genesis. When was the book of Genesis recorded? Some people say while Moses was in the land of Canaan, and some say in the wilderness. But what is absolute is that Moses was moved and inspired by the words of God when he wrote the book of Genesis. Nothing in the book of Genesis was something that he wrote down randomly. He heard of the gospel ever since he was infant to the age of five because infants were breastfed until the age of 5. I am sure he wrote the book of Genesis after what he heard and was imprinted from his mother. This was how Jochebed imprinted the gospel onto Moses. That is why Moses was able to confess and write, God, who created the heavens and the Earth. Also, how he was able to write regarding the events of the corruption of Adam and Eve, the event Noah’s ark, the Tower of Babel, and the calling of Abraham. Also, the events that happened to Isaac and Jacob as well as Joseph. Very single event, Jochebed made sure to imprint these stories and gospel to Moses. I think Jochebed staked her life to share the gospel to Moses.
The evidence and results of her imprinting the gospel is shown in Exodus 2:11 "Now it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out to his brethren and looked at their burdens. And he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren." - Moses saw the Hebrew men as his brothers. Even though he was prince of Egypt, he knew that he was a Hebrew man. But he saw an Egyptian soldier beating a Hebrew man and when he saw this, he grew furious and ended up killing the Egyptian soldier. Imagine how powerful Moses was to the point where he killed the Egyptian soldier. At that point, he wasn’t just the prince of Egypt, but he was the person of the covenant. The gospel was imprinted into him ever since he was five years old.
Hebrews 11:24-25 “By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.” - This is an astounding passage. It says that Moses would rather choose affliction for his Hebrews brothers than to enjoy the pleasures of the palace. The brothers of Moses, the Hebrew men, Moses saw how hard they were working for the palace of Egypt. This was much Moses was imprinted in the gospel. How was this possible? It was all possible because Jochebed imprinted the gospel into Moses. This shows how important it is to imprint the gospel into us. What needs to be imprinted in us? It is the covenant.
3. The Covenant to Imprint
1) Three blessings in you
We need to imprint three blessings into us. Just like Jochebed imprinted the gospel into Moses, we need to imprint the image of God as seen in Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” - What is the image of God? It is Jesus Christ. Through Jesus Christ, we can have a deep relationship with God, this is the greatest blessing. People of the 3 organizations tell us to awaken what is inside of us. This is the most important thing for us, so find yourself. This is what the 3 organizations are telling the world. Awakening yourself means to discover the rest of the iceberg. 99% of the ice is submerged in the water but only the 1% is seen. The ideology of the 3 organizations tells us that we have hidden potential, you can be your own god. That is why it is so important for us to hold onto God’s covenant.
Secondly is The Spirit within you (Genesis 2:7 “Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”) - One of our remnants asked me one time to expand on this Bible passage. Absolutely understand this. Breath of life in Hebrews is, Nishmat heim. It says in the Biblical passage that the breath of life was breathed into the nostrils of man, this means that the string of life was given to man. The man became a living spirit. What this means is that the Hebrew word, “Nephesh”, meaning “breathing” and “Haya”, meaning “living being” were put together. This means that we are living and breathing beings. This is referring to a living person, breathing soul. This is referring to our spirit. This is how the 3 organizations misinterpret this and tell people to find their hidden, unconscious world. The reason why you have a problem is because you are being captivated by your unconsciousness. They also tell them that people need to uncover this so that they can be freed. With that, they use it to completely ignore God’s power and the words of God. That is why we must be guided by God’s Spirit.
The Word that is living and active (Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”) - The greatest source of power is seen in God’s word. The 3 organizations tell us that there is a different world where we need to gain power and strength from. They tell people that they can do it with a different source. But this is no different from the event of the Tower of Babel; therefore, people have no choice but to fall into destruction. We need to find and follow God’s word. It is the greatest blessing is finding our soul, word of God, and the image of God.
2) Three blessings of eternal transcendence
The blessings of the throne - People of God absolutely possess the heavenly throne. The moment Jochebed held onto God’s covenant, she gained pity from the Egyptian princess. When we hold onto the heavenly throne and pray, then you can possess the power to transcend time and space.
The blessings that transcend time and space - Moses who held onto the covenant and God used Moses to break down the disasters and idols of Egypt. He also enjoyed the blessing of the 237 nations.
The blessings that shine the light upon the 237 nations - Through the event of the Exodus, we could see that it was a time where God’s glory and power was revealed and shining. I am sure that we possess these blessings of the eternal transcendence. The last blessing that we must enjoy is the unprecedented blessings.
3) Three unprecedented blessings
To the individual - The moment you hold onto the covenant, there are blessings that will come to you. We saw in the Biblical passage today, Jochebed held onto the covenant and the moment they were assured of it, the Egyptian princess found Moses and made him the prince of Egypt. We can see that great answers came upon Moses. When you hold onto the covenant, great answers of God will come upon your field.
To the field (Exodus 28:4, 15:20 "And these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, a turban, and a sash. So they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister to Me as priest.15:20 Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.") - I think there was no other female person in the Bible that was more blessed than Jochebed. We can see that through Jochebed, she was able to bring blessings into all her three children. We can see that the blessings that came upon Jochebed were unimaginable. As we know that Moses received tremendous blessings. He was the prince of Egypt and in a sense, could be seen as the prince of Israel. He was able to overthrow Pharaoh and led the people of Israel out of Egypt. We can see that Aaron was made as the high priest. He was the first high priest of Israel.
Not only that but in Exodus 15:20 - Miriam was a prophetess. She was the first prophetess of Israel. Because of Jochebed’s decisions, these were the great blessings and results that came upon her children.
To the church (family line) (Genesis 49:7 "Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce; And their wrath, for it is cruel! I will divide them in Jacob And scatter them in Israel."), (Numbers 3:45 “Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites instead of their livestock. The Levites shall be Mine: I am the Lord.”) - The original status of Israel was seen in Genesis 49:7 - Israel was originally a cursed nation after Jacob’s daughter, Dinah, was raped and the brothers of Dinah killed everyone of Shechem. God cursed all of the men of Israel after this event.
But Jochebed was the one who pleased God and great blessings came as seen in Numbers 3:45. God said that He will take and choose the tribe of Levites to be the most blessed. He was so pleased and happy that He made the Levite tribe His, He called it, “Mine.” We know that the entire nation of Israel was seen as the church of God and in that church, the people who would lead the worship services were the Levites. This is an astounding blessing. Aaron was the high priest, the person who was leading the church. We can see that great blessings came from Jochebed’s faith. I pray that you may also enjoy these blessings in the name of Jesus Christ.
Conclusion
Psalm 23:6 "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." - I believe in this. I pray that you may also believe in it as well. For our entire lives, God’s great goodness and mercy will follow us. May we dwell in the house of God forever and give Him the greatest glory. May the same blessings that came upon Moses and Jochebed come upon you as well.

서론
인생이라는 것이 선택과 선택의 연속인 것 같다. 과거의 선택의 결과가 오늘의 나이고 지금의 우리이다. 미국에서 있던 일이다. 방탕한 두 청년이 도박장을 걸어가고 있었다. 그러다가 길가에 교회 정문 옆에 있는 설교 제목을 보게되었다. 그 제목이 ‘죄의 삯은 사망이다’ 였다. 한 친구가 그것을 보고 강한 죄책감을 느꼈다. 내가 이럴게 아니라 교회에 가야겠다 해서 친구에게 이야기했다. “도박장 가지 말고 교회를 가자.” 그 친구는 그 요구를 뿌리치고 혼자서 도박장으로 갔다. 그 후에 30년이라는 세월이 흘렀다. 감옥소에서 신문을 보던 한 친구가 갑자가 눈물을 터뜨렸다. 신문에 실린 기사는 그 날 대통령에 취임한 22대 대통령 Cleveland에 대한 기사였다. 바로 30년 전에 도박장으로 가다가 교회로 들어간 그 친구였다. 순간의 선택이 일생을 좌우할 수 있다. 순간의 선택이 전 가족의 미래를 결정한다. 우리에게도 결정을 해야할 순간이 많이 찾아온다. 여러분은 어떻게 생각하시는가. 중요한 선택의 순간에 그 판단 기준을 어디에 두시겠는가. 육신에 둘 것인가 먹고 사는데 둘 것인가 아니면 복음에 둘 것인가가 가장 큰 문제이다. 이 두가지 중 어떤 것을 결정하던지 그 결정이 여러분의 미래와 모든 것을 좌우하게 될 것이다. 오늘 본문을 읽었다. 모세의 부모님에 대한 이야기이다. 이 부모님들의 결정이 아주 중대한 영향을 미친 것을 오늘 말씀하고 있다.
1. 모세부모가 잡은 믿음
1) 기뻐하신 믿음
그들이 어떤 믿음을 가졌기에 주님께서 이렇게 기뻐하시면서 성경에 기록되었는가.
히 11:23 믿음으로 모세가 났을 때에 그 부모가 아름다운 아이임을 보고 석 달 동안 숨겨 왕의 명령을 무서워하지 아니하였으며
하나님께서 기뻐하시는 믿음이 왕의 명령을 무서워하지 않았던 믿음이었다는 것이다. 죽음을 두려워하지 않은 믿음을 갖고있었다는 말이다. 그 원인이 그 부모가 아름다운 아이임을 보고 무서워하지 않았다고 한다. 아이가 아주 잘생긴 아이였던 모양이다. 그것을 보고 무서워하지 않았다는 것이 잘 이해가 되지 않는다. 아이가 잘생기면 무서워지지 않는가. 그것을 이야기하는 것이 아니다. 칼빈은 이야기하기를 그 부모가 아이의 얼굴을 보자마자 언약 성취에 대한 소망을 발견했다고 이야기하고 있다. 그 부모가 잡은 언약의 소망이 무엇이었는가.
창 15:13-14 여호와께서 아브람에게 이르시되 너는 반드시 알라 네 자손이 이방에서 객이 되어 그들을 섬기겠고 그들은 사백 년 동안 네 자손을 괴롭히리니. 14 그들이 섬기는 나라를 내가 징벌할지며 그 후에 네 자손이 큰 재물을 이끌고 나오리
모세가 태어날 때 거의 400년이 다 되어가는 시기였다. 아 하나님께서 이 아이를 통해서 그 뜻을 이루시려고 하는구나 하는 확신이 왔다는 것이다. 그래서 왕의 명령을 무서워하지 않고 남자 아이를 낳으면 당장에 강에 던져서 죽여야하는데 죽이지 않고 집에서 키웠다. 석 달을 키웠다. 그리고 석 달 위에 결정을 내리게 된다. 이 아이가 틀림없이 하나님께서 준비한 아이라 하게되면 우리가 갈대 상자를 만들어서 강에 띄워보자 하고 부모가 결정했다. 그러니까 이 부모는 전적으로 이 생명을 하나님께 맡겨버린 것이다. 그런데 여기서 중요한 것이 있다. 이 사람들은 그냥 하나님께 맡겨버리는 것이 아니라 나름대로 부모가 협의해서 이 아이를 위해서 준비한 것을 볼 수 있다.
2) 믿음으로 준비
출 2:4더 숨길 수 없게 되매 그를 위하여 갈대 상자를 가져다가 역청과 나무 진을 칠하고 아기를 거기 담아 나일 강 가 갈대 사이에 두고
그냥 갈대 상자에 넣어서 던진 것이 아니라 이 아이는 틀림없이 살테니까 역청을 발라서 물이 절대 새지 않도록 해서 하나님께서 어떻게 하시는지 보자 하면서 철저히 방주를 준비한 것이다. 아마 이들이 옛날 노아 방주 때 역청을 바른 것을 보면서 우리 아이가 갈대상자에 들어가게 되면 하나님께서 방주에서 살리신 것 처럼 모세도 살리지 않겠나 하는 믿음을 갖고 넣었을 것이다. 그 뿐 아니라 장소도 준비했다. 아기를 거기 담아 나일 강 가 갈대 사이에 두었다고 이야기하고 있다. 이 애굽 사람들은 나일강을 아주 성스러운 거룩한 장소로 생각한다. 나일강을 신으로 모셨다. 그래서 여인들은 특별한 지역을 정해놓고 종교의식을 행하는데 나일강에 몸을 담군다. 다산을 하고 평안을 나일신께서 주신다는 믿음으로 목욕을 한다. 모세의 부모는 그것을 알았다. 그래서 철저한 계획을 세운다. 그래서 궁중에 있는 여인들이 나와서 목욕하는 장소를 알아보고 난 다음에 이 방주를 갈대 속에 가져다놓은 것이다. 그 뿐 아니라 미리암을 보고 가지 말고 멀리서 쳐다보아라 하고 대기시켜놓았다. 하나님께서 어떻게 응답하시는지 보자 하면서 대기하고 있는 것이다. 여기서 중요한 것을 붙잡아야겠다. 하나님께서 맡기면 다 알아서 하실 것 아니야 한 것이 아니라 철저하게 준비해서 하나님께서 하시도록 나름대로 최선을 다한 것을 볼 수 있다. 그 믿음의 행위를 보면서 하나님께서는 역사하시기 시작한다.
2. 하나님의 역사
1) 하나님의 섭리
갔다놓은지 시간이 얼마나 된지 모르겠다. 그 때 마침 공주가 시녀들을 데리고 나와서 목욕을 하러 그 장소에 갔다. 그런데 보니까 큰 갈대상자가 있었다. 갈대상자를 열어보았다. 열자마가 아기가 울기 시작한다. 이 공주가 갑자기 불쌍한 마음이 든다. 그런데 보니까 히브리 사람 옷을 입고있었다. 이 때 바로의 공주가 누가 이렇게 버렸어 한 것이 아니라 바로가 버리라고 했으니까 버려진 아이로 받아들인 것이다. 하나님께서 바로의 공주에게 불쌍한 마음을 주셔서 받아들이게 하신다. 공주가 안고있는데 막 울고있는 모습을 보면서 미리암이 쫓아가서 이야기한다. 공주가 어린아이 우는 것을 보고 젖을 줄 수도 없고 난처한 입장이었다. 그 때 미리암이 쫓아가서 이 아이에게 젖을 줄 히브리 사람 유모를 한 명 불러드려도 되겠습니까 하고 물어본다. 그러니까 공주가 더 생각할 것 없이 빨리 가서 데리고오라고 한다. 그 때 미리암이 어머니를 데리고왔다. 이 공주가 모세의 어머니에게 이야기한다.
출 2:9바로의 딸이 그에게 이르되 이 아기를 데려다가 나를 위하여 젖을 먹이라 내가 그 삯을 주리라 여인이 아기를 데려다가 젖을 먹이더니
얼마나 하나님께서 기가막히게 역사하셨는가. 하나님을 믿고 갈대상자에 넣어서 버렸더니 하나님께서 역사하셔서 어머니께서 직접 키울 수 있도록 모든 문을 여셨다. 요게벳은 졸지에 취직이 된 것이다. 이제는 벽돌 굽는데 가지 않아도 된다. 하루 종일 앉아서 아이 젖만 먹이면 되는 것이다. 누가 와서 너는 왜 일 안하고 있느냐 하면 바로의 공주가 이 아이를 키우라고 했어요 하면 그 누구도 이야기할 사람이 없는 것이다. 가장 안전하게 보수를 받아가면서 하나님께서 키울 수 있도록 보장해주신 것이다. 하나님께서 역사하시면 이렇게 역사하신다.
2) 요게벳을 쓰신 이유
그런데 여기서 붙잡아야할 것은 하나님께서 다른 유모를 데리고 온 것이 아니라 왜 요게벳을 쓰셨는가 하는 이유를 붙잡아야겠다. 하나님께서 요게벳을 쓰신 이유는 모세에게 철저하게 말씀을 각인시킬 수 있는 복음이 그에게 있었기 때문이다. 성경에 기록되어있지 않지만 요게벳은 완전히 말씀으로 편집되어있는 사람이었다. 어느 정도인가. 창세기를 기록한 사람이 모세이다. 창세기를 기록한 것이 언제였는가. 어떤 사람은 가나안에서 썼다고 하고 어떤 사람은 미디안 광야 40년 때 썼다고 한다. 그런데 분명한 것은 모세가 성령의 감동을 받아서 쓴 사실이다. 그런데 모세가 전혀 듣지도 못한 이야기를 만들어서 한 것은 아니다. 어렸을 때 부터, 젖을 뗄 때 까지 어머니에게서 들었던 내용을 기억하면서 썼을 것이다. 이 때 요게벳은 결사적으로 모세에게 말씀을 가르쳤을 것이다. 천지를 창조하신 하나님, 아담과 하와의 타락, 노아 홍수 사건, 바벨탑 사건, 아브라함을 부른 사건, 이삭, 야곱, 요셉에게 일어난 사건 들을 매일 저녁에 24시 말씀을 전하면서 가르쳤을 것이다. 저는 틀림없이 요게벳 정도 되면 죽을 각오를 하고 생명을 다해서 복음을 전했을 것 같다. 이 각인 시킨 증거가 나타난다.
출 2:11 모세가 장성한 후에 한번은 자기 형제들에게 나가서 그들이 고되게 노동하는 것을 보더니 어떤 애굽 사람이 한 히브리 사람 곧 자기 형제를 치는 것을 본지라
이 말씀을 보게되면 모세가 자기 형제들을 보기 위해서 갔다고 이야기하고 있다. 공주의 아들이었음에도 자기는 애굽사람이 아니라 이스라엘 사람이라는 것이다. 자기 형제를 애굽 군인이 때린 것이다. 이 때린 것이 얼마나 분이나고 화가 났던지 참지 못하고 그 날 조용히 만나서 때려 죽여버렸다. 군인을 때려죽였다면 얼마나 모세도 힘이 쎘겠는가. 사정없이 두들겨 팬 것이다. 그는 애굽의 왕자가 아니라 이미 하나님의 언약의 백성이었다. 다섯살 때 까지 들었던 언약이 완전히 각인되어있었던 것이다.
히 11:24-25 믿음으로 모세는 장성하여 바로의 공주의 아들이라 칭함 받기를 거절하고 25 도리어 하나님의 백성과 함께 고난 받기를 잠시 죄악의 낙을 누리는 것보다 더 좋아하고
이것은 놀라운 이야기이다. 자기는 공주의 아들임에도 불구하고 자기 형제들이 벽들을 굽고 공사하는데 그것을 보면서 너무나 괴로우니까 내가 궁중에 있는 것 보다 저들과 같이 벽돌을 굽고 부역을 하는게 더 편하겠다 하고 생각했다는 것이다. 죄악의 날을 누리는 것 보다 더 좋아했다는 것이다. 완전히 복음으로 각인되었던 것이다. 이것이 누구 때문인가. 바로 요게벳이 말씀으로 각인한 것 때문이다. 우리가 축복받기 위해서는 말씀 각인이 얼마나 중요한지 모른다. 실제 현장에서 우리가 각인해야할 것이 무엇인가 하는 언약을 붙잡아야겠다.
3. 각인시켜야할 언약
1) 내 속에 있는 축복 3가지
내 속에 있는 세가지 축복을 꼭 각인해야겠다. 요게벳은 그 때 당시 복음을 각인시켰지만 우리는 내 속에 있는 창 1:27에 나오는 하나님의 형상을 각인시켜야겠다.
창 1:27 하나님이 자기 형상 곧 하나님의 형상대로 사람을 창조하시되 남자와 여자를 창조하시고
하나님의 형상이 무엇인가. 그리스도이다. 그리스도를 통해서 깊은 교제를 누리는 것이 최고의 축복이다. 많은 세상 사람들, 3단체에서는 네 속에 있는 잠재력을 개발하라고 한다. 네 속에 있는 네가 중요한 것이야. 진짜 너를 찾아라. 잠재력이라는 것은 얼음이 물 속에 있게 되면 물 위에는 10분의 1밖에 나타나지 않는다. 90%는 다 잠겨있는 것이다. 네 속에 있는 잠재력을 키우면 하나님처럼 될 수 있어 하는 것이 바로 3단체에서 이야기하는 것이다. 그러면 우리는 절대 언약 잡는 것이 얼마나 중요한가. 이것을 누려야한다. 두번쨰는 창 2:7 말씀이다.
창2:7 여호와 하나님이 땅의 흙으로 사람을 지으시고 생기를 그 코에 불어넣으시니 사람이 생령이 되니라
어떤 렘넌트가 이것에 대해서 자세히 이야기해주었으면 좋겠다 하는 말을 들은 적이 있다. 여기서 생기라는 것은 히브리말로 니쉬마트 하임 이라는 단어이다. 이것은 바람, 호흡이라는 의미를 갖고있다. 이것을 입에 불어넣었다는 것은 생명의 근원을 넣었다는 것이다. 생령이 되었다고 이야기하고 있다. 이것은 호흡한다 하는 네페쉬 하고 존재라는 하야 라는 단어가 합쳐진 것이다. 호흡하는 존재라는 의미이다. 호흡하고 있는 살아있는 혼이라는 의미를 갖고있는 것이다. 살아있는 인격을 말하고 있는 것이다. 이 혼이라는 것은 마음을 이야기한다. 지정의를 가진 인격을 말한다. 3단체는 이것을 이용한다. 네 안에 있는 무의식 세계, 네가 전혀 깨닫지 못하고 있는 네 속에 무의식 세계를 찾으라는 것이다. 네가 왜 문제가 있느냐. 네 속에 노예된 것이 있고 포로된 것을 찾아내야한다는 것이다. 그렇게 되면 해방 받고 자유를 얻고 힘을 얻게 될 것이라고 말한다. 하나님이 주신 생명력을 무시하고 거기에서 찾으라는 것이다. 그러므로 하나님께서 주신 생명력으로 성령의 인도를 받는 것이 가장 축복된 삶이다. 내 속에 있는 축복의 또 하나는 히 4:12 말씀이다.
히4:12 하나님의 말씀은 살아 있고 활력이 있어 좌우에 날선 어떤 검보다도 예리하여 혼과 영과 및 관절과 골수를 찔러 쪼개기까지 하며 또 마음의 생각과 뜻을 판단하나니
우리에게 영원한 생명의 힘은 말씀에 있다. 3단체에서 네 그 세계 말고 다른 세계가 있다는 것이다. 그러면서 말씀을 부정하고 다른데서 찾게 만든다. 결국은 바벨탑처럼 실패할 수 밖에 없다. 그렇기 때문에 말씀을 붙잡고 절대 목표를 향해서 나아가야한다. 내 속에 있는 축복, 하나님의 형상과 나의 영과 말씀을 통해서 누리는 이것이 가장 큰 축복이다.
2) 영원한 초월의 축복 3가지
각인 시켜야할 두번째 축복은 영원한 초월의 축복이다. 보좌의 축복을 누려야겠다. 하나님의 백성에게는 보좌의 축복이 반드시 일어나고 있다. 요게벳을 보더라도 요게벳이 언약을 잡는 순간에 벌써 바로의 공주의 마음에 불쌍함이 생기는 역사가 일어났다. 우리가 보좌의 축복의 말씀을 잡고 기도하게 되면 반드시 시공간을 초월하는 축복이 나타나게 되어있다. 하나님께서 말씀으로 각인된 모세를 애굽에 열가지 재앙을 일으키는 도구로 사용하신다. 그 결과로 237 빛의 축복을 누리게 된다. 출애굽 사건을 통해서 전 세계에 하나님의 영광을 드러내고 하나님의 살아계심을 증거하는 역사가 나타났다. 저는 분명히 이 세가지 시공간을 초월하는 축복이 우리에게 일어나고 있는 것을 믿는다.
3) 전무후무한 응답의 축복 3가지
우리가 마지막으로 누려야할 축복은 전무후무한 응답의 축복이다. 이것은 내가 언약을 잡는 순간에 나타난다. 어려운 것이 아니다. 모세의 부모 요게벳과 아므람이 언약을 확실히 잡은 순간에 바로의 무남독녀 외딸이 모세를 양아들로 삼는 역사가 나타났다. 모세에게 나타난 전무후무한 응답이다. 모세의 부모가 받은 전무후무한 응답이다. 언약을 잡으면 현장에서도 역사를 일으키신다. 저는 성경에 여자들 가운데서 요게벳이 제일 큰 축복을 받은 것 같다. 요게벳이 낳은 3남매 전부가 축복을 받았다. 요게벳이 받은 축복은 상상할 수 없는 축복이다. 모세가 얼마나 큰 축복을 받았는가. 모세는 사실적으로 왕적인 축복을 받은 사람이다. 바로를 꺾고 전 백성을 다스리는 왕적인 축복을 실질적으로 누렸던 사람이다. 출 28:4에 보면 그 형 아론을 대제사장으로 삼는 것이 나타난다.
출28:4 그들이 지을 옷은 이러하니 곧 흉패와 에봇과 겉옷과 반포 속옷과 관과 띠라 그들이 네 형 아론과 그 아들들을 위하여 거룩한 옷을 지어 아론이 내게 제사장 직분을 행하게 하라
아론이 최초의 대제사장이 된 것이다. 뿐만 아니라 출 15:20에 보게되면
출 15:20 아론의 누이 선지자 미리암이 손에 소고를 잡으매 모든 여인도 그를 따라 나오며 소고를 잡고 춤추니
미리암은 선지자의 축복을 받은 것이다. 이스라엘의 최초의 여자 선지자가 된 것이다. 이 요게벳의 선택으로 인해서 얼마나 큰 축복의 자녀들이 일어났는가. 그 다음은 교회의 축복이다. 요게벳의 축복을 보게되면 레위 족속이라는 것은 창 49:7 말씀에 보면 저주받은 민족이다.
창49:7 그 노여움이 혹독하니 저주를 받을 것이요 분기가 맹렬하니 저주를 받을 것이라 내가 그들을 야곱 중에서 나누며 이스라엘 중에서 흩으리로다
세겜성에서 여자동생 디나가 강간을 당한 것을 보고 참지 못해서 거짓말을 하고 다 죽이고 물건을 훔치는 일이 있었다. 하나님께서 얼마나 진노하셨던지 저주를 받을 것이요, 저주를 받을 것이다, 기업은 없다 하면서 저주를 내리셨다. 그런데 요게벳이 믿음을 통해서 죽음을 두려워하지 않고 모세를 키워서 말씀으로 양육시킨 것을 하나님께서 기쁘게 여기셔서 민 3:45 말씀에 축복하신다.
민3:45 이스라엘 자손 중 모든 처음 태어난 자 대신에 레위인을 취하고 또 그들의 가축 대신에 레위인의 가축을 취하라 레위인은 내 것이라 나는 여호와니라
다시 말씀드리면 이스라엘 모든 첫번째 장자를 대신에서 레위 족속을 장자의 족속으로 받아들이겠다는 것이다. 얼마나 하나님께서 기뻐하셨던지 레위는 내 것이라 하시면서 선포하셨다. 이스라엘이라는 전 민족이 하나님 앞에서는 교회이다. 그 교회에서 예배를 주장하는 족속이 레위족속이었다. 놀라운 축복이다. 아론은 그 중에서도 대제사장이 되는 축복을 받았다. 어마어마한 축복이 요게벳과 아버지를 통해서 이루어졌다. 여러분들도 이 축복 누리시는 여러분 되시기를 축원한다.
결론
시 23:6 내 평생에 선하심과 인자하심이 반드시 나를 따르리니 내가 여호와의 집에 영원히 살리로다
저는 여러분 이것을 믿는다. 여러분들에게도 그대로 적용되는 줄로 믿는다. 평생에 하나님의 선하심과 인자하심이 따르고 있는 줄로 믿는다. 우리는 항상 여호와의 집에서 말씀을 사모하며 영광돌리는 삶을 살게되는 축복을 받게되기를 소원한다. 오늘 말씀드린 요게벳과 아므람의 축복이 그 사람의 축복이 아니라 여러분들의 축복인 줄로 믿는다.
