The High Priest at the Right Hand of the Throne (Hebrews 8:1-2)

“Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.”
Introduction
This year has come to an end and I have many things to be thankful for. What I am thankful for is that our church was able to finish our church reconstruction well. I am thankful that we were able to meet a good agent and an elder who was able to help construct a clean church. God has thought about our financial situation and we were able to finish our construction well through the help of our insurance. Through the construction, our elders of our church were able to invest much time to help. Even despite the coronavirus and their stores not doing so well because of the pandemic, they were able to invest their time to help with the church construction. What I know is that our elders are like role models and well known to be role models throughout the general assembly in America. Right now, their health isn’t the best and because of our elder’s coughing, my heart did not feel good for him. But after our church sermon was over and I was having a forum with the deacon Ha and senior deaconess Ha, my heart ached too because our senior deaconess’ health is also not in the best condition as well. When I looked at them, I prayed to God and He made me think of a message. It was the message of Mark 10:45 (“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”) - As I thought about them and prayed, this was the message I thought about. In my heart, I realized that until now I have lived a life of only being served but not serving others. When I thought about this, I realized that the life that I lived before God was a life that was completely different from the life that Jesus Christ lived. When I prayed before God, I prayed the prayer that I will devote my life to serving my church members and remnants instead of wanting to be served. I made this resolution that I will put my entire heart to pray for my church members and remnants. As I continued to pray, the answer that I received and I consider as the greatest answer of all answers is this. Whenever I pray, I have such a happy heart. I think God has given us an important message today.
1. The Main Point of the Gospel
1) Our high priest
Verse 1 - This has such an important meaning here. The main point of today’s scripture and the main theme of the gospel is that there is a High Priest among us. What does it mean by the High Priest who is with us? The main theme of Hebrews 8:1-7 is explaining this content. There are three ways to interpret these verses. The High Priest among us is not the priests who were in the family lines of the Levites but He was personally anointed by God from Melchizedek. But this Priest, Jesus Christ, is different from the other priests; He is pure and without any fault or sin. He has no sin, is pure, died for our sins, has completely solved us our original sin and from the law, and resurrected after His death. He solved our problems once for all and completely, and this High Priest is with us. He is realistically alive even now. Not only was Jesus alive when the book of Hebrews was written but Jesus is still alive and with us even now. What is this alive Christ doing now? He is sitting at the right hand of the throne of God.
2) He sits at the right hand of the throne
Jesus Christ the High Priest is sitting at the right hand of the throne of God. The priests in the Old Testament, when they entered into the tabernacle, they couldn’t
sit down when giving blood sacrifices. In the tabernacle, they were no chairs because they had to continuously give blood sacrifices so they didn’t have the time to sit down. But what about the High Priest written about here? It is written that He is sitting at the right hand of the throne of God. The fact that He is sitting down means that He has completed and finished everything, and is in a relaxed and comfortable place and position. The fact that He is siting down means that He is the True King. Jesus Christ who is the True Priest is sitting down which means that He is the True Priest and the True King. Jesus Christ who is sitting at the right hand of God has great authority and power. He is the True Priest who finished all of our sins and problems. Whenever we pray in God’s name, Jesus Christ answers us.
John 14:14 (“If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”) - When we hold onto the word and pray, then it will absolutely be answered accordingly. This is because these were the words spoken by the True King. Truly hold onto this. When you pray in the name of Jesus Christ who is the True King, then tremendous answers will come to us. Whatever disease, problems, or darkness is at work, if we pray in the name of Jesus Christ who is the True King, then answers will absolutely come no matter what. Do you truly believe in this? When we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, darkness has no choice but to tremble and flee. When we pray in the name of Jesus Christ and hold onto the word of God, then darkness flees. Truly enjoy this blessing. We possess tremendous things.
2. God's True Sanctuary
1) The Lord of the Holy Place
Verse 2 - The True King and Priest is a minister of the sanctuary and tabernacle, and is serving the church. Jesus Christ is serving, what does this mean? He is the True King but what else does He do? Why does He need to serve?
The reason is written in Romans 8:34 (“Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.”) - He is sitting at the right hand of God and has received everything from God, the Father but it says that He is interceding for us. While sitting at the almighty and tremendous throne of God, what is He doing? He is interceding for our sins and problems before God and praying for us to God, the Father. In these are the words written here, Jesus is sitting at the tabernacle and we can see that He is endlessly praying for us at the tabernacle to have the tabernacle and temple of God to be raised up.
What He is doing is written in Ephesians 2:20-22, 1:22 (“Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. 1:22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church.”) - Jesus Christ died on the cross and all of the prophets and apostles of the Old and New Testaments, they were being raised up in the tabernacle. He is building this building and continuing to intercede to God as He is building this tabernacle.
1 Corinthians 3:16 (“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”)- The moment we accept Christ, the Holy Spirit comes inside of us and the light shines in us, and we become a temple of God.
Ephesians 2:22 - We have become one temple with God, this is a tremendous blessing.
Ephesians 1:22 - Not only did we become a temple of God but it is also talking about our body. Jesus Christ is the head and the body is being formed and built. In order to accomplish this, He is continuing to pray for this. We are so precious to God that we have become part of the body of Christ, we should be so thankful. There is not one part of the body that is not important and all parts are important. To Jesus, we are also so important to Him. God is always watching you with His flaming eyes. Not only that but Jesus is continuing to pray for you so that you can always return to God and be saved. Jesus Christ who resurrected, we need to look at His ministry.
2) The ministry of Christ
When Jesus Christ came to Earth, what He did is explained in Mark 1:38 (“But He said to them, 'Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.' ”) - The reason why Jesus Christ came was to evangelize. The reason was because there were great and tremendous blessings of the throne of God and a temple that needed to be built. He needed to complete building His body. Jesus Christ who resurrected, what is He doing now?
We can see what He is doing through what Apostle Paul wrote in Acts 26:16 (“But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you.”) - Jesus Christ resurrected and met Paul, and the words that He said were written here. It was written that He prepared Paul to make him a minister. Jesus Christ who is in heaven, His entire focus continues to be towards the life saving movement.
Hebrews 7:24-25 (“But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”) - Jesus Chirst who is the True Priest continues to intercede for us and intercedes so that we can help the nonbelievers receive forgiveness.
For us as believers, we can see what Jesu Christ is doing for us as seen in Matthew 28:18 (“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”) - When we hold onto this word, there is nothing for you to worry or fear. The reason is because of the temple and Jesus’ body, we are one body with Jesus. It says that all authority of heaven and earth has been given to Jesus and this Jesus is with us so we can go out to the world with this authority. Hold onto this word well.
If that is so, we need to find the mystery of the complete answer and we can find this mystery. We can find this mystery by finding out what God wants from us. God waits for us to receive answers from prayers that we absolutely need to receive answers from. If we pray the prayer that is within God’s plan, then we will receive answers. If we find what God wants, then we will receive answers. Why did God use the Early Church? He used them so that He can do world evangelism through them. Many great problems and persecutions arose for the Early Church but God answered each and every one of their problems. Everything was aligned for world evangelism. Each problem that they faced, how did God solve them? He solved the problem of each and every church member of the Early Church so that they could do world evangelism. There is not one single person who does not have problems. Even the Jews and people were in the midst of problems and spiritual problems. Non-believers are filled with spiritual and mental problems. But through the word of God, God solved their problems and established the church. The things that are diverting our walk of faith, we need to solve our 12 fundamental problems of the state of nonbelievers and enter into prayer. How can we solve our problems? We need to pray with the question that Jesus gave us.
3. The Mystery of the Complete Answer
1) The rightful answer (for the individual)
We need to hold onto Simon Peter’s answer to the question that Jesus asked in Matthew 16:15 (“He said to them, 'But who do you say that I am?' ”). The answer of all answers starts here. When Jesus Christ becomes your Christ, then God will give you three answers.
Matthew 16:16-20 (“Simon Peter answered and said, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' 17 Jesus answered and said to him, 'Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.' 20 Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.”) - The first is to build the church and the temple. The second is that the Gates of Hades will be overcome. And lastly, the keys of heaven and Earth will be given to you. These are the blessings you have received. This is what God wants from you. May you receive this blessing. Enjoy these blessings.
2) The inevitable answer (for the field)
Secondly there is something that we must inevitably do in the field. What we must do in the field is seen in Acts 1:8 (“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”) - We need to hold onto this covenant. Whoever holds onto this covenant, the blessing of Acts 2 will come to them.
Acts 2:1-4 , 41, 46-47 (“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”) - Truly hold onto this. When you hold onto Acts 1:8, the answer that will absolutely come is the Holy Spirit as seen in Acts 2. Why is this needed? God is saying that this is needed. In order to save the field, without the power of the Holy Spirit, it is impossible to save our field. This was what the Early Church held onto this and because of that, they were able to receive answers.
The answer of 3,000 disciples being raised is seen in Acts 2:41. Every single day, they continued to do this. They continued to hold onto the word of God and pray daily and as a result, great evidence and answers arose. May you enjoy these blessings.
3) The absolute answer (for the age)
For this age, we need to pray for what is the absolute answer.
Acts 16:7-10, 14 (“After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. 8 So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, 'Come over to Macedonia and help us.' 10 Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them. 14 Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul.”) - When they tried to go to Bithynia, the doors to go there were blocked. Paul prayed about this but at that moment, someone appeared in his dream who pleaded for Paul to come to Macedonia. Paul realized that this was where God wanted him to go. These were the doors that were opened to Paul. Paul realized what God wanted. When we discover what God wants, then He will give us the absolute answer for this age. To God, Rome evangelism was important so He opened the doors for this. What did Paul do?
He went to Macedonia and Philippi and he had no idea what to do but in Acts 16:14, when he evangelized and shared the gospel to Macedonia, he met Lydia who opened her heart. She opened her heart and accepted the gospel. This is the work of God. What kind of event was this? This was the work that allowed the church of Philippi to be opened and established. This was the first church that was established in Europe. In order to do world evangelism, God allowed this blessing of meeting to arise. If that is so, if we hold onto what God wants for us to do for this age, then God will absolutely open the necessary doors. Why and how did Paul receive so many answers? He held onto this. Paul held onto the vision to do Rome evangelism. He said that he must go to Rome. That is why God gave tremendous answers to Paul. It is so easy for us to receive answers. If we pray the prayers according to God’s plans then God will pour down answers to us. This is because this is what God needs and wants. This is how you can be used by God. Wherever Paul went, great works of power and life saving movement arose. May you open your new eyes. May you receive answers.
Conclusion
Until now, what have we spoken about? God’s entire focus is towards the life saving movement and raising up the church, and this is God’s main focus. Spiritually speaking and seeing, in order to raise up the temple of heaven, this is the entire focus we need to see. If we have no interest towards world evangelism, then all the blessings that have been given to you until now, none of that matters. These blessings and answers were being given to you so that we can do world evangelism. All events, evidence, and miracles arose when evangelism took place. All of them arose during the process towards world evangelism. While you are attending church, if you say that you have no interest towards world evangelism then you are saying that you don’t want to receive God’s blessings. If we continue our walk of faith like this, then we cannot face and see any blessings and answers in our lives. Spiritually speaking, it is basically the fire and light of the Holy Spirit inside of us being burnt out. That is why this is so important for us to understand this. The fact that we are holding onto the covenant is a tremendous blessing and miracle. Apostle Paul said in 1 Peter 2:9 (“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”) - Who was this being said to? It has been said to the children of God who are holding onto the covenant. We have already said this but Jesus Christ is the True King and Priest. But Paul said that we are the royal priesthood. Why and how are we the royal priesthood? It is because we can call people out of darkness and bring them to the marvelous light. When we hold onto this, then a tremendous answer and the grace of God has no choice but to come to us. We are able to naturally start to enjoy Immanuel (God with us) instead of trying to enjoy Immanuel. This is because you are holding onto something that God wants you to hold onto. Receive answers. Hold onto this. Hold onto what God wants you to hold onto. For the new year coming up, find what God wants you to do for the next year. Hold onto this and start a new year, and when you do this, then your next and new year will be full of blessings and victory. Any closed doors will be opened for you, this blessing will come to you.
보좌 우편에 앉으신 대제사장(히8:1-2)
서론
올 한 해를 마감하면서 여러가지 감사가 많이 나왔다. 특별히 우리 교회를 잘 수리될 수 있도록 하나님께서 은혜를 베풀어주셨다. 좋은 agent를 만나게 해주시고 수리하시는 장로님을 만나게 해주셔서 깨끗하게 잘 되었다. 하나님께서는 또 우리 경제를 생각하셔서 보험회사를 통해서 모든 것을 해결해주신 것을 또 감사드렸다. 수리하는데 우리 장로님이 여러가지로 수고를 많이 하셨다. 코로나 가운데 가게도 어려운 상황에서 찾아와서 도와주셔서 잘 마칠 수 있었다. 우리 장로님들 특히 미주 총회 장로님들 가운데서도 가장 잘 섬기시는 모델이 되는 분들로 알고있다. 여러가지 하는 가운데서 건강이 안좋으셔서 기침하는 모습, 열이 오르는 모습을 보면서 참 안타까웠다. 하집사님과 하영하 권사님과도 말씀 포럼하는데 몸이 안좋아서 쩔쩔매는 모습을 보면서 참으로 안타까웠다. 저는 그것을 보면서 하나님 앞에 기도를 하는데 하나님께서 저에게 말씀이 떠오르게 하셨다. 바로 마가복음 10:45 말씀이 떠올랐다.
막 10:45 인자가 온 것은 섬김을 받으려 함이 아니라 도리어 섬기려 하고 자기 목숨을 많은 사람의 대속물로 주려 함이니라
이분들을 놓고 기도하는 가운데 이 말씀이 떠올랐다. 마음 가운데 느끼는 것이 내가 계속 섬김을 받기만 하는 삶을 살았구나 하는 마음이 떠올랐다. 그러면서 내가 주님께서 사신 삶과 정반대의 삶을 살고있었구나 하는 마음이 왔다. 주님 앞에 기도하면서 주님 이제는 정말 내가 성도들을 섬기고 렘넌트들을 섬기는 삶을 살겠습니다 하고 기도했다. 마음에 작정을 했다. 성도들과 렘넌트들을 위해서 힘써 기도하고 섬기는 삶을 살아야겠다 하고 기도했다. 저는 지금까지 계속 기도하면서 있는데 올 해 제가 받은 응답 가운데 가장 큰 응답이 바로 그것이 아닌가 하는 생각이 든다. 기도할 때 마다 기쁜 마음이 든다. 우리는 주님의 삶을 살아야겠다. 오늘 말씀을 통해서 우리에게 중요한 메세지를 주신 것을 발견할 수 있다.
1. 복음의 요점
1) 우리의 대제사장
히 8:1 지금 우리가 하는 말의 요점은 이러한 대제사장이 우리에게 있다는 것이라 그는 하늘에서 지극히 크신 이의 보좌 우편에 앉으셨으니
말씀이 굉장히 의미가 있다. 지금 우리가 하는 말에 요점이라는 것은, 복음의 핵심이 무엇이냐 하면 이러한 대제사장이 우리에게 있다는 것이다. 그러면 이러한 대제사장이라는 것은 무엇을 의미하는가. 1장에서부터 7장까지 이야기했던 내용의 요점을 말하는 것이다. 간단하게 요약한다면 세가지로 요약할 수 있다. 우리에게 나타나신 참 대제사장은 레위 족속과는 다른 멜기세덱의 반차와 같은 유다 족속 중에서 하나님께서 임명하셔서 나타나신 분이다. 그런데 그 분은 이 세상에 있는 제사장과는 다르게 죄도 없고 악도 없고 더러움이라고는 흔적조차 없는 깨끗한 분이시다. 흠도 없고 죄도 없는 깨끗하신 분이 우리 죄를 대신 짊어지시고 돌아가심으로 말미암아 완전한 대속죄물이 되셨다. 그리고 그 대제사장은 율법에서 말했던 삶을 완벽하게 사시고 부활하셔서 승리하신 분이다. 우리 모든 문제를 완벽하게 해결해주신 그 분이 지금 우리에게 있다는 것이다. 지금 실질적으로 살아계시다는 것이다. 2천년 전에 히브리서가 기록되었을 때 뿐 아니라 지금도 살아계신다는 것이다. 그 살아계신 주님이 어떻게 하고 계시는가.
2) 보좌 우편에 앉으심
그는 하늘에서 지극히 크신 이의 보좌 우편에 앉으셨으니 하고 말하고 있다. 대제사장이 보좌 우편에 앉으셨다. 구약에 있었던 대제사장들은 성막에 들어가게되면 앉아있을 수가 없었다. 그 성막에는 의자가 없었다. 왜냐하면 항상 서서 제사를 지내고 끝없이 제사를 지내야하니까 앉아있을 시간이 없었다. 오늘 기록하고 있는 대제사장을 어떻게 하고 계시냐. 바로 보좌에 앉으셨다는 것이다. 앉으셨다는 것은 모든 것을 완전히 다 끝내고 편안한 자세로 계시다는 것이다. 또 보좌에 앉으셨다는 것은 대제사장 되신 예수님께서 만왕의 왕으로 등극하셨다는 것이다. 그러니까 이 대제사장은 왕이 되시면서 대제사장이 되신 분이라는 것이다. 우리 주님께서는 지금 보좌에 앉아계시면서 어마어마한 권세를 다 갖고계시는 것이다. 만왕의 왕이 되시면서 우리 모든 죄를 해결하신 대제사장이시다. 우리가 말씀을 붙들고 기도하는 것 마다 다 응답하고 계신다. 그렇기 때문에 우리는 요 14:14 말씀을 붙들고 기도하게 되면 그대로 된다.
요 14:14 내 이름으로 무엇이든지 내게 구하면 내가 행하리라
왜냐하면 이 말씀은 왕의 말씀이기 때문이다. 내가 왕의 이름, 예수님의 이름, 제사장 되신 그 분의 이름으로 기도하게 되면 어마어마한 실질적인 권세가 나타난다는 것이다. 우리가 어떤 질병이나 흑암의 권세나 문제가 생겼다고 하더라고 그것을 놓고 기도하게 될 때 왕 되신 제사장 되신 그 분의 이름으로 기도하게 되면 실질적으로 문제가 해결된다는 것이다. 믿으시는가. 우리가 예수님의 이름으로 기도하게 되면 흑암의 권세는 그 순간에 벌벌 떨게 되어있다. 그 이름을 갖고 말씀을 붙잡고 기도하게 되면 흑암이 결박되고 떠나간다. 우리에게는 어마어마한 권세가 있다.
2. 하늘의 참 장막
1) 성소의 주인
히 8:2 성소와 참 장막에서 섬기는 이시라 이 장막은 주께서 세우신 것이요 사람이 세운 것이 아니니라
왕되시고 어마어마한 대제사장 되신 그 분이 성소와 참 장막, 교회를 섬기고 계신 분이라고 한다. 예수님께서 섬기신다는게 무슨 말인가. 왕이면 끝난거 아닌가. 왕이 섬기고 있다. 왜 섬겨야하는가. 롬 8:34에 나타난다.
롬 8:34 누가 정죄하리요 죽으실 뿐 아니라 다시 살아나신 이는 그리스도 예수시니 그는 하나님 우편에 계신 자요 우리를 위하여 간구하시는 자시니라
보좌에 앉으신 분이 왕되신 바로 그 분이 아버지에게 모든 권세를 받았음에도 불구하고 아버지에게 지금 우리를 위해서 간구하고 계시다. 그 어마어마한 보좌에서 무엇을 간구하겠는가. 우리 인생의 죄를 위해서, 생명 구원을 위해서, 우리 문제 해결을 위해서 아버지 앞에 기도하고 계신다. 장막에서 기도하신다고 했다. 주님의 장막을 세우시기 위해 기도하시는 것이다. 지금 주님께서 하시는 일이 엡 2:20에 나타난다.
엡 2:20 너희는 사도들과 선지자들의 터 위에 세우심을 입은 자라 그리스도 예수께서 친히 모퉁잇돌이 되셨느니라
예수님께서 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가시면서 모퉁잇돌이 되셔서 한 쪽에는 구약시대에 구원받은 사람들 다른 쪽에는 신약시대에 구원받은 사람들을 중심으로 건물을 세워가고 계시다. 주님께서는 이 건물을 세워나가시는 계속 아버지께 간구하시면서 세워나가신다. 우리가 고전 3:16을 보게되면 이 상황을 알 수 있다.
고전 3:16너희는 너희가 하나님의 성전인 것과 하나님의 성령이 너희 안에 계시는 것을 알지 못하느냐
예수 그리스도를 영접하는 순간에 성령이 들어오셔서 빛을 발하시면서 건물을 짓는데에 벽돌이 되게 하신다.
엡 2:21-22 그의 안에서 건물마다 서로 연결하여 주 안에서 성전이 되어 가고 22 너희도 성령 안에서 하나님이 거하실 처소가 되기 위하여 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 지어져 가느니라
하나님 앞에 우리가 예수님을 힘입어 성전이 되어가는 것 자체가 얼마나 큰 축복인지 모른다.
엡 1:22 또 만물을 그의 발 아래에 복종하게 하시고 그를 만물 위에 교회의 머리로 삼으셨느니라
영적으로 건물 말고 다른 모습인 몸으로 사도바울이 이야기하고 있다. 예수님을 머리로 모시고 우리가 지체가 되어서 이루어져가는 것이다. 모든 몸을 이루어나가기 위해서 성취시키기 위해서 주님께서는 계속 기도하고 계신다. 우리가 얼마나 귀중한가. 우리가 예수님 몸의 일부분이 될 정도로 귀하다. 우리 몸에는 중요하지 않은 부분이 하나도 없다. 주님께서도 여러분 한 분 한 분이 너무나 귀중한 것이다. 여러분들을 불꽃같은 눈으로 항상 보호해주시고 지켜주신다. 뿐만 아니라 구원받지 못한 사람들이 주님께 돌아오도록 기도하고 계신다. 부활하신 주님의 사역을 보더라도 알 수 있다.
2) 그리스도 사역
주님께서 이 땅에 오셔서 하신 말씀이 나타난다.
막 1:38 이르시되 우리가 다른 가까운 마을들로 가자 거기서도 전도하리니 내가 이를 위하여 왔노라 하시고
예수님께서 이 땅에 전도하기 위해서 왔다는 것이다. 왜냐하면 하늘에 놀라운 성전을 지어야하니까. 몸을 이루셔야하니까. 그러면 부활하신 주님께서 뭐하고 계신다. 사도바울에게 나타난 것을 보면 알 수 있다.
행 26:16 일어나 너의 발로 서라 내가 네게 나타난 것은 곧 네가 나를 본 일과 장차 내가 네게 나타날 일에 너로 종과 증인을 삼으려 함이니
사도바울을 부활하신 주님께서 만나셔서 하신 말씀이 바로 내가 너로 종과 증인을 삼기 위해서 그렇게 했다는 것이다. 지금 하늘 계셔서 주님의 모든 관심은 생명 구원에 있다.
히 7:24-25 예수는 영원히 계시므로 그 제사장 직분도 갈리지 아니하느니라 25 그러므로 자기를 힘입어 하나님께 나아가는 자들을 온전히 구원하실 수 있으니 이는 그가 항상 살아 계셔서 그들을 위하여 간구하심이라
제사장으로 하늘에 계시면서 우리를 위해서 간구하고 계신다 바로 예수 그리스도를 믿고 나아가는 자들을 구원시키기 위해서 간구하고 계시다는 것이다. 뿐만 아니라 우리 구원받은 자들을 위해서 하고 계신 일을 찾아볼 수 있다.
마 28:18 예수께서 나아와 말씀하여 이르시되 하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 내게 주셨으니
이 말씀을 붙잡게되면 근심 걱정할 이유가 하나도 없다. 왜냐하면 우리는 성전을 통해서도 그렇고 몸을 통해서도 그렇고 주님과 나는 하나이다. 하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 가지신 주님이 나와 한 몸이기 때문에 왕권을 가지고 나갈 수 있는 것이다. 메세지 잘 잡으시기 바란다. 그렇다면 우리가 완전한 응답을 받을 수 있는 비밀이 무엇인가. 하나님의 모든 관심이 어디있는가를 알면 응답을 쉽게 받을 수 있다.
3. 완전한 응답의 비밀
1) 당연한 응답(나에게)
먼저 당연히 나에게 필요한 것을 해결해주시기 위해서 기다리고 계신다. 응답을 받기 위해서는 하나님의 계획 속에 있는 것을 기도해야한다. 다시 말씀드리면 하나님께서 필요하신 것을 찾을 때 응답하신다. 초대교회를 강력하게 쓰신 이유는 세계복음화를 위해서였다. 초대교회에는 많은 문제가 있었다. 하나님께서는 그 문제들을 일으켜 가시면서 문제를 해결해나가셨다. 세계복음화에 모든 방향을 맞추시면서 이루어나가셨다. 그 문제 하나 하나를 자세히 보면 어떻게 해결해나가셨는가. 한사람 한사람을 바라보시면서 그들이 갖고있는 문제를 해결하시면서 세계복음화를 이루셨다. 문제 없는 사람이 없었다. 유대인이라고 하더라도 불신자 상태에 빠져있었다. 불신자들은 물론 어마어마한 영적문제, 정신문제에 붙잡혀있다. 하나님께서는 말씀을 통해서 그 문제를 해결하시면서 교회를 세워가셨다. 그래서 우리는 신앙에 방해되는 모든 12가지 문제를 놓고 기도해야겠다. 예수님께서 하신 질문을 붙잡고 기도해야한다. 베드로에게 네가 나를 누구라 하느냐 하신 질문의 응답을 붙잡아야겠다. 주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이십니다. 모든 문제의 해답은 여기서부터 시작된다. 그리스도가 나의 그리스도가 정말로 되어질 때에 하나님께서는 세가지 축복을 거저주신다. 첫번째로는 교회를 세우실 것이라고 했다. 성전을 세우는 것이다. 두번째로는 음부의 권세가 떠나가게 하신다. 그 다음에 천국 열쇠를 주신다. 이것이 하나님께서 우리에게 원하시는 것이다. 이 축복 정말로 누리시기 바란다.
마 16:16-20 시몬 베드로가 대답하여 이르되 주는 그리스도시요 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다 17 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 바요나 시몬아 네가 복이 있도다 이를 네게 알게 한 이는 혈육이 아니요 하늘에 계신 내 아버지시니라 18 또 내가 네게 이르노니 너는 베드로라 내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니 음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라 19 내가 천국 열쇠를 네게 주리니 네가 땅에서 무엇이든지 매면 하늘에서도 매일 것이요 네가 땅에서 무엇이든지 풀면 하늘에서도 풀리리라 하시고 20 이에 제자들에게 경고하사 자기가 그리스도인 것을 아무에게도 이르지 말라 하시니라
2) 필연적 응답(현장에)
두번째 나타나는 것이 있다. 현장에 필연적으로 필요로 하는 것이 있다. 현장에서 가장 중요한 것이 행 1:8 말씀이다.
행 1:8 오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라
우리가 이 언약을 잡고 기도해야한다. 누구든지 이 언약을 잡고 기도하게 되면 행 2장의 축복을 주실 줄로 믿는다. 분명히 잡으시기 바란다. 1장 8절의 언약을 잡고 기도하게되면 필연적으로 주시는 응답히 행 2장에 나타나는 성령충만의 응답이다. 왜 필연적이라고 이야기하는가. 이것은 하나님이 필요로 하시는 것이기 때문이다. 현장을 살리기 위해서는 성령의 능력이 아니면 안되기 때문에 그것을 놓고 기도하면 반드시 주신다. 초대교회는 이것을 놓고 기도했더니 응답이 왔다. 그래서 행 2:41-42과 마찬가지로 3천 제자의 축복이 나타났다. 46-47절 보게되면 날마다 이 응답이 나타났다. 현장에 가장 필연적으로 나타나는 말씀을 붙잡고 기도하면 반드시 역사가 나타난다. 이 응답 누리시기 바란다.
행 2:1-4 오순절날이 이미 이르매 저희가 다 같이 한곳에 모였더니. 2 홀연히 하늘로 부터 급하고 강한 바람 같은 소리가 있어 저희 앉은 온 집에 가득하며. 3 불의혀 같이 갈라지는 것이 저희에게 보여 각 사람 위에 임하여 있더니. 4 저희가다 성령의 충만함을 받고 성령이 말하게 하심을 따라 다른 방언으로 말하기를 시작하니라
행 2:41 그 말을 받은 사람들은 세례를 받으매 이 날에 신도의 수가 삼천이나 더하더라
행 2:46-47 날마다 마음을 같이하여 성전에 모이기를 힘쓰고 집에서 떡을 떼며 기쁨과 순전한 마음으로 음식을 먹고 47 하나님을 찬미하며 또 온 백성에게 칭송을 받으니 주께서 구원 받는 사람을 날마다 더하게 하시니라
3) 절대적 응답(시대에)
세번째이다. 시대적으로 절대적으로 필요한 것을 놓고 기도할 때 응답을 주신다. 행 16장 보게되면 드로아에서 소아시아에 가려고 하는데 길이 막혔다. 문이 열리지 않는 것이다. 사도바울이 그것을 놓고 기도했다. 그랬던이 마게도냐 청년이 꿈에 나타나서 부르는 것이다. 하나님께서 이리로 오라고 하시는구나 하는 것을 발견하게 된다. 하나님께서 새로운 문을 작정하신 것이다. 우리가 원하는게 아니라 하나님께서 예비한 문이 있다. 전도자에게 시대적으로 필요한 응답을 주시는 것이다. 하나님께서는 로마복음화가 중요하기 때문에 거기로 방향을 바꾸신 것이다. 사도바울이 마게도냐로 들아갔다. 빌립보를 찾았다. 사도바울은 무슨 일이 일어날지 몰랐다. 그런데 거기서 복음을 전하는데 루디아라는 여자가 마음을 열었다. 사도바울의 말을 듣고 말씀을 듣더니 마음 문을 열고 영접하는 것이다. 이것이 하나님께서 역사하신 것이다. 이것이 바로 빌립보 교회가 세워지는 역사였다. 유럽에서 제일 첫번째로 생긴 교회가 빌립보 교회였다. 하나님께서는 로마복음화가 먼저 이루어지는 길로 인도하셨다. 그렇다면 우리가 하나님께서 시대적으로 필요로하시는 것을 잡게되면 자동적으로 응답이 올 수 밖에 없다. 여러분 사도바울이 왜 이렇게 응답을 잘 받는지 아시는가. 이것을 딱 잡았다. 사도바울이 나는 로마로 가야할 것이라고 이야기했다. 하나님은 어마어마한 축복을 사도바울에게 주셨다. 우리가 응답받는 것은 굉장히 쉽다. 하나님의 계획 속에 있는 기도를 하게되면 응답이 저절로 오게 되어있다. 하나님께서 필요로 하시는 것이니까. 그렇게 되면 하나님께 쓰임 받는다. 사도바울이 가는 곳 마다 능력의 역사와 생명 구원의 역사가 나타났었다. 새로운 눈을 뜨시기 바란다. 정말로 응답받는 여러분 되시기 바란다.
행 16:7-10 무시아 앞에 이르러 비두니아로 가고자 애쓰되 예수의 영이 허락하지 아니하시는지라 8 무시아를 지나 드로아로 내려갔는데 9 밤에 환상이 바울에게 보이니 마게도냐 사람 하나가 서서 그에게 청하여 이르되 마게도냐로 건너와서 우리를 도우라 하거늘 10 바울이 그 환상을 보았을 때 우리가 곧 마게도냐로 떠나기를 힘쓰니 이는 하나님이 저 사람들에게 복음을 전하라고 우리를 부르신 줄로 인정함이러라
행 16:14 두아디라 시에 있는 자색 옷감 장사로서 하나님을 섬기는 루디아라 하는 한 여자가 말을 듣고 있을 때 주께서 그 마음을 열어 바울의 말을 따르게 하신지라
결론
지금까지 말씀드린 것이 무엇을 이야기하고 있는가. 하나님의 모든 관심은 생명구원과 교회를 세우는데 있다. 영적으로 본다면 하늘에 어마어마한 성전을 세우시는데 모든 방향을 맞추시고 모든 것을 이루어가시는 것이다. 그런데 만약에 우리가 전도와 세계복음화에 관심이 없다면 지금까지 말씀드린 모든 축복이 나와 전혀 관계가 없는 것이다. 지금 말씀드린 모든 응답은 전도할 때 나타나는 응답들이다. 모든 개인에게 나타났던 기적과 이사는 전도할 때 나타났다. 세계복음화의 모든 과정에서 나타난다. 그런데 내가 교회를 다니면서도 나는 전혀 전도와 상관없다면 나는 하나님의 축복을 전혀 받기 싫어 하는 것과 똑같은 것이다. 우리가 그렇게 신앙생활을 한다면 어떤 기적과 응답도 바라볼 수가 없다. 영적으로 본다면 나에게 있는 성령의 불이 꺼진 것과 마찬가지이다. 그래서 이것이 얼마나 중요한지 붙잡아야한다. 언약 가운데 붙잡고 있다는 것 자체가 기적이라고 하지 않는가. 베드로 사도가 이야기했다.
벧전 2:9 그러나 너희는 택하신 족속이요 왕 같은 제사장들이요 거룩한 나라요 그의 소유가 된 백성이니 이는 너희를 어두운 데서 불러 내어 그의 기이한 빛에 들어가게 하신 이의 아름다운 덕을 선포하게 하려 하심이라
이것은 누구에게 이야기하는 것이냐면 언약잡은 주님의 자녀들에게 이야기한 것이다. 오늘 말씀드린 것 처럼 예수님은 만왕의 왕되시며 대제사장 되신 분이다. 베드로는 이야기하기를 너희가 왕 같은 제사장이라고 말하고 있다. 왜 왕 같은 제사장을 삼아주셨는가. 너희를 어두운 데서 불러 내어 그의 기이한 빛에 들어가게 하신 이의 아름다운 덕을 선포하기 위함이라는 것이다. 우리가 이것만 잡게되면 정말로 축복받고 은혜 받을 수 밖에 없다. 임마누엘이 누리고 싶어 누리는게 아니라 저절로 누리게 되어진다. 왜 그런가. 주님께서 기뻐하시는 것을 붙잡고 있으니까. 응답받으시기 바란다. 하나님께서 나에게 가장 필요로 하시는 것이 무엇일까 붙잡으시기 바란다. 내년도에 나에게 꼭 필요로 하시는 것이 무엇일까 붙잡으시기 바란다. 이것을 잡고 새해를 시작할 때는 정말로 축복 받는 한 해가 될 줄로 믿는다. 여러분들에게 막혔던 문이 있더라도 반드시 열리는 축복이 있을 줄로 믿는다.
