보좌에 나타나신 그리스도(히9:23-26)
서론
제가 칼럼을 하나 봤다. 미국 네바다 주에 멜빈 다마 라는 어떤 젊은이가 낡은 트럭을 몰고 가고있었다. 가다보니 허름한 노인 양반이 혼자서 서있었다. 차를 세워서 어디 가십니까 제가 태워다드리겠습니다 하고 얘기를 했다. 그 사람이 고맙습니다 내가 라스베가스까지 갑니다 태워주시겠습니까 했다. 라스베가스에 도착했다. 젊은 사람이 자기도 돈이 없지만 노인네가 너무 남루하고 불쌍해보여서 자기가 갖고있던 25센트를 주었다. 그 노인네가 25센트를 받으면서 참 친절한 친구라고 하면서 명함 한 장을 달라고 했다. 명함을 받아든 노인이 멜빈 다마라 하는 이름을 보고 멜빈씨 내가 이 신세를 꼭 갚겠다, 내 이름은 바로 하워드 휴즈라는 사람이네 하고 얘기했다. 그리고 세월이 한참 흘렀다. 그런데 신분에 대문작만하게 기사가 났다. 세계적인 재벌 하워드 휴즈 사망이라는 기사가 났다. 거기에 유언장이 공개되었다. 하워드 휴즈는 영화사, 방송국, 비행기 회사, 전투기도 만들었던 유명한 사람이다. 호텔도 많았도 도박장도 만들고 50개나되는 기업을 갖고있었다. 그런데 놀랍게도 그 유언장 속에 내 유산 16분의 1을 멜빈 다마에게 주라고 되어있었다. 멜빈 다마를 아는 사람이 아무도 없었다. 그런데 마침 유언장 뒤에 멜빈 다마의 주소가 있고 연락처가 있었다. 그 밑에 메모를 해놨는데 내 자신이 일생동안 만났던 가장 친절한 사람이라고 써놨다. 이 사람한테 받은 유산 금액을 보니까 1억 5천만 달러였다. 놀라운 금액이다. 25센트 주고 1억 5천만불을 받게된 것이다. 아마 그 사람이 누군지 몰라도 하나님을 많이 사랑했던 사람이 아닌가 한다. 성경에 이웃을 사랑하라니까 그렇게 했는지도 모르겠다. 이웃 사랑을 사실적으로 실천하는 것이 중요하다. 그런데 그보다 더 중요한 것을 발견해야겠다. 그 엄청난 재벌이 모든 것을 두고 세상을 떠났다는 사실이다. 그런데 그 사람이 숨질 때 한 이야기가 나타난다. Nothing, nothing하고 죽었다고 한다. 예수님을 영접하지 못한 것은 분명하다. 그 사람을 찾아보면 돈이 그렇게 많았는데 마지막 죽으면서 정신적인 고통을 대단히 많이 당했다고 나온다. 그래서 어둠 속에서 지냈는데 음식을 받을 때도 병균이 묻을까봐 작대기로 받아서 먹었다고 한다. 죽을 때 이 사람이 키가 2미터가 되는 사람인데 41키로 밖에 안되었다고 한다. 그 사람은 돈과 명예를 위해 살았다. 모든 것을 다 얻었던 사람이다. 그런데 갈 때는 아무것도 못들고 갔다. Nothing, nothing하면서 죽었다. 속고 살았다는 말이다. 저는 이것을 보면서 멜빈 다마라는 사람이 정말로 하나님을 알아서 차 타는 동안 복음을 전했다면 이 사람의 인생이 달라지지 않았을까 생각했다. 25센트를 주면서 그에게 큰 사랑을 느끼게 했지만 25센트보다 더 귀중한 복음, 영접 메세지를 전했다면 그는 영원한 생명을 얻었을 것이다. 우리는 그리스도를 정확하게 알아야한다. 우리는 우리 자신이 먼저 모든 것에서 해방을 받아야할 뿐 아니라 정확하게 그리스도를 알고 누려야겠다. 하나님께서는 그리스도를 정확히 알고 정확히 전달할 수 있는 사람을 귀중하게 여기신다. 그래서 사도바울은 죽음의 위기 가운데서 건져주시고 그를 사용하셨다. 오늘 말씀을 통해서 다시 한 번 그리스도를 발견하고 깨닫는 축복의 시간 되기를 예수 그리스도 이름으로 축원한다.
1. 참 장막되신 그리스도
1) 보좌로 가신 그리스도
히 9:23 그러므로 하늘에 있는 것들의 모형은 이런 것들로써 정결하게 할 필요가 있었으나 하늘에 있는 그것들은 이런 것들보다 더 좋은 제물로 할지니라
하나님께서 이스라엘 백성에게 주신 가장 큰 선물이 바로 성막, 성전이었다. 다른 어떤 민족도 받지 못했던 성막, 성전을 그들은 받았다. 성막, 성전은 하늘에 있는 성소의 모형이라고 이야기하고 있다. 이스라엘 백성들은 그곳에서 희생제사를 드리면서 정결함을 받는 축복을 누렸다. 그런데 이 히브리서를 쓴 사람은 하늘에 있는 이것들은 더 좋은 제물로 할지니라 하고 얘기하고 있다. 이 세상의 유대인은 그런 것으로 축복을 받았지만 하늘에는 더 값진 선물이 있다, 그 값진 선물이 무엇인가. 그리스도다.
히 9:24그리스도께서는 참 것의 그림자인 손으로 만든 성소에 들어가지 아니하시고 바로 그 하늘에 들어가사 이제 우리를 위하여 하나님 앞에 나타나시고
우리 예수님께서는 이 땅에서 인간의 죄를 해결하기 위해서 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가셨다. 구약에서 이스라엘 백성들이 지냈던 희생 제사처럼 똑같이 희생을 당하시고 돌아가셨는데 성소로 들어가지 않으시고 막바로 하늘로 가셨다. 십자가에서 피흘리신 몸을 갖고 성소로 들어가지 않으시고 하나님 앞에 직접 나타나셨다. 인간의 모든 죄를 해결하는 중보자로서 아버지 앞에 왔습니다 하고 보고를 드리는 것이다. 엄청난 사건을 행하신 것이다. 이것을 보더라도 하나님께서는 이스라엘 백성들만 구원하시는 것이 아니라 온 인류를 구원하시는 계획이 들어있던 것을 볼 수 있다.
2) 단번에 드리신 그리스도
구약의 제사장과 다른 점이 나온다.
히 9:25 대제사장이 해마다 다른 것의 피로써 성소에 들어가는 것 같이 자주 자기를 드리려고 아니하실지니
구약의 대제사장들은 해마다 대속죄일에 자기 자신, 가족, 이스라엘 백성들을 위해서 희생제사 제물을 갖고 성소에 찾아갔다. 대제사장도 자기 죄를 위해서 희생제물을 갖고있어야하는 존재였던 것이다. 그도 우리와 똑같은 아담의 후손이니까 매년 가서 죄를 용서 받아야하는 것이다. 그런데 예수님은 그럴 필요가 없는 것이다.
히 9:26 그리하면 그가 세상을 창조한 때부터 자주 고난을 받았어야 할 것이로되 이제 자기를 단번에 제물로 드려 죄를 없이 하시려고 세상 끝에 나타나셨느니라
그럴 필요가 없었던 이유가 그는 죄가 없으신 하나님이셨다는 것이다. 그 하나님이 직접 희생양이 되신 것이다. 하나님이 누구신가. 예수님이 누구신가. 시공을 초월하시는 분이다. 하나님은 이 세상 타임 속에 계신 분이 아니다. 창조부터 종말 때까지를 한 눈에 다 보고 계신다. 보고 계실 뿐 아니라 모든 것을 주관하시는 분이다. 그 하나님이 육신의 몸을 입고 이 땅에 오셔서 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가신 것이다. 우리를 구원시키려고 하신 것이다. 예수님의 십자가 사건은 이 세상 사건이 아니라 시공을 초월하는 속에 계신 사건인 것이다. 예수 그리스도의 십자가 사건이라는 것은 창조부터 심판까지 모든 시간에 적용되는 사건인 것이다. 예수님의 죽으심이라는 것은 모든 시대에 적용되는 것이다. 우리 모든 과거죄, 현재죄, 미래죄에 다 적용된다. 놀라운 사건이다. 예수님께서 우리 죄를 위해서 해결하셨다는 것은 단번에 모든 죄가 끝나는 것이다. 믿으시는가. 완전히 끝난 것이다. 죄를 과거에 졌든, 현재에 졌든, 미래에 졌든 전혀 상관이 없다. 이 모든 일을 완전히 끝내셨다. 이것이 너무나 중요한 사실이다. 한 번에 끝났다. 예수 그리스도를 영접하는 순간에 모든 것이 끝났다는 것을 잡는 것이 너무나 중요하다.
2. 성전의 비밀
1) 성막의 비밀
이것을 정확하게 알기 위해서 성막에 대해서 정확하게 알아야겠다. 하나님께서 하늘의 모형으로 성막을 지으셨다.
요 2:19예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 너희가 이 성전을 헐라 내가 사흘 동안에 일으키리라
요 2:21 그러나 예수는 성전된 자기 육체를 가리켜 말씀하신 것이라
이 성전을 헐라 내가 삼일만에 다시 일으켜 세우리라 하신 것은 예수님 몸을 이야기한다. 여기서 우리가 무엇을 잡을 수 있냐면 성막, 성전은 예수님의 몸을 상징하고 있다는 것이다. 지금 우리가 히브리서를 통해서 성전, 성막에 있는 많은 것을 검토해보았다. 한마디로 말씀드리면 성막에 있는 모든 것은 그리스도를 상징한다. 그리고 그 모든 것은 그리스도의 세가지 직분을 설명한다. 언약궤 속에 있는 세가지, 또는 성소에 있었던 떡상, 향로, 촛대는 전부다 그리스도의 삼직을 설명한다. 예수님께서 바로 이 성전이 나를 이야기하고 있다는 것이다. 이 성전되신 예수님께서 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가신 것이다. 그럼 구약에 성전을 통해서 나타나는 모든 예수님에 대한 계시가 끝난 것이다. 하늘의 모형시대가 끝났다는 것이다. 예루살렘 성전은 더이상 필요하지 않다는 것이다. 그러므로 하나님께서는 A.D. 20년에 로마를 통해서 성전을 무너뜨리셨다.
2) 교회의 비밀
여기서 교회의 비밀이 나타난다.
요 2:19 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 너희가 이 성전을 헐라 내가 사흘 동안에 일으키리라
내가 삼일 만에 부활하리라는 말씀이다. 그런데 중요한 말씀은 내가 사흘 동안에 일으키리라 하고 말씀하신 것이다. 내가 새로운 성전을 세우겠다는 것이다. 새로운 성전이 무엇인가. 주님의 몸된 교회를 나타낸다. 성전의 시대는 끝나고 교회의 시대가 온 것이다.
엡 1:23 교회는 그의 몸이니 만물 안에서 만물을 충만하게 하시는 이의 충만함이니라
제사를 드리는 성전 대신에 세우신 것이 예배를 드리는 교회를 세우셨다. 그런데 중요한 것은 마 16:18에 내가 내 교회를 세우리라고 말씀하셨다.
마 16:18 또 내가 네게 이르노니 너는 베드로라 내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니 음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라
어떻게 세우시는가. 이 반석 위에 세우겠다고 하셨다. 반석이 무엇인가. 바로 주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다 고백 위에 세우겠다는 것이다. 다시 말씀드리면 주는 그리스도시요 하나님의 아들이십니다 고백하는 자가 교회가 되는 것이다. 예수님은 교회를 세우셨다. 그리고 예수님께서 또한 우리를 통해서 교회를 세우게 하신다. 우리를 지체로 세우시는 것이다. 교회 구성원으로 세우시는 것이다. 교회 안에서 지체로서 활동할 수 있도록 교회 구성을 세우시는 것이다. 주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이십니다 하고 고백하면 주의 영이 임한다. 엄청난 역사가 나타나는 것이다. 주와 우리가 한 몸이 되는 것이다. 성령으로 하나가 되는 것이다. 주님께서 세우신 교회의 지체로서 성령으로 하나가 되는 것이다. 어마어마한 역사가 나타난다. 우리는 비록 별볼일 없는 것 처럼 보이지만 하나님께서 보시기에는 전혀 그렇지 않다. 너무나 귀한 것이다. 십자가를 통해서 돌아가시고 부활하심을 통해서 교회를 세우시고 그것을 믿는 자는 성령을 통해서 하나가 되는 역사가 일어난다. 그렇기 때문에 우리가 성도의 비밀을 꼭 잡아야겠다.
3. 성도의 비밀
1) 성도의 정체성
우리 교회의 구성원되는 교회의 비밀을 깨닫게 될 때 우리는 어마어마한 축복을 누릴 수 있다. 요 3:3에 니고데모와 대화하신 내용을 볼 수 있다.
요 3:3 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 진실로 진실로 네게 이르노니 사람이 거듭나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라를 볼 수 없느니라
구원받은 자는 거듭나다는 것을 의미한다. Born again, 거듭나다는 것은 다시 태어난다는 것이다. 다시 태어나는 것은 완전히 죽어야만이 다시 태어나는 것이다. 죽어야 완전히 새 것으로 태어난다. 여러분은 이미 새 것이다. 믿으시는가. 어떻게 하면 새로 태어나는가.
요 3:5 예수께서 대답하시되 진실로 진실로 네게 이르노니 사람이 물과 성령으로 나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라에 들어갈 수 없느니라
사람이 물과 성령으로 다시 거듭나면 하나님 나라에 들어갈 수 있다고 나온다. 물이 무엇인가. 물을 말씀으로 해석하기도 한다. 엘 47장 말씀에 성전에서 흘러나오는 물이다. 성전에서 흘러나오는 말씀을 통해서 거듭난다는 말이다. 또 어떻게 해석하느냐면 세례가 물이라고 이야기한다. 세례라는 것은 내 삶의 주인을 바꾸는 것이다. 회개하는 것이다. 지금까지 세상적으로 살았습니다만 이제는 이제 주님 중심으로 살겠습니다 하고 세례를 받는 것이다. 결국 이것도 말씀을 깨달아서 세례를 받게 되는 것이다. 말씀을 통해서 예수님을 영접하는 순간에 성령이 임한다. 말씀을 통해서 예수께서 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가신 그리스도라는 사실을 믿게되면 성령이 임함으로서 거듭나는 놀라운 중생의 역사가 나타난다.
요 6:54 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 자는 영생을 가졌고 마지막 날에 내가 그를 다시 살리리니
믿는다는 것을 이야기하는데 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 것이 영생을 얻는 길이라고 나오고 있다. 믿는 자가 어떤 것이라는 내용이 나온다. 믿는 자는 예수님의 살을 먹고 피를 마시는 자라고 나온다. 예수님 십자가를 믿는다는 것은 예수님 피를 마시는 것이다. 문자적으로 본다면 피를 마신다는 것은 생명을 나눈다는 것이다. 예수님 피와 내 피가 하나가 되는 것이다. 다시 태어난 중생받은 우리가 옛날 피가 아니라 새 피를 공급받았다는 것이다. 여러분들의 피 속에는 예수님 피가 흐르고있는 것을 믿으시기 바란다. 자부심을 가져야하는 것이다. 내 피에는 하나님 피가 흐르고 있다. 내 피에 하나님 피가 흐르는 순간에 모든 죄악의 피는 싹다 없어지는 것이다. 하나님 형상을 갖고 살아가기 시작하는 것이다.
엡 2:6 또 함께 일으키사 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 하늘에 앉히시니
저는 이 말씀을 읽을 때 마다 감격스럽다. 예수님께서 하나님 피를 허락해주셨을 뿐 아니라 이제 한 몸이 되니까 보좌에 함께 앉은 것이다. 주님께서 누리신 모든 보좌의 왕권이 나에게 임한 것이다. 그러므로 여러분들이 가는 곳마다 흑암이 무너지지 않을 수 없다. 시간이 있으시면 무당집에 가보시기 바란다. 믿지 않는 사람들은 무당집에 가면 벌벌 떤다. 그런데 여러분들이 가면 그 사람들이 벌벌 떤다. 그 사람들이 갑자기 답답하다면서 가슴을 치고 왜 이런지 모르겠다고 한다. 왜 그런가. 보좌의 왕권이 여러분들에게 있기 때문이다. 여러분들은 모르고 지낸다. 여러분들이 걸어가면 그냥 걸어가는게 아니라 왕권의 갖고 걸어가는 것이다. 믿음을 갖고가게되면 누가 와서 때리는 일이 있을 수가 없다. 딱 보면 피하게 되어있다. 누리시기 바란다. 이상한 사람 보면 눈을 한 번 쳐다보시라. 그냥 갈 것이다. 우리는 성도로서의 누림을 가져야겠다.
2) 성도의 누림
롬 14:17 하나님의 나라는 먹는 것과 마시는 것이 아니요 오직 성령 안에 있는 의와 평강과 희락이라
하나님 자녀 맞으시는가. 확신하시는가. 이 세가지를 누리시기 바란다. 의인의 삶을 누리시기 바란다. 나는 의인이야, 하나님 자녀야 하는 것에 확신을 가지시기 바란다. 하나님의 자녀는 평강의 삶을 살게되어있다. 괜히 화내고 성질내고 고민할 필요가 없다. 편안히 사시기 바란다. 몸이 힘든 사람이 있는가. 영적으로 고통받는 사람이 있는가. 평강을 누리시기 바란다. 이미 평강의 능력이 평강의 영이 여러분에게 임했다. 또 희락이라고 얘기하고 있다. 기쁨의 생활을 하시기 바란다. 늘 주의 영이 함께하신다. 주의 능력이 여러분을 통해 나타날 것이다. 완전히 누리시는 여러분 되시기 바란다. 조금도 돈 걱정, 질병 걱정 일체 버리시기 바란다. 믿음의 장부가 되시기 바란다.
갈 2:20 내가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못 박혔나니 그런즉 이제는 내가 사는것이 아니요 오직 내 안에 그리스도께서 사시는 것이라 이제 내가 육체 가운데 사는 것은 나를 사랑하사 나를 위하여 자기 자신을 버리신 하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음 안에서 사는 것이라
우울증 걸리고 혹시 공황증에 고통받는 사람이 있는가. 이 언약 잡으면 끝난다. 나는 그리스도와 함께 죽었다. 나의 모든 운명, 사주, 팔자는 십자가에 못박혀 죽었다. 가문의 모든 저주는 십자가에 못박혀 죽었다. 나를 잡고 있던 흑암의 권세는 다 끝났다. 이 언약을 잡으시라. 내 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못박혀 죽었다. 자꾸 기억하지 마시라. 끝났다. 완전히 끝난 것이다. 다시 자꾸만 힘들다니 어둠 속을 찾아가지 마시기 바란다. 나를 위하여 자기 자신을 버리신 하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음 안에서 사는 것이라. 나는 이 말씀을 생각할 때마다 얼마나 감사한지 모른다. 운명, 사주, 팔자, 가문의 문제 다 끝났지. 믿는 순간에 십자가에 다 박아버린 것이다. 나는 새로 태어난 사람이다. 주께서 함께하신다. 우리는 보좌에 앉은 신분이다. 우리가 해야할 것은 롬 12:1이다.
롬 12:1 그러므로 형제들아 내가 하나님의 모든 자비하심으로 너희를 권하노니 너희 몸을 하나님이 기뻐하시는 거룩한 산 제물로 드리라 이는 너희가 드릴 영적 예배니라
자꾸만 내 계산, 내 생각 하지말고 다 주님 앞에 맡겨버리시기 바란다. 산 제물로 드리시기 바란다. 드리는게 무엇인가. 믿음으로 사는 것이다. 말씀 붙잡고 사는 것이다. 모든 것을 하나님께 맡겨버리고 말씀따라 사는 것이다. 날마다 고백하시라. 하나님 저를 받아주세요. 저를 사용해주세요. 주님 만나는 그 날까지 영광돌리기 원합니다. 나를 마음껏 사용해주세요. 이것이 영적 예배이다. 응답받는 여러분 되시기 바란다. 하나님이 그럴 때 여러분을 사용하실 줄로 믿는다.
결론
우리는 주님께서 주신 사명을 생명을 다해서 받들어야할 줄로 믿는다. 그럴 때 하나님께서 우리를 받아주실 것이다.
삼상 2:30 --나를 존중히 여기는 자를 내가 존중히 여기고 나를 멸시하는 자를 내가 경멸하리라
나는 오직 주님만을 바라봅니다, 주님께서 저를 인도해주세요 하면 주님께서 정말로 그렇게 응답해주실 줄로 믿는다. 내 생명까지도, 장래까지도 모든 것을 맡깁니다. 나는 힘도 없고 능력도 없고 지혜도 없습니다 저를 불쌍히 여기고 저를 인도해주세요. 틀림없이 하나님께서는 하나님의 지혜와 능력으로 여러분들을 지켜주실 줄로 믿는다. 여러분들이 주님을 최고로 존중히 여기면 하나님께서 여러분을 최고로 존중히 여기실 줄로 믿는다. 응답받는 여러분 되시기 바란다.
Christ Who Appeared at the Throne (Hebrews 9:23-26)

“23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another— 26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.”
Introduction
I read a news article and there was a young man living in America who ended up passing away at a young age. There was an old man who was standing by himself in the desert of Nevada and the young man stopped the old man and offered a ride to take the old man to his destination. The old man replied that he was on his way to Las Vegas and they arrived in Las Vegas, this young man didn’t have much money himself but he had pity for this old man so he gave 25 cents to take and when the old man took the 25 cents, he was so thankful and asked the old man to give his business card to him. When the old man who received the young man’s business card, the old man said that he will repay him back. The old man said that his name was Howard Hughes. Time passed by and a huge event appeared in the news, the news article that the billionaire, Howard Hughes passed away. When Hughes passed away, he left a will. As you know Howard Hughes was a billionaire and extremely famous for producing movies and setting up many different enterprises such as casinos and hotels. What is astounding was that within his will, he wrote for 16th part of his inheritance to go to the young man. The lawyers were wondering who this man was, when they looked behind the will, there was an address and contact information form the young man’s business card. Howard Hughes also wrote that his eying man was the kindest man that he ever met and he left behind $156 million. This is a lot of money. This young man just gave 25 cents but Howard Hughes in return gave him $156 million. I am not sure who this man was but I think Howard ws someone how loved God very much. I am not sure what kind of faith that he had but it is so important that we carry out the act of loving your neighbor. There is something important here. A great billionaire, he left everything behind in this world and left this world. When you look at what Howard said in his last, he said, “Nothing, nothing, and everything is nothing.” I am sure that he died without accepting Christ and without knowing who God is. When you look up Howard’s life, he suffered from many mental afflictions until his death even though he lived a very wealthy life. He lived a life in darkness and he lived in a high building, he had suffered from severe OCD that whenever he received his food, he would grab his food with a long stick. When he died, he died weighing only 82 pounds for a 6 feet man. He lived for money and he had everything that he wanted but in the end, he wasn’t able to leave with nothing. That is why when he died, he said nothing. What does it mean by nothing? He lived in this world deceived. He realized that he lived in this world being deceived and everything was a lie. If this young man really knew who God was, he could’ve shared the gospel to Howard in the car ride and Howard might have lived a different life. The young man gave 25 cents out of pity and for a love for a neighbor but instead of giving him money, if he gave him the gospel then maybe his life might have changed. We must accurately know Christ. Not only do we need to receive freedom within our lives but we need to enjoy Christ so that we can share the gospel wherever we go. Who does God think of most preciously? He sees preciously to those who really know Him and able to testify of Him. That is why I spoke about this last time, even in the face of death, God allowed Paul to be protected from death. Through this message, ma you discover and realize Christ once again. Today is another precious and important message.
1. Christ the True Tabernacle
1) Christ who went to the throne
Verses 23 - The greatest gift that God gave to the Israelites was the tabernacle. They received the greatest gift during that time, which was the tabernacle. The tabernacle was a model of the heavenly sanctuary. In the tabernacle they would perform blood sacrifices and allow great blessings to be bestowed to them. The person who wrote the book of Hebrews, he wrote, “Better sacrifices than these.” The Israelites received a great gift but there is a greater gift in heaven, it was Jesus Christ.
Verse 24 - Our Christ, in order to solve our sins, He died on the cross. Just like the Israelites who performed the blood sacrifice, Jesus Christ also died as the ultimate sacrifice on the cross. Instead of entering into the most Holy Place, Jesus Christ went to heaven. He died on the cross but not only did He enter the most holy place but He went to heaven and stood before God. What is this? He was showing that He is the True Christ who shed His blood and solved the problems and sins of mankind. He was showing that before God. This was a great event. Not only did God save the Israelites but it was part of God’s plan to save all mankind.
2) Christ Who Offered Himself Once
Verse 25 - The priests in the Old Testament, for themselves and people around them, they had to visit the holy place to receive cleansing of their sins. This means the high priest had to receive cleansing of their sins and also had to perform blood sacrifices as well. He was also from the same bloodline from Adam and Eve so he had to go receive cleansing of their sins every year. But this was not the case for Jesus Christ.
Verse 26 - This is a very important message. The reason why this was because Jesus Christ was sinless and He was God. This God, He came sa the ultimate sacrifice. Who is God? Who is Jesus? Jesus is the one transcends time and space. He is not someone who remains in time or is controlled by time and space. He is the one who transcends time and space from the start to end of earth and the world. He is the one who controls everything. This God came to this world in human flesh and died on the cross for our sins. When he died on the cross, he did that so that he could forgive us of our sins own and for all. This was not just an event in the Bible but it was the biggest and greatest event to ever take place. This is because it was a spiritual event that transcended time and space. The event of the cross was the event that transcended time and space. The death of Jesus would be applicable for everyone and solved everyone’s sins. This means that Jesus’ death affects our sins of our past, spent, and future. This is an astounding event. The fact that He finished our sins once and for all, this means that he finished everything. Do you believe in this? Jesus has finished everything. This means that our past, present, and future doesn’t matter. Our sins have been finished once and for all. This is an important fact. That is why it is so imprint for us to hold onto that once we accept christ, we are eternally saved. In order for us to realistically know Christ, we must look at the tabernacle one again.
2. The Mystery of the Temple
1) The mystery of the Tabernacle
John 2:19, 21 (“Jesus answered and said to them, 'Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.' 21 But He was speaking of the temple of His body.”) - What does this tabernacle and temple mean? It is meaning the body of Christ. Through the book of Hebrews, we were able to learn a lot through the tabernacle and temple. In other words, all of the things referring to the tabernacle were referring to Christ. And it was also referring to the three roles of Christ. The covenant of the three parts, the three items of the tabernacle (the lampstand, the bread table, and incense altar) were all referring to and representing the three roles of Christ. Jesus was saying that the temple was referring to Him. This Christ who was the temple of God came to the world and died on the cross. Then all of the duties and works that took place in the temple were all over. This means that the revelations regarding Jesus Christ in the Old Testament were completed. The temple of Jerusalem was no longer ended. That is why Jesus Christ completely destroyed the temple in AD 20. There is something that we must hold onto here. We need to hold onto the mystery of the church.
2) The mystery of the church
John 2:19 - this means that Jesus Christ will resurrect in 3 days. Jesus said that He will raise it up in 3 days. Jesus is saying that he will raise up a new temple. What is the new temple? This is referring to the body of Christ. The age of the temple is over and the age of the body of Christ has started.
That is why it says in Ephesians 1:23 (“Which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.") - Instead of the temple and performing blood sacrifices, Jesus has raised up the church where we give worship to Jesus.
What is important is what is written in Matthew 16:18, 16 (“Simon Peter answered and said, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”) - How will Jesus raise up the church? Jesus said that He will raise up the church upon this rock. What was the rock referring to? It was referring to the confession of Matthew 16:16, that Jesus is the Christ. In other words, confessing that Jesus is the Christ, the ones who makes this confession, they are the church. Jesus has raised up the church and raised up the church through His people. He raised up directly with us as His people. He has been raised up as a church. What happens when we confess of Christ, the Spirit of God enters inside of us and tremendous works will take place. Also, we become one body with God and the h.s. This is a tremendous event. This may not seem like a big deal but this is not the case for Jesus. We are seen as so precious before God. Jesus died on the cross, resurrected, and raised up the church. He raised up the church and great works took place through this establishment. We need to hold onto the mystery for a believer.
3. The Mystery of the Believer
1) The identity of the believer
When we discover the mystery of church then you will receive tremendous things.
John 3:3, 5 (“Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.' 5 Jesus answered, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.' ”) - This was Nicodemus and Jesus’ conversation. In other words, those who are saved, are the ones who are born again. Born again means that you've been given new life and born again. Born again means that you have to die first in order to born again. You had to become a new creation and a new being when you are born again. You are a new creation. How then can you be born again?
The method is shared in John 3:5 - When you are born of water and spirit, you can enter heaven. Water is referring to the word of God. Ezekiel 47 - This is the water that was flowing from the temple, the water was flowing with the word of God from the temple. It can also be interpreted as baptism with the water just like Leo was baptized earlier today. Baptism is changing your life and changing the master of your life. You are repenting before God and you are asking God to become the master of your life. This is also something we realize through the word of God. Through the word of God, when we accept Christ, then the Spirit of God enters inside of us. Through the word of God, Jesus Christ has died and resurrected, when we believe in this then the Holy Spirit will enter inside of us and great works will take place.
John 6:54 (“Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”) - There is another meaning of water. Believing in God means that you eat of God’s flesh and drink His blood. If you look at this message, then you can see what a believer is. A believer is one who eats God's flesh and drinks His blood. Believing in the cross means that you are drinking Jesus' blood. What does it mean to drink Jesus’ blood, it is referring to life. The blood of Jesus becomes one with your blood. You are born again and we are no longer have our old blood but we have new blood, we possess the blood Jesus. Inside of our blood, the blood of Jesus flows within us, we have to believe in us. This is our identity. Within our blood, Jesus’ blood is flowing within it. The moment Jesus’ blood flows within our blood, then all disasters and sins have been completely solved.
Ephesians 2:6 (“And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”) - whenever I read this scripture, I am so moved. Jesus has granted us God’s blood and allowed us to become one body, and we are able to sit on the throne of God. We have been granted all of the authority and power of heaven. Then, wherever we go, darkness has no choice but to be broken down. Whenever you have time, visit a shaman or a fortune teller. If those who are not saved, you will tremble with fear in front of the shamans but if you go before a shaman, then they will tremble before you. They will say that they cannot breathe properly. Why is that? It is because you possess the throne of God. The problem is that you live your life not knowing the great authority that you possess. You are walking in this world with great authority and power of heaven. If we go with this authority and power, then even if people tries to attack you, then God will not stand still. Darkness has no choice but to avoid you wherever you go.
2) The enjoyment of the believer
Romans 14:17 (“For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”) - Are you a child of God? Are you assured of this? Enjoy these three things. Enjoy your life as a righteous being. Have assurance that you are righteous. A child of God will live a peaceful life and of course, you may become angry and fearful but there is no need for those emotions. Live in peace. Do you have a physical disease or spiritually suffering? Enjoy peace. You have already been given the blessing of peace as a child of God. Find joy and be joyful because God is always with you. God’s power is always with you. Truly enjoy this. You may have minor worries and fears but there is no need for any of that. May you become a warrior of faith.
Galatians 2:20 (“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”) - always hold onto this. If you suffer from depression and fear, hold onto this covenant and it will be over. You longer exit in Christ. Your old self has completely died in christ. All of the problems and curses within your family line have been completely finished. All of the life that has been controlled by Satan, this is completely over. Hold onto the covenant. You have died with Christ on the cross. Stop remembering your past. It is finished. You are living in faith in Jesus Christ who died for you. Whenever I think about Galatians 2:20, I am always so thankful. Oh right, it is finished. Everything is finished. The moment you believe, then everything is finished on the cross. You are born again, a new creation. Then this is it. God is with you. You are within the throne of God.
What we must do is Romans 12:1 (“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”) - Don’t think about anything else or have any of your own thoughts but just trust in God. Entrust your entire life to God. This means that you are living in faith and hold onto the word of God. You are following God’s word and having faith in God’s word. Always confess this. I always confess this, “God please accept and receive me, and use me. Use me to give you glory until the last days of my life.” This is spiritual worship. When you do this, then God will use you.
Conclusion
We need to stake our lives for God’s mission. When we do this then God will accept and receive us. Hold onto 1 Samuel 2:30 (“Therefore the Lord God of Israel says: ‘I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the Lord says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.' ”) - I will look up to only God so God please guide me. When you do this, then God will answer you accordingly. When you stake and entrust your life and everything to God, and ask God to have mercy and pity on you since you are so weak and have nothing then through God’s wisdom and power, He will protect. When you make God the best and most important within your life then God will honor you as the most precious and honor. May you become the people who receive answers. May you take the time again to place your hands on your weaknesses again and enter into prayer.
