The Grace of Christ Revealed in the Holy of Holies (Hebrews 9:3-5)

“3 And behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, 4 which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that had the manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant; 5 and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.”
Introduction
Last week, there was a pastor in Seattle, pastor Jeong Dong-Gi, who passed away so a funeral was held for him. Due to the coronavirus, they had to stream his funeral via zoom and I also participated in his zoom funeral. The pastor who passed away, he left a will in a letter for his wife. The content of that will stated, “We will meet in heaven again and let’s have a date there.” I think this was the most beautiful will that I have ever heard and I believe that this was the most beautiful will. I truly believe that their beautiful meeting will take place in heaven at the tree of life. For our believers, we have the future of hope. What is absolute is that this pastor is enjoying the greatest extent of the throne of heaven right now. We have been discussing about the three items of the sanctuary which symbolized the three roles of Christ. Also, Jesus Christ is within the Holy Place and is guiding and within us. Today, we will discuss the three blessings within the Holy of Holies which signifies the three roles of Christ. Let us first look at the ark of the covenant.
1. God the Father's Mercy
1) The Ark of the Covenant
The ark of the covenant, there were two stone tablets. The two tablets, the first one was broken apart and the second one was within the ark of the covenant. The reason why the first tablet broke was because the Israelites worshipped idols so Moses became so angry that he threw and broke the first tablet. Why did the Israelites create an idol?
The reason is seen in Exodus 32:1, 28 (“Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, 'Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.' 28 So the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses. And about three thousand men of the people fell that day.”) - The motive was not towards God’s glory but it was for their own sake. This is the strategy of Satan to deceive mankind as we can see in Genesis 3. They didn’t possess the walk of faith that sought after God but they sought after their own personal motives and greed. The first problem was that they lived their walk of faith based on their own standards and desires. When God saw this, He became very angry.
Exodus 32:28 - God ended up killing three thousand Israelites as a result. They crossed the Red Sea after following God but they ended up making their own idols, which made God become angry and carry His wrath onto them. They had no choice but to fall into destruction. But, we can see God’s great mercy was given to them. Despite God’s judgment, the Israelites had no choice but to face God’s wrath but God showed His greatest mercy and grace to them. It was by having Moses re-write the stone tablet. What does this mean? This means that you cannot solve this on your own so you need Jesus Christ. This was the proof of the covenant of the tablet. The problem that they could not solve on their own, God promised Jesus Chirst who will solve their problem.
The second item was the jar of manna within the ark of covenant. The manna didn’t just appear out of nowhere but it was created for a reason. When Israelites saw the great miracles after they crossed the Red Sea, they became hungry as they were going through the wilderness. They should have continued to look up to God after they saw all of those miracles but instead they did’t pray at all to God and ended up grumbling and complaining. They spoke about how much food that they had back in Egypt and started complaining on how hungry they were in the wilderness. They couldn’t contain their hunger and they couldn’t have thanksgiving at all and instead, had unbelief and grumbling instead. What is the problem? It all was because of food. Be careful of mukbang videos. These mukbang videos are dangerous. Life centered on food, this was what caused the problem for the Israelites.
If you look in Genesis 6, if you live a worldly based life and life filled with greed, then you will live a life of destruction and failure. The Israelites witnessed great miracles in the wilderness but they didn’t pray at all but were only filled with greed and only had resentment and unthankfulness. They had no choice but to be destroyed but God poured down His great mercy and grace upon them.
2) The jar of manna
Exodus 16:3-4 (“And the children of Israel said to them, 'Oh, that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.' 4 Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.' ”) - When God provides, He will give you abundantly. He will rain down abundantly. He solved their hunger in an instant. The solution to their hunger was manna. This manna wasn’t a simple answer to their hunger. This food was given from heaven. This was the nourishment from heaven, this means that Jesus Christ will be granted to them from heaven. God will give them true life, Jesus Christ.
3) Aaron's staff
The third item was Aaron’s staff. You can see that an event occurred.
Numbers 16:1-2, 49 (“Now Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men; 2 and they rose up before Moses with some of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty leaders of the congregation, representatives of the congregation, men of renown. 49 Now those who died in the plague were fourteen thousand seven hundred, besides those who died in the Korah incident.”) - There was a family member of Aaron, Korah who was his first cousin and Dathan, who was Reuben’s son. People were saying that Aaron was the great high priest so people were praising Aaron; however, Korah saw how he was from the same family line descendant and started was grumbling against Aaron. This was becuase to Korah saw that he was no different Aaron and started growing jealous of Aaron. As a result, Dathan and Korah started challenging against Aaron and Moses. Dathan was also saying that he was from a strong family line, Reuben’s family line. When God saw this, He poured down His great anger upon them. He made 250 leaders burn in the fire and 14,700 died in a plague. God poured down His great wrath upon them. The reason for this was because Korah and Dathan grew jealous. They wanted to succeed and become better than Aaron, and as a result, they became masked and taken away by jealously and envy.
Genesis 11 - People are full of desires and greed for success. God poured down His great destruction. God did not destroy everything but showed His great mercy and compassion. The compassion that He showed was having flowers and fruits bud on Aarorn’s staff. This means that God is watching us and He will open new generations of life. Aaron’s budded staff was to show God’s people the promise of Jesus Christ who will be sent to them. You can see that God showed His great evidences through these three items within the ark of the covenant. A problem happened but God gave all of His answers but behind all of His answers, we can that it was Jesus Christ who was the answer in the end.
John 6:40 (“And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”) - What is God’s will, it was to send Jesus Christ to give us eternal life. If we just believe in Jesus who God has sent to us, then we will be saved and receive eternal life. This is the meaning of the Holy of Holies. Jesus Christ realistically fulfilled this when He came to Earth. Then, we can see the fulfillment of the ark of the covenant.
2. God the Son's Fulfillment
1) The fulfillment of the Ark of the Covenant
Exodus 25:16 (“And you shall put into the ark the Testimony which I will give you.”) - It refers to the ark of the covenant as the ark of the testimony. The ark of testimony is referring to the evidence. What is this evidence referring to? This evidence is referring to the existence of Jesus Christ, Christ as the reign of all things as well as Jesus’ reign as the True King and the fulfillment of His roles as the True Christ. To explain an evidence that occurred, we can see that the Wall of Jericho broke down. We can see the evidence of the Wall of Jericho collapsing. The evidence was shown in the land of the Philistines, idolatry was broken down, and destruction and curses came upon the land of the Philistines. All of these evidences were all referring to Jesus Christ, the True King.
Matthew 5:18 (“For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.”) - We can see that Jesus Christ fulfilled this in this Bible passage. The 10 commandments, no one can follow of them and even if you love God with all of your heart, you cannot follow all of them perfectly. Because of this, curses came upon mankind. But, Jesus Christ fulfilled this on the cross and when He died on the cross, He fulfilled the love of God. Without missing anything out, He completely fulfilled everything. Anyone who believes in this Christ, then you receive the blessing as a child of God.
Revelation 21:7-8 (“He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”) - This shows the fulfillment in the last days. We spoke about about this last week but the 10 commandments within the ark of the covenant, they were eternal. Whether you life or die, is determined by this. The reason why Jesus Christ died on the cross was for this reason as well.
Revelation 21:7 - In other words, those who believe in this will become heirs of God and children of God. All you have to do is believe. All of you do is believe in what Jesus Christ has done for you. Those who don’t believe, then you will be faced with the ultimate judgment. Those who don’t believe, they are called cowards, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and liars. The greatest covenant was being fulfilled.
2) The fulfillment of the manna jar
Jeuss Chirst fulfilled this.
Exodus 16:20 (“Notwithstanding they did not heed Moses. But some of them left part of it until morning, and it bred worms and stank. And Moses was angry with them.”) - The manna that came from above only lasted for a day so if you didn’t eat it within a day, then it would rot overnight. What is important is that during the day of the Sabbath, a double portion of manna came to them. Even if they didn’t eat it in one day, the manna did not rot during the night and lasted for two days. Why was that? Not only that but with even one manna, it was able feed numerous people. Why is that? What we need to absolutely hold onto is that even if it is the same manna, the manna given during worship was eternal. In other words, the manna for worship is referring to the bread of life. The bread of life is referring to the word of life. We need both hold onto this. It is said in the Bible that all of the Israelites who ate of manna, they all died but the important content within this is that, anyone who holds onto God’s word, then they will be given eternal life.
John 6:51 (“I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”) - This was what was fulfilled with God’s word. Aaron’s staff was God’s fulfillment. Within Aaron’s staff, there was no life since it was made up of dead wood. It doesn’t make sense for a staff to have life but the staff was referring to the people of God. Why is that?
3) The fulfillment of Aaron's staff
It was because if you have unbelief, then you will surely die as it is written in Genesis 2:17 (“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”) - But within Aaron’s staff, it started blooming. How was this possible? It was completely done by God. How did God do it? By the grace of God. If God pours down His grace then life is given. This is the life of our salvation. Our salvation was given by God’s grace and given to us unconditionally without us having to do something in return. It said that only Aaron’s staff budded. This means that God raised up Aaron. What is the reason on why God raised up only Aaron? Aaron was a symbol and representation of Jesus. Just like how God raised up Aaron, God was saying that He will raise up Jesus Chirst as well. Just like how the dead staff was raised to life, Jesus Chirst will come, died on the cross, and give life to mankind. Only Aaron’s staff budded which means that we as mankind can receive this blessing. Jesus Chirst came and fulfilled the three items of the Holy of Holies perfectly. If He can solve the three problems then He can solve any problem. Who does this work? It is the work of the Holy Spirit. We have continued to receive blessings and we have received the message regarding the cultural warfare.
3. God the Spirit's Fulfillment
1) Cultural warfare
We can see that many singers who sing to their whole heart’s content and connect with their emotions deeply, they are the most popular singers. They become completely lost within their music as they sing the songs. Depending on what type of music it is, people get happy or sad by listening to them. Lately in Korea, there is a trot singer named Lim Young-woong and he sang a song about a couple in their 60s but this song has over 5 million views on Youtube. Even people who didn’t understand Korean were shedding tears after hearing his song. Even despite how different their culture is, they were still shedding tears over music that they couldn’t understand the language of. Why is this happening? I have heard music majors and experts say this, and I can kind of understand. When people sing, they say a “being” comes and visits them and so they are able to sing in a way that captivates people and the audience. “That being” comes and visits them but who is that “being” that they are referring to? I am sure they are talking about a spiritual being. I am absolutely sure this is not the work of the Holy Spirit. This doesn’t just happen to singers but also to actors. When you look at someone who is great at acting, they try to enter into their character fully. Some actors who play villains, they look like they are demon possessed. When I look at these actors’ faces, I think to myself that person is in danger. The acting becomes imprinted in that actor. They are having to constantly throw themselves away and pour themselves within that character and acting that they start losing themselves. The mind is so important. Within the mind, whatever you put in, you become influenced by it in the end. If it is not the work of the Holy Spirit, then it is absolutely the work of the world. Then these things become imprinted in people’s mind. Not only does it plow into your mind but also within your soul. Your soul determines your destiny. That is why many actors end up committing suicide. Many signers and actors if you hear what they say, they say that they see ghosts and demons. These young generations are constantly listening to pop music but if they continue to listen them, then these songs will become imprinted within their mind. Then, this will become imprinted within their minds and become part of their personality. Then, those who are constantly dwelling within that, then they say that they start seeing things around them. When they can’t handle things anymore, they end up committing suicide. Those who are addicts to gambling, games, and drugs, they start losing themselves. The moment they lose themselves, then their souls are being captives and possessed. This is the same with the transcendental meditation.
The darkness within the culture, how can we fight against this and overcome it? The Bible give us a simple answer. This is what the main passage is talking about today. Just hold onto only Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”) - The moment you hold onto Christ, then you become a new creation. We need to enjoy this and hold onto it. If you just hold onto the covenant, then anyone can live. When you look at today’s passage, we need to know how to heal.
2) The method of healing
Joshua 3:4 (“Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.”) - God was speaking to them the solution on how to cross the Jordan River. The Jordan River was overflowing but God was telling them not to try to find their own methods and solutions on crossing the Jordan River but rather for them to hold onto the covenant. Just hold onto and follow the covenant, and God promised to guide and lead them.
Joshua 1:8 (“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”) - The method to healing is hold onto the word of God and praying then God will guide us. Truly enjoy this blessing.
Joshua 5:9 (“Then the Lord said to Joshua, 'This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.' Therefore the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day.”) - This the other method of healing. When the Israelites were crossing the Jordan river, they stood before the Wall of Jericho. When they stood before the great Wall of Jericho, God told them to perform circumcision. If they performed cirumcision, then they couldn’t move and fight against their enemies but despite all of that, the Israelites held onto covenant and obeyed God’s command. They held onto Only Christ. When they committed the circumcision, God protected them. God saw their great faith and showed them great mercy. All of the old reproaches and the past problems, due to your faith, they will all come to an end. All of the reproaches, your past, and shame, in order to heal and be freed from them is don’t try any other method but hold onto only Christ. Become people who receive answers.
Conclusion
Hold onto Ezekiel 37:10 (“So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.”) - When God’s word was proclaimed, the dead bones came back to life. When they prophesied of the word, the bones came back to life and became a great, living army. I always pray this prayer when I pray. I pray that our church congregation, when we proclaim the word of God, may this get work also take place for us. When we proclaim the gospel, may the work of raising a great army take place as well as raising the dead back to life take place. May you receive great blessings. May we take this time to pray over our weakness and illnesses.
지성소에 나타난 그리스도 은혜(히9:3-5)
서론
지난 주간에 시애틀에 계신 정동기 목사님이 소천하셔서 장례식이 있었다. 요즘은 움직일 수가 없으니까 줌으로 장례식을 치뤘다. 저도 같이 참여했다. 진행되는 가운데 돌아가신 목사님께서 자기 아내에게 유언으로 편지를 쓰신 내용이 나타났다. 나중에 천국에 있는 생명나무 아래에서 만나면 데이트 합시다 하는 내용이 있었다. 저는 유언 중에서 그렇게 아름다운 유언은 처음 봤다. 최고의 유언이 아닌가 하는 생각이 들었다. 나중에 아름다운 두 분의 만남이 생명나무 아래에서 이루어질 줄로 믿는다. 우리 하나님의 자녀들은 미래의 소망이 확실하게 있다. 지금쯤은 아마 그 목사님께서 보좌의 축복을 풍성하게 받고 계신 줄로 믿는다. 지난 시간에는 성소에서 일어나는 그리스도의 삼직에 대해서 이야기를 들었다. 성소, 하나님의 보좌 우편에서 일어나는 삼직의 내용에 대해서 보았다. 그리고 지금 보좌 우편에 계신 주님께서, 그 성소에서 보좌의 세 가지 축복을 주시는 것을 받았다. 오늘은 지성소에서 나타나고 있는 삼직의 축복에 대해서 말씀을 받기를 원한다.
1. 성부 하나님의 긍휼
1) 언약궤
지성소에 나타나는 세가지 삼직은 세가지 사건을 통해서 하나님께서 약속하시는 내용과 성취가 나타난다. 이 말씀을 보게되면 하나님의 긍휼하심이 극진하시구나 하는 것을 볼 수 있다. 먼저 언약궤를 보겠다. 언약궤에는 십계명의 두 돌 판이 들어있다. 이 언약궤 속에 들어있는 두 돌판은 첫번째 것은 깨지고 두번째 것이 들어있다고 나온다. 첫번째 것이 깨어진 이유가 이스라엘 백성들이 불신앙을 해서 금송아지를 만들어서 모세가 화가 나서 깨뜨렸다고 나온다. 그 이스라엘 백성들은 왜 우상을 만들었는가 하는 이유는 출 32:1에 우리를 인도할 신을 만들기 위함이라고 나온다. 동기가 하나님의 영광을 위하여가 아니라 우리를 위한 것이 문제가 된 것이다. 이것은 창 3장에 나타나는 네가 하나님 처럼 되리라 하는 사단의 유혹과 같은 것이다. 하나님 중심, 하나님께 의탁하는 신앙이 아니라 나를 중심으로 하는 신앙인 것이다. 이들이 근본적으로 예배의 대상을 제대로 잡지 못하다가 우상을 만든 것이다. 하나님께서 이것을 보고 대단히 진노하셨다.
출32:28 --이 날에 백성 중에 삼천 명 가량이 죽임을 당하니라
하나님의 인도를 받아서 홍해를 건너온 이스라엘 백성들이 하나님을 섬기지 않고 우상을 만드니까 하나님께서는 진노하신 것이다. 그 백성들은 다 멸망당할 수 밖에 없는 지경에 빠진 것이다. 그런데 하나님의 놀라우신 긍휼하심이 나타난다. 다 심판을 받아서 멸망시켜야하는 존재임에도 하나님께서는 긍휼을 베풀으셔서 은혜를 주신다. 그것이 바로 언약의 돌판에 글을 다시 새겨서 주시는 것이다. 이것은 도무지 너희 자신들로 해결이 안되니까 언약의 말씀되신 그리스도를 허락하겠다는 의미이다. 도저히 해결할 수 없는 이 문제를 그리스도를 통해서 해결하시겠다는 것이다.
2) 만나 항아리
두번째로 지성소에는 만나 항아리가 들어있다. 만나 항아리가 그냥 생긴 것이 아니라 사건을 통해서 생겼다. 홍해를 건너온 이스라엘 백성들이 그 어마어마한 기적을 보고난 후에 배가 고프게 되었다. 그 홍해의 기적을 봤다면 믿음을 갖고 모여서 기도합시다 해야했을 것이다. 그런데 기도하지 아니하고 불평부터 하기 시작했다. 우리 옛날 애굽에서 노예할 때 고기 가마 곁에서 떡을 배불리 먹지 않았느냐, 지금 우리는 뭐하고 있냐 하고 참지 못하는 것이다. 하나님께 감사를 하는 것이 아니라 불신앙과 원망을 일으켰다. 문제가 무엇인가. 먹는 것 때문이었다. 먹방 조심하기 바란다. 먹방만 생각하는 것이 대단히 위험하다. 먹는 것 중심, 육신 생각이 문제를 일으켰다. 창 6장을 보게되면 육신 중심으로 살다가 노아의 홍수라는 심판으로 멸망을 당했다. 홍해를 체험하고 어마어마한 축복을 확인했음에도 하나님께 기도하지 아니하고 욕망에 차서 불평 불만한다. 멸망을 당할 수 밖에 없는 이들에게 하나님께서는 다시 또 긍휼을 베풀어주셨다.
출 16:4 --내가 너희를 위하여 하늘에서 양식을 비 같이 내리리니--
하나님께서 양식을 주시면 풍성하게 주신다. 비 같이 내려주신다. 그들의 문제를 단번에 해결해주셨다. 그 해결 방법이 만나였다. 만나는 단순한 먹는 것에 대한 응답이 아니다. 하늘에서 양식을 내려주셨다. 하늘의 양식되는 그리스도를 보내주시겠다는 것이다. 너희들에게 생명의 양식, 그리스도를 보내주겠다고 약속하시는 내용이다.
3) 아론의 지팡이
세번째는 아론의 싹난 지팡이이다. 민 16장을 보게되면 아론의 사촌이 되는 고라라는 사람과 르우벤의 자손 다단이 무리를 지어서 도전을 했다. 모세와 아론이 대제사장이다 지도자다 해서 크게 부상이 되었다. 고라는 같은 형제끼리 누구는 제사장이고 누구는 리더이고 자기는 아무것도 아니게되니까 왜 너만 축복받느냐 하게 된 것이다. 르우벤은 열두 족속 중에 우리가 장자인데 왜 너네가 야단이냐 하면서 도전했다. 하나님께서는 크게 진노하신다. 그 주동자 250명을 불에 태워 죽이고 16장 49절 말씀을 보면 만 사천칠백 명을 염병으로 죽이셨다. 하나님께서 대단히 진노하셨다. 그 이유가 무엇인가. 시기와 질투이다. 내가 더 성공해야할텐데 나랑 형제인데 왜 저것만 올라가고 하면서 질투를 한 것이다. 창 11장에 나타나는 성공욕에 사로잡혀서 공격하는 것을 볼 수 있다. 여기서 하나님께서는 큰 재앙을 내리셨다. 그런데 하나님께서는 다 멸하지 않으시고 긍휼을 베푸셨다. 그 긍휼이 바로 살구꽃을 지팡이에서 피게하는 역사이다. 이 살구꽃은 그 의미가 깨어 지켜보고있다, 새 시대를 열겠다 하는 의미이다. 살구꽃의 의미가 영원한 대제사장된 그리스도를 너희에게 보낼 것이다 하고 약속하는 내용이다. 지성소에 있는 언약궤나 만나 항아리나 싹난 지팡이에는 하나님의 긍휼이 들어있는 것을 볼 수 있다. 문제가 생겼는데 그 문제의 답을 주셨는데 알고보니 전부다 그리스도에 대한 답이었다. 지성소를 한 마디로 성경에서 찾아본다면 요 6:40이라고 할 수 있다.
요 6:40 내 아버지의 뜻은 아들을 보고 믿는 자마다 영생을 얻는 이것이니 마지막 날에 내가 이를 다시 살리리라 하시니라
하나님의 뜻은 바로 그리스도를 보내서 너희들에게 영생을 얻도록 하겠다는 것이다. 내가 약속한 그리스도를 믿기만 하면 모두가 다 살게 되고 영생을 얻게 된다는 것이다. 그것이 지성소의 의미이다. 이것을 예수님께서 오셔서 실질적으로 성취하셨다.
2. 성자 하나님의 성취
1) 언약궤의 성취
언약궤를 통해서 성취하신 내용을 찾아볼 수 있다.
출 25:16 내가 네게 줄 증거판을 궤 속에 둘지며
언약궤를 증거판이라고 얘기하고 있다. 증거궤라는 단어는 언약궤라는 말보다 먼저 성경에서 나왔다. 무엇을 증거하는 것인가. 증거궤는 하나님의 임재하심과 왕의 통치와 성취를 증거하시는 것이다. 실질적으로 증거궤가 요단강을 지나갈 때 강 물이 끊어진다. 여리고에서도 증거궤가 돌 때 무너졌다. 증거궤가 블레셋 땅으로 들어갔다. 우상이 무너지고 저주를 받는 역사가 나타났다. 증거궤는 만왕의 왕되신 그리스도를 의미하는 것이다.
마 5:18 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 천지가 없어지기 전에는 율법의 일점 일획도 결코 없어지지 아니하고 다 이루리라
이 증거궤 속에 십계명이 들어있다고 말씀드렸다. 이 십계명은 그 누구도 제대로 시킬 수가 없었다. 그것 때문에 모든 인간들에게 저주가 왔다. 그런데 주님께서 십자가 상에서 이것을 다 이루셨다. 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가시면서 하나님의 공의와 인간들에 대한 사랑을 완성시키셨다. 하나도 빠지지 않고 완성시키셨다. 이 사실을 믿기만 하면 하나님의 자녀가 되는 축복을 받는다. 계 21:7-8에 이것이 마지막으로 성취된다.
계 21:7-8 이기는 자는 이것들을 상속으로 받으리라 나는 그의 하나님이 되고 그는 내 아들이 되리라 8 그러나 두려워하는 자들과 믿지 아니하는 자들과 흉악한 자들과 살인자들과 음행하는 자들과 점술가들과 우상 숭배자들과 거짓말하는 모든 자들은 불과 유황으로 타는 못에 던져지리니 이것이 둘째 사망이라
이 언약궤 속에 들어가있는 십계명은 영원한 것이다. 사느냐 죽느냐는 이것으로 결판난다. 주님께서 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가신 것도 이것을 이루시기 위함이었다. 이것을 이기는 자는 상속으로 받으리라고 하셨다. 믿는 자들은 상속자가 되고 내 아들이 될 것이라고 말씀하신 것이다. 믿기만 하면 되는 것이다. 그러나 이것을 믿지 아니하는 자는 계명 그대로 심판을 받는다. 믿지 않는 자들은 살인자, 음행하는 자, 점술가, 우상 숭배자, 거짓말하는 자 모두가 둘째 사망이라고 얘기한다. 최후에 언약이 성취되는 모습이다.
2) 만나 항아리의 성취
두번째로 만나 항아리가 성취된 것을 볼 수 있다. 주님께서 성취하신 것이다. 출애굽기에 보면 만나는 하루만 먹을 수 있다고 나온다. 저축을 해놓으면 썩어버렸다.
출 16:20 그들이 모세에게 순종하지 아니하고 더러는 아침까지 두었더니 벌레가 생기고 냄새가 난지라 모세가 그들에게 노하니라
그런데 중요한 것이 있다. 안식일 전날에는 두 배로 거둔다. 두 배로 거둔 그 날은 하루가 지나도 벌레도 먹지 않고 썩지 않았다. 왜 그런가. 뿐만 아니라 지성소에 들어있는 만나 항아리의 만나는 몇 년이 되도 괜찮다. 왜 그런가. 똑같은 만나라 하더라도 예배를 위한 만나는 영원하다. 예배를 위한 만나는 생명의 떡이 된다는 것이다. 생명의 떡이라는 것은 생명의 말씀을 의미한다. 정말 이것을 붙잡아야겠다. 이스라엘 백성들을 만나를 먹었지만 다 죽었다. 그러나 하나님의 말씀을 받는 자는 영원할 것이다.
요 6:51 나는 하늘에서 내려온 살아 있는 떡이니 사람이 이 떡을 먹으면 영생하리라 내가 줄 떡은 곧 세상의 생명을 위한 내 살이니라 하시니라
바로 이것이 주님의 말씀을 통해서 성취되는 것이다.
3) 아론 지팡이의 성취
또 아론의 지팡이를 통해서 성취하신 내용이 나온다. 아론의 지팡이는 생명이 전혀 없었다. 지팡이가 살아난다는 것은 있을 수가 없는 일이다. 인간들을 말한다. 창 2:17에 불순종하면 죽는다는 말씀이 성취된 것이다. 말씀대로 그대로 된 것이다. 그런데 이 생명 없는 막대기에서 싹이 났다. 생명이 생겼다는 것이다. 어떻게 생겼는가. 하나님이 하셨다. 어떻게 하셨는가. 은혜로 하셨다. 하나님께서 은혜를 베푸시면 죽은 자도 살아난다. 이것은 우리 구원의 방법을 나타낸다. 우리 노력에 의한 것이 아니라 하나님 은혜로 주어지는 것이다. 아론이 지팡이에만 싹이 났다. 하나님께서 아론을 세웠다는 것이다. 무엇 때문에 아론만 세우셨는가. 이 아론은 예수님의 모형이다. 내가 아론을 세운 것 처럼 예수를 세우겠다는 것이다. 마른 막대기에서 싹이 나고 열매를 맺은 것 처럼 그리스도가 오셔서 너희를 위해서 친히 죽으시고 부활하시는 열매를 맺을 것이라는 것이다. 아론의 막대기에 싹이 났다는 것은 우리도 그 축복을 가질 수 있다는 것이다. 주님께서 오셔서 지성소에 있는 세 가지를 백프로 완전하게 성취하셨다. 이 세가지가 해결됬다는 것은 어떤 문제도 해결될 수 있다는 것이다. 이 사역을 성령 하나님께서 지금 행하시고 계신다.
3. 성령 하나님의 성취
1) 문화 전쟁
우리가 문화 전쟁에 대해서 메세지를 받고 있다. 인기있는 가수들을 보고 노래를 듣다보면 감성적으로 부르는 사람들이 인기가 있는 것을 볼 수 있다. 감성적으로 부르는 사람들은 자기를 잊어버리고 가사에 심취해서 부른다. 노래에 따라 기분이 좋다가도 같이 눈물을 흘린다. 요즘 한국에 트로트 가수 중에 임영웅이라는 가수가 있다. 그 사람이 어느 60대 부부의 이야기라는 노래를 불렀다. 그런데 이 노래가 유투브 조회가 5억이 넘었다고 한다. 한국말을 알아듣는 한국 사람들 뿐 아니라 전혀 못 알아듣는 외국 사람들도 그것을 듣고 눈물을 흘린다는 것이다. 전혀 문화도 다른 트로트를 듣고 외국 사람들이 눈물을 흘리며 듣고 앉았다는 것이다. 도무지 이런 현상이 왜 생기는가. 음악 전문가들이 얘기하는 것을 들었다. 그 사람이 노래할 때는 그 분이 찾아와서 노래를 하기 때문이라는 것이다. 그 분이 그 사람에게 찾아왔다고 하면 그 분이 누구인가. 분명히 이것은 다른 어떤 영적 존재는 이야기한다. 내가 보기에 틀림없이 성령은 아닌 것 같다. 가수들 뿐 아니다. 연기하는 배우들도 마찬가지이다. 연기를 잘한다는 사람들은 보면 시나리오 대사하고 자기 삶과 연결시켜서 한다. 어떤 사람은 악역을 하는 모습을 보니까 완전히 귀신들린 사람처럼 보였다. 저는 그 사람 얼굴을 보면서 위험하다 하는 생각이 들었다. 그 대사가 그 사람의 마음과 생각에 자꾸만 각인되고 있는 것이다. 자기를 버리고 자꾸만 가사대로 뇌에 그대로 각인된다. 뇌라는 것은 굉장히 중요하다. 뇌에서 무엇을 받아들이냐에 따라서 모든 영향을 받게된다. 성령이 아닌 다른 영이 역사하는 것이 뇌에 들어가면 그것이 각인되기 시작한다. 그러면 뇌에 각인 뿐 아니라 영혼까지 각인된다. 영혼이 결정되는 것이다. 배우들이 자살하는 사람들이 있다. 많은 가수들이나 배우들이 하는 얘기를 들어보면 나는 귀신을 봤다 하고 얘기한다. 청소년들이 좋아하는 팝송이 있다. 자꾸만 듣다보면 그 가사가 마음과 생각 속에 각인된다. 그러면 뇌 속에 각인이 된다. 인격이 되버린다. 계속 빠지는 사람들 보면 하는 얘기가 노래 들을 때는 무언가가 나타난다고 한다. 견디지 못해서 자살하는 사람들도 있다. 마약 중독도 그렇고 도박 중독, 게임 중독도 마찬가지이다. 자기를 잊어버리는 것이다. 자기를 잊어버리는 순간에 영혼이 잡힌다. 명상도 마찬가지이다. 그러면 이런 문화적으로 들어오는 흑암의 권세를 어떻게 이길 수 있는가. 성경은 간단하게 이야기한다. 오늘 지성소에서 벌어진 것이 바로 그것이다. 그리스도만 붙잡으면 된다는 것이다.
고후 5:17 그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나 갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다
그리스도를 받아들이게 되면 그 날 부터 새로운 피조물이 된다. 우리가 이것은 분명히 누려야되고 전해야될 줄로 믿는다. 언약만 잡게되면 그 누구도 살릴 수 있다.
2) 치유 방법
오늘 말씀을 통해서 치유 방법을 다시 잡아야겠다. 수 3:4에 법궤에 대한 얘기가 나온다.
수 3:4 그러나 너희와 그 사이 거리가 이천 규빗쯤 되게 하고 그것에 가까이 하지는 말라 그리하면 너희가 행할 길을 알리니 너희가 이전에 이 길을 지나보지 못하였음이니라 하니라
요단강 문제의 해결 방법을 말씀해주신 것이다. 지금 요단강 물이 넘쳐서 막지 못한다고 해결하려고 하지 말고 언약 잡으면 해결된다는 것이다. 따라만 가면 인도하겠다는 것이다.
수 1:8 이 율법책을 네 입에서 떠나지 말게 하며 주야로 그것을 묵상하여 그 안에 기록된 대로 다 지켜 행하라 그리하면 네 길이 평탄하게 될 것이며 네가 형통하리라
치유의 길, 형통의 길은 무엇이냐. 말씀 잡고 기도하는 것이다. 그러면 하나님께서 우리를 인도하신다. 정말 이 축복 누리시기 바란다.
수 5:9 여호와께서 여호수아에게 이르시되 내가 오늘 애굽의 수치를 너희에게서 떠나가게 하였다 하셨으므로 그 곳 이름을 오늘까지 길갈이라 하느니라
치유 받을 수 있는 또 한가지 방법이다. 수치를 면하는 방법이다. 이스라엘 백성들이 요단강을 건너서 여리고 앞에 있었다. 그런데 어마어마한 여리고성 앞에서 할례를 행하라고 하셨다. 할례를 행하면 적군이 쳐들어오면 도저히 싸울 수 없는 상태이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이스라엘 백성들은 말씀을 지키고 할례를 행한다. 오직 그리스도만 붙잡은 것이다. 이들이 할례를 행할 동안 하나님께서는 지켜주신 것이다. 하나님께서는 그 믿음을 보시고 큰 축복을 주셨다. 그래서 하신 말씀이 내가 오늘 애굽의 수치를 너희에게서 떠나게 했다. 옛날의 모든 수치와 문제를 네 믿음을 보고 끝냈다는 것이다. 우리는 과거의 수치와 부끄러운게 있을 것이다. 회복하기 위해서 다른 방법을 연구하지 마시고 오직 그리스도만 붙잡으면 하나님께서 해결하실 줄로 믿는다.
결론
겔 37:10 이에 내가 그 명령대로 대언하였더니 생기가 그들에게 들어가매 그들이 곧 살아나서 일어나 서는데 극히 큰 군대더라
에스겔 골짜기에서 하신 말씀이다. 하나님 말씀이 선포될 때 뼈들이 붙기 시작했다. 또 말씀을 대언했더니 생기가 들어가서 강한 군대가 되었다. 저는 여러분 매일 기도할 때 이 기도를 한다. 저와 우리 모든 성도들이 복음을 증거할 때에 이런 증거의 역사가 나타나게 하옵소서. 우리가 가서 복음을 증거하는 곳마다 마른 뼈가 살아나는 역사가 나타나게될 줄로 믿는다. 죽은 자들이 살 뿐 아니라 생기가 들어가서 강한 군대가 일어날 줄로 믿는다. 축복받는 여러분 되시기 바란다.
