Christ who transcends time and space (Hebrews 8:12-13)

Introduction
I am sure you have heard about this but during the 117th congress meeting on January 3rd, a democrat closed the meeting with the Congress’ opening prayer. His name was Emanuel Cleaver and he was a pastor. The problem was that when he was finishing up his prayer, he said something strange at the end. When we as Christians end our prayers, we say, “In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen” but this pastor ended his prayer by saying the names of different religious gods. When I heard this, I realized that religious pluralism has taken a serious and severe root in America. Religious pluralism means that people believe in one, same God. This means that the god that Buddhists worship, the gods that Hinduism worships, and the God that we worship as Christians are all the same. The problem with this is, is saying that with any religion and with every religion, you can receive salvation. It doesn’t end there but when we end our prayers, we say Amen but instead of saying Amen and pastor Emanuel said, “Amen and a woman”. He said to prevent producing inequality between a man and a woman. I don’t think pastor Emanuel doesn’t know God but I am not sure if I can say that he truly knows God. This person graduated from a seminary school in Kansas where he raised up a church and practiced his ministry for 37 years. A person who practiced ministry for this long, this person ended up praying to different gods’ names and this is so astounding. Amen means that you are wanting the word of God to be fulfilled but the fact that he ended his prayer with an “amen and a woman” means that he doesn’t know what Amen means. The problem is that if you don’t know the gospel accurately even if you study the Bible, you can end up doing strange things like this pastor. When I heard this, I realized that this person is so pitiful. In a few years, he may have to stand before God so I was very worried for him since he was old in his age. What is more severe is that the people who were worshipping and praying with him, his church members, what would their future look like? For 37 years during his pastoral ministry, who did this pastor worship and serve? This is a severe problem. Through today’s passage, we need to see what this passage is accurately saying and correctly hold onto it. We will be interpreting the Old Testament and New Testament simply. Through today’s pulpit passage, let us discuss the sermon further.
1. The Old Testament and the New Testament
1) The core of the Old Testament
Verse 13 - If you interpret this passage incorrectly, you may go through the wrong path. The law will disappear and perish and when Jesus Christ died, we were able to see that He finished everything. But we need to interpret and see this passage correctly. It says that the law is growing old. There are three types of law that we spoke about in the previous messages. The three types of law are the moral, civil law, and ceremonial law. But within today’s passage, we will be speaking about civil law. In the old days, they had to perform circumcision in order to obtain salvation but after Jesus Chirst came, we no longer have to be circumcised to be saved. Also, a long time ago, according to the law if you touched a dead body then for a week, you couldn’t go to temple to worship. But this law doesn’t exist anymore. And, regarding food, long time ago they couldn’t eat pork but now, you can eat any food with thanksgiving before God. After looking at the Bible, you can say that you don’t want to eat pork then don’t eat pork but if you eat pork it doesn’t mean that you won’t receive salvation. This is part of the civil law. It said that it was vanishing away, which means that it was disappearing. In the Old Testament, there were a lot of blood sacrifices being performed but there is no need for priests to perform blood sacrifices anymore. This is because when Jesus Christ came, He finished all things on the cross. When Jesus Chirst came, He allowed some things to become obsolete and to vanish away. But there is one thing that still exists as a law. The one law that still exists are the 10 commandments.
Hebrews 8:10 (“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”) - This is talking about the 10 commandments. It means that the law doesn’t disappear. After the Holy Spirit entered inside of us, it gave us the new covenant. Through the working of the Holy Spirit, God instilled a new law into our lives. This means that the law will never disappear. What is the content of this new law? The first part, commandments 1-5 is talking about worship. It says not to serve, worship, and create idols. Also to keep the Sabbath. The rest of the 6 commandments is talking about loving others and not to harm others such as not to murder, steal, and lie and onward. These laws will never disappear. Even if Jesus Chirst comes back for His second coming this law will still exist. Even after Jesus Chirst came and died on the cross, you still should not steal, kill, and lie. This is so important that in the Old Testament, the Israelites were seen disobeying God’s word and losing hold of the covenant and ended up becoming captives of other nations. This was because they forgot about God and His word and worshiped other idols. All blessings and answers are within this. It doesn’t end here. Whether you go to heaven or hell, it is determined by this. All blessings and curses, the determining factor is worship.
That is why Jesus spoke in Matthew 22:37-40 (“Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”) - The last part of this passage is speaking about the core and focus of the Old Testament and the core of the law and the prophets. What is the Old Testament speaking about? It is emphasizing about giving worship to God and to love God, and this is what Jesus Christ was saying. It was emphasizing the main core and content of the Bible. Jesus Christ talked about worship again and how to give proper worship. We need to worship with our whole heart and stake our entire lives on it. When we give worship, we are not just giving worship but we need to stake our entire lives and with our whole heart. This is the way to live a blessed life. We need to love our neighbors like we love ourselves. As saved children of God, we need to help others around us to be saved. Jesus Christ lived His life on Earth, this is so important. He devoted His entire life to God. Jesus Christ loved us so much and sacrificed His life for us. Jesus Christ completed His work. The entire core of the Old Testament was completed and fulfilled on the cross. Then, what is the core of the New Testament?
2) The core of the New Testament
It is the same flow. Just because it is the New Testament, it doesn’t mean that anything has changed. Jesus Christ carried out His ministry on Earth and He even experienced temptations from Satan. Satan’s final temptation was to tell Jesus that he will give everything to Jesus if Jesus bowed down to Satan. But at that time, Jesus demanded for Satan to depart and said that we must worship God alone. During His earthly ministry, He was constantly fighting the spiritual battle and was bringing people out from the hands of Satan to God. It doesn’t end here.
Matthew 5:3-10, 5:24 (“Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 24 Leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”) - If you look in Matthew 5:5-7, it is talking about when Jesus gathered His disciples on the mountain and gave a message. He was giving a message regarding the 8 blessings. The first message that Jesus gave on the mountain was the message regarding the 8 blessings but what was the core of the 8 blessings? It is talking about the posture of worship. It says here, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, blessed are those who mourn, blessed are the meek, and blessed are those who hunger and thirst.” In others words, when we come before God, we need to come with a poor spirit. We need to come to worship with the heart of mourning for our sins. We need to be hungry and thirsty for righteousness of the cross. Not only that but it talks about our posture for our neighbors.
Matthew 5:7-9 - This is talking about evangelists. These are the people who are blessed. This was how Jesus Christ was interpreting the Bible. It doesn’t end here.
When you look in the chapters of Matthew 5, 6, and 7, it says what you must do first three times in different parts. This is what it is showing.
Matthew 5:24 - Did you go to worship? Don’t just enter worship but first reconcile with others and enter into worship. Then you will be able to receive answers and blessings.
Matthew 6:33, 7:5 ("But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 7:5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.") - People always worry about what they should eat, drink, and wear but there is nothing for us to worry about. We need to hold onto the righteousness of the cross and pray for the nation, then all things will be given to us.
Matthew 7:5 - You may be arrogant but we are all standing before God. God is the judge of all things so don’t go around judging others. You need to check and examine yourself first.
John 13:34 (“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”) - Jesus gave a new commandment. What is the new commandment? Think about the cross. Remember the meaning of the cross. Think about the love of Jesus on the cross. We need to love ourselves so that we can save and love others. This is the core of the New Testament. What is God’s greatest concern? God wants us to share the gospel to all nations. We, America, that once had the gospel but we have lost hold of it and now people are saying strange things. The gospel has disappeared but we need to save these people. The people don’t know the judgment that is to come. We need to share the gospel. This is the reason. This is the core of the gospel. Truly receive answers. The core of the Bible is so simple. Whether it is the New Testament or Old Testament, it is the same. Give worship with a whole heart and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. This summarizes both the Old Testament and New Testament. Proclaim the love of God. Then all blessings will come. This is such a great opportunity to receive blessings. This is so simple. But despite this, people still cannot understand. That is why God gave us a new covenant.
2. The New Covenant and Christ
1) The New Covenant and repentance
Verse 12 - In other words, it is talking about those who have the new covenant. In other words, those who take the word of God and instill it into their hearts. God will be merciful towards these people and said that He will not remember their sins. This is what it means to be saved. Then, how can we receive the grace of the Holy Spirit?
The method is written in Acts 2:38 (“Then Peter said to them, 'Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.' ”) - This is so simple. We have received the gospel so we must repent for our sins. Repentance means that you are realizing that your past actions were sinful. This is what repentance is. Realizing that you need to worship God is repentance. Once you realize the need for repentance, then you need to be baptized. Back then, you needed to be baptized with water. Being baptized is showing to God that you are willing to give your life to God. You are realizing that you once lived a sinful and incorrect life but now you realized that you need to give your life to God and start anew. Then, you will receive the blessing of forgiveness of your sins. This is the greatest blessing. You realize that you will now be able to go to heaven and that you believe in Jesus Christ. You have received forgiveness of your sins and you are able to live a blessed life.
It doesn’t end there but you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This is the greatest blessing. The Holy Spirit is the most precious thing in the world. Why is that? Because you have received the blessing to become a child of God. When you become a child of God, you are able to give worship to God. Now that you are a child of God, you are able to worship God to your greatest heart’s content and receive blessings from God.
That is why it is written in Psalm 32:1 (“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.”) - This is an astounding message. All of our sins have been forgiven in an instant and all our sins have been covered. Even with worldly methods, this is impossible. But the moment we present our sins to God, forgiveness of your sins and everything is happening simultaneously and immediately. Why are you blessed? It is because you have the Holy Spirit inside of you. We have the Holy Spirit inside of us. Do you believe that the Holy Spirit is inside of you? If the Holy Spirit is inside of you, then you have received tremendous blessings.
2) The New Covenant and the Three Offices
John 14:26 (“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”) - Long time ago, they had to follow prophets to hear the Word of God but now the Holy Spirit who is with us is teaching the word of God to us. He is helping us to remember the word of God and teaching us. The elder prayed today that the word of God is life. Those who hold onto the word, then you will be given life and power. How is God guiding us? God is guiding us through the Holy Spirit with the three offices of Christ. What are the three offices of Christ?
You can look at John 16:8-11 (“And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”) - The Holy Spirit came inside of us, guiding us, and helping us to remember the word of God as well as righteousness, and sin, and the judgment of God.
John 16:9 - The Holy Spirit came inside of us and is reminding us of our sins. The Holy Spirit came inside of us and is playing the role of the priest. Because of this, we are able to see other people when they commit sins and guide and teach them that they are committing sins.
John 16:10 - Jesus Christ ascended and is now sitting on the right hand of God on the royal throne. We cannot see Jesus again. What does this mean? When Jesus Chirst died on the cross, the veil that separated man and God was ripped from top to bottom. This means that Jesus entered into the Holy of Holies which means that we are able to meet God and be with God once again. This means that we have received the blessing of the royal throne. Jesus Christ has shown us the way to enter the heavenly throne of God. This is the meaning of the cross.
John 16:11 - The Holy Spirit came inside of us and helped us remember the event of the cross as well as showed us that Satan’s head had been completely crushed. Satan once had a hold of us but the Holy Spirit is reminding us that we have been freed. There is no need for us to live as captives and by condemnation; for this reason, we need to give worship and glory to God. Through the three offices of Christ, we are able to give worship and do evangelism to our greatest heart’s content. The Holy Spirit is able to do this now. Enjoy this blessing. It didn’t just happen for no reason or by coincidence but happened to us for a reason. The Holy Spirit inside of us had fulfilled the three offices of Christ which means that we can also fulfill the three roles of Christ. This is what the content of the New Year’s message was as well.
3. God's Children Are The Summit Ambassadors Of The Three Offices
1) Spiritual kings
We are God's children and the summit ambassadors of the three offices of Christ. Truly enjoy this in the name of Jesus Christ. We are spiritual kings. This means that we have the power to break the power of Satan.
Luke 10:17-18 (“Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, 'Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.' 18 And He said to them, 'I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.' ”) - The disciples went to the field and proclaimed in the name of Jesus, and the demons fled. Do you truly believe in this? Truly believe in this. Absolute works will take place when you believe in this. What is more important is that when Jesus heard this, He said something important.
Luke 10:18 - This is a very important message. Disciples went to the field and proclaimed the name of Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ showed His disciples how powerful His name was. Jesus asked the disciples if they used the name of Jesus Christ? Because the moment they proclaimed the name of Jesus Christ, Satan fell from the sky. Do you believe in this? This is the spiritual work and reality at work. We can simply say and command for Satan to flee but Jesus’ name is so powerful that when we proclaim in the name of Jesus Christ, Satan falls from heaven like lightning. Don’t forget about this. Remember this when you pray and when you use the authority of the name of Jesus Christ.
We have also been praying for our diseases and weaknesses but remember this. The name of Jesus Christ is so tremendous and powerful to the point where we can’t explain in words. But what is absolute is that the moment you proclaim the name of Jesus Christ, Satan falls from heaven like lightning. Satan is controlling this world right now but we must block the power of Satan as ambassadors of Christ. We must always hold onto this that Satan is not our opponent, He is not even in the position to challenge us. The reason is because the Holy Spirit is within us. In other words, God and Satan are not and cannot be on the same level. We may be weak and possess nothing but Jesus Chirst who is inside of us, is almighty and powerful.
That is why Jesus Christ said in John 14:14 (“If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”) - May we receive answers in the name of Jesus Christ. Hold onto this. When you hold onto this, then Satan’s power will be bound. What is absolute is that when we proclaim in the name of Jesus, Satan has no choice but to tremble with fear. Receive answers in the name of Jesus Christ.
2) Spiritual priests
God has called us as spiritual priests who will block the disasters of this world.
1 Peter 2:9 (“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”) - Jesus is proclaiming that we are the tremendous royal priesthood. We are the royal priesthoods who can prevent and break down the disasters of this world.
John 20:23 (“If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”) - Our role as a priest is so amazing and tremendous. This is because we are the royal priesthood. May you enjoy this blessing. Truly enjoy it.
3) Spiritual prophets
We have received the blessing as the spiritual prophets. The prophets to save the future.
John 20:21 (“So Jesus said to them again, 'Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.' ") - Wherever we go, Jesus has sent us. We are not going alone but we are going with Jesus Christ who has all authority of heaven and Earth and who is always with us. Truly believe in this. God is always with us 24 hours a day and never leaves us. God knows how lacking we are but He is always with us. Truly be victorious.
Isaiah 60:1 (“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”) - May you look at this message. This means that God’s glory is already upon us. We have received a tremendous blessing. Wherever we go, God’s glory is always with us and shining through us. When we proclaim the gospel, God’s glory shines upon us. The tremendous light of life shines through us when we proclaim the gospel. This is because God is with us. Truly enjoy this. We are the prophets who can save the future. The reason why God sent us here was to truly save America and the world. What is absolute is if it is not you then no one else can do it. Truly hold onto the covenant.
Conclusion
Absolutely hold onto Isaiah 43:7 (“Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”) - Always hold onto this. What is the reason why God created you? God created us so that He can receive glory. “Everyone who called by His name” - What is the reason for creation? For worship. We are confessing that we truly believe that God is our God. Only Christ is my true Christ. With this heart of confession, we give worship. When we do that, then all things and the authority of heaven and earth will be given to us. When we put our entire focus on the life saving movement, then God will receive glory and He will give us all things. What is absolute is that when we are able to do this, then answers will be given to us. This is where all blessings start from this. Receive answers. Let us pray together at this time. Let us place our hands on areas that are sick and pray. If you have assurance that you are a child of God, then pray and command in the name of Jesus Christ. Command that all diseases will be gone. Then healing will take place. Satan’s power will be broken down.

들으신 분도 계신 줄로 믿는다. 1월 3일날 미연방 하원의원 개회 때 어떤 분이 기도를 했다. 임마누엘 클리버라는 민주당 하원의원이었다. 이전 감리교 목사를 했던 분이다. 문제는 그 사람이 기도를 하다가 기도 끝에 이상한 기도를 했다. 우리가 기도를 마칠 때는 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다 하고 마친다. 그런데 이 사람은 우리는 유일하신 브라흐마와 다른 이름으로 불려지는 신의 이름으로 기도합니다 하고 기도했다. 이것을 들으면서 미국의 종교 다원주의가 심각하게 뿌리를 내리고 있다는 것을 느꼈다. 종교 다원주의라 하는 것은 이 세상의 모든 종교는 똑같은 하나님을 섬기고 있다고 믿는 사상이다. 예를 들면 무당들이 섬기는 신이나 절에서 섬기는 신이나 교회에서 섬기는 신이 같은 하나님이라고 믿는 것이다. 이들의 문제는 어떤 종교든지 믿으면 구원을 받는다는 사고방식이다. 문제는 그것으로 끝난 것이 아니라 마칠 때 보통 아멘을 하는데 아멘을 하는 것이 아니라 Amen and A women 하고 얘기했다. 이 사람이 하나님을 모르는 사람이 아니다. 모른다는 것이 맞는 건지도 모르겠다. 이 사람은 캔사스에서 신학교를 나와서 연합 감리교회를 세워서 30년 동안 목회를 했던 사람이다. 그렇게 성경을 연구하고 목회를 했던 사람이 기껏 하는 얘기가 힌두교에서 말하는 창조주라는 브라후마의 이름으로 기도했다는게 기가 막히다. 아멘이라는 것은 말씀대로 이루어지기 원합니다 하는 의미인데 A men 과 A women이라고 하는 것을 보면 아멘의 의미도 모르는 사람이다. 문제는 복음을 정확하게 모르면 어떤 사람도 성경을 공부하는 사람이라고 하더라도 이런 이상한 짓을 할 수 있다. 저는 이 영혼을 보면서 불쌍하다는 생각이 들었다. 나이를 보면 조금있으면 주님 앞에 나가야할 것 같은데 참 걱정된다. 더욱 심각한 것은 그 사람과 같이 예배드렸던 교인들은 그 미래가 어떻게 되겠는가. 37년동안 그 사람이 과연 누구를 향해서 예배를 드리고 경배를 드렸는지 심각한 문제이다. 우리는 오늘 성경에서 이야기하는 것을 정확하게 확실히 잡는 시간 되시기 바란다. 그래서 오늘 구약과 신약을 간단하게 요약을 하면서 말씀드리기를 원한다. 본문을 갖고 말씀을 나누고자 한다.
1. 구약과 신약
1) 구약과 그 핵심
히 8:13 새 언약이라 말씀하셨으매 첫 것은 낡아지게 하신 것이니 낡아지고 쇠하는 것은 없어져 가는 것이니라
이 구절을 잘못 해석하게되면 이상한 주장을 하게된다. 분명히 율법은 낡아지거나 없어져간다고 이야기했다. 그러면 예수님이 오시면 끝난 것 아닙니까 하고 얘기할 수 있다. 우리가 이 말씀을 잘 검토해봐야겠다. 첫 것은 낡아지게 하신 것이니 낡아지고 했다. 율법에는 세 가지가 있다고 말씀드렸다. 도덕법, 시민법, 제사법이 있다고 했다. 그런데 그 중에서 이 말씀은 시민법에 해당하는 것이다. 율법 가운데 낡아지는 것은 옛날에는 할례를 꼭 행했다. 그런데 예수님이 오시고 나서는 행하지 않아도 된다. 또 시민법 가운데서 옛날에 시체를 만졌다 하면 일주일 동안 성전에서 예배를 드리지 못했다. 이제는 그런데 없다. 또 먹는 문제 가운데서 옛날에는 돼지고기 같은 것을 먹지 못했다. 지금은 무슨 음식이든지 하나님께 감사하고 먹으면 된다. 안먹어도 되고 먹어도 된다. 그 시민법에 있는 규정들이 낡아졌다. 그런데 쇠하여 지는 것은 없어지는 것이라는 내용이 나온다. 구약시대에 많은 제사가 있었다. 그런데 많은 제사들은 예수님이 십자가에 죽으심으로 필요가 없어졌다. 예수님이 오심으로 말미암아 완전히 없어졌다. 예수님이 오심으로 말미암아 낡아진 것이 있고 완전히 없어진 것이 있다. 마지막으로 도덕법이 남았다.
히 8:10 또 주께서 이르시되 그 날 후에 내가 이스라엘 집과 맺을 언약은 이것이니 내 법을 그들의 생각에 두고 그들의 마음에 이것을 기록하리라 나는 그들에게 하나님이 되고 그들은 내게 백성이 되리라
십계명에 대한 말씀이다. 십계명은 없어지는 것이 아니다. 성령께서 오셔서 새 언약으로 들어오시는데 그 이유가 새 언약을, 내 법을 그들의 생각에 마음 속에 기록하기 위해서 오셨다. 절대로 없어지는 것이 아니다. 그 내용이 무엇인가. 첫번째에서 네번째까지는 하나님께 드리는 예배에 대한 내용이다. 우상을 섬기지 말라했다. 또 안식일을 거룩히 지켜야한다고 말씀한다. 이웃관계에서는 거짓말 하지 말라 살인 하지 말라 도둑지 하지 말라 하면서 이웃을 사랑하라고 했다. 이것은 절대로 없어지는 것이 아니다. 예수님이 오셔도 꼭 지켜야하는 것이다. 십자가에서 완성시키셨다고 도적질하고 살인하면 안되는 것이다. 이것이 얼마나 중요하냐면 구약시대에 보면 이스라엘 백성들이 하나님 앞에 불순종해서 멸망해서 포로로 잡혀간다. 그 원인이 이것이었다. 하나님을 예배드리지 않고 우상을 섬겼다. 여기에 모든 축복과 응답이 다 들어있다. 그것으로 끝나지 않는다. 앞으로 천국가냐 지옥가냐도 여기에 달려있다. 모든 축복과 저주의 키가 하나님께 예배를 드리는 것과 이웃을 사랑하는 것이다. 그래서 예수님께서 말씀하셨다.
마 22:37-40 예수께서 이르시되 네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라 하셨으니 38 이것이 크고 첫째 되는 계명이요 39 둘째도 그와 같으니 네 이웃을 네 자신 같이 사랑하라 하셨으니 40 이 두 계명이 온 율법과 선지자의 강령이니라
마지막에 두 계명이 온 율법과 선지자의 강령이라는 말씀은 모든 구약 성경에 대한 요약, 핵심이라는 것이다. 구약 성경 전체가 무엇을 얘기하는지 아느냐, 하나님께 예배드리라는 말이고 이웃을 사랑하는 말이다 하고 예수님께서 말씀하신 것이다. 예배 드리는 방법에서 다시 정확하게 말씀하셨다. 네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다해서 하나님을 사랑하라는 것이다. 우리가 예배를 드릴 때 그냥 드리는 것이 아니라 마음과 뜻과 생명을 다해서 예배를 드리라는 것이다. 이 사람이 축복받는다는 것이다. 이웃을 네 몸을 사랑하는 것 같이 사랑하라는 것이다. 우리가 구원 받았으면 옆 사람도 구원받게 하라는 것이다. 주님께서는 실제 이렇게 말씀하시고 그렇게 사셨다. 주님께서는 하나님과 몸과 마음과 생명을 드렸다. 우리를 너무나 사랑하셔서 생명을 버리셨다. 바로 이것을 완성시키신 것이다. 구약시대의 모든 말씀을 핵심을 십자가를 통해서 완성시키신 것이다.
2) 신약과 그 핵심
신약도 같은 흐름을 타고있다. 마 4장을 보면 예수님의 공생애가 시작되면서 처음하신 것이 마귀의 시험을 받으신 일이다. 마귀가 와서 예수님께 뭐라고 이야기했는가. 천하만물을 보여주면서 다 줄테니까 나한테 경배만 해라, 십자가에 올라갈 필요없어 하고 유혹을 했다. 그 때 예수님께서 사단아 물러가라 하면서 오직 하나님만 섬겨라 하고 말씀하셨다. 예수님의 공생애 사역은 이렇게 흑암에게 경배하는 자들을 건져내서 하나님께 인도하기 위한 것이었다. 그것으로 끝나지 않는다. 마 5, 6, 7장에 하나님의 산상수훈이 나타난다. 먼저 여덟 가지, 팔복에 대해서 나온다. 제일 처음 말씀하시는 팔 복의 내용이 무엇인가. 예배의 자세를 얘기하고 있다. 심령이 가난한 자가 복이 있다. 애통하는 자가 복이 있다. 의에 주리고 목마른 자가 복이 있다. 다시 말씀드리면 하나님 앞에 가난한 심령으로 나오라는 말이다. 내 제단에 애통한 마음을 갖고 나오라는 것이다. 십자가의 의에 주리고 목마른 자 처럼 나오라는 것이다. 뿐만 아니라 이웃에 대한 자세를 이야기하고 있다. 온유한 자는 복이 있다. 불쌍한 사람을 긍휼이 여기는 자는 복이 있다. 화평케하는 자는 복이 있다. 전도자를 이야기하고 있다. 그런 사람들이 복이 있다는 것이다. 계명을 이렇게 해석하고 계시는 것이다. 이것으로 끝나는 것이 아니다.
마 5:3-10 심령이 가난한 자는 복이 있나니 천국이 그들의 것임이요 4 애통하는 자는 복이 있나니 그들이 위로를 받을 것임이요 5 온유한 자는 복이 있나니 그들이 땅을 기업으로 받을 것임이요 6 의에 주리고 목마른 자는 복이 있나니 그들이 배부를 것임이요 7 긍휼히 여기는 자는 복이 있나니 그들이 긍휼히 여김을 받을 것임이요 8 마음이 청결한 자는 복이 있나니 그들이 하나님을 볼 것임이요 9 화평하게 하는 자는 복이 있나니 그들이 하나님의 아들이라 일컬음을 받을 것임이요 10 의를 위하여 박해를 받은 자는 복이 있나니 천국이 그들의 것임이라
마 5, 6, 7장에 보면 ‘먼저’ 라는 단어가 나온다.
마 5:24 예물을 제단 앞에 두고 먼저 가서 형제와 화목하고 그 후에 와서 예물을 드리라
너희들이 예배 드리러갈 때 그냥 가지 말고 원망들을 만한 것을 가서 화해하고 오라는 것이다. 그럴 때 축복받고 응답받는다는 것이다.
마 6:33 그런즉 너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더하시리라
사람들이 무엇을 먹을까 마실까 입을까를 항상 고민한다. 그런 것은 도무지 걱정하지 말라는 것이다. 정말 십자가에 와서 그 의를 붙잡고 나라를 위해서만 찾으면 다 채워주신다는 것이다.
마 7:5 외식하는 자여 먼저 네 눈 속에서 들보를 빼어라 그 후에야 밝히 보고 형제의 눈 속에서 티를 빼리라
네가 남들 앞에서 교만하게 굴지 말라는 것이다. 모든 것을 심판하시는 분은 하나님이니까 네가 심판하지 말라는 것이다. 네 자신을 먼저 점검하고 회개할 것을 찾으라는 말이다.
요 13:34 새 계명을 너희에게 주노니 서로 사랑하라 내가 너희를 사랑한 것 같이 너희도 서로 사랑하라
새 계명이 무엇인가. 내가 십자가에 의하여 죽는 십자가를 생각하라는 것이다. 하나님을 사랑하고 너희를 사랑하여 죽는 이 십자가를 생각하라는 것이다. 도와줄 자는 도와주고 생명 구원할 자는 생명을 구원하라는 것이다. 이것이 신약의 핵심이다. 그래서 주님의 소원이 땅 끝까지 복음을 전하는 것이다. 복음을 먼저 받은 미국에서도 복음이 없어서 국회에서 이상한 소리를 해대고있다. 하나님 앞에서 저와 여러분들에게 이 복음을 주셨다. 그들을 살리라는 것이다. 자기가 앞으로 당할 심판이 어떤지를 모르고 있다. 복음을 전하라는 것이다. 바로 이것이 신약의 핵심이다. 그러니까 성경의 핵심이라는 것은 너무나 간단하다. 구약이나 신약이나 간단하다. 하나님께 정말로 예배를 드리고 복음을 전하라는 것이다. 하나님의 사랑을 전하라는 것이다. 그러면 모든 축복이 다 있다는 것이다. 얼마나 축복받기 쉬운가. 그런데도 불구하고 사람들이 이 말을 못 알아듣는다. 그래서 하나님께서는 새 언약을 또 주셨다.
2. 새 언약과 그리스도
1) 새 언약과 회개
히 8:12 내가 그들의 불의를 긍휼히 여기고 그들의 죄를 다시 기억하지 아니하리라 하셨느니라
이것은 새언약을 가진 자를 나타낸다. 말씀을 마음에 기록한 자가 받는 축복을 이야기한다. 그들의 죄를 다시 기억하지 아니하리라. 우리가 본다면 구원받은 사람을 의미하는 것이다. 성령 충만함, 성령의 능력, 은혜를 어떻게 받는가.
행 2:38 베드로가 이르되 너희가 회개하여 각각 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 세례를 받고 죄 사함을 받으라 그리하면 성령의 선물을 받으리니
너무나 간단하다. 우리가 복을 받았으면 회개하라는 것이다. 회개라는 것은 내가 우상을 섬기는 것이 잘못된 것이구나 깨닫고 안하는 것이 회개다. 하나님을 섬겨야겠네, 이게 회개이다. 그렇게 마음이 들었다면 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 세례를 받으라고 이야기한다. 내 삶을 주님께 맡기는 것이다. 내가 지금까지 잘못 살았다는 것을 깨달았으면 돌아서서 주님께 맡기는 것이다. 그러면 죄 사함이라는 축복을 받는다. 얼마나 기가막힌 축복인가. 예수님 믿고 천국 가는구나 하고 인생을 맡기면 죄 용서함을 받고 인생이 축복받는 것이다. 그것으로 끝나는 것이 아니라 그리하면 성령을 선물로 받을 것이라고 한다. 최고의 축복을 받는 것이다. 이 세상의 어떤 은금보다도 귀중한 성령의 선물을 받는다. 왜냐하면 하나님 자녀된 축복이기 때문이다. 하나님 앞에 당당하게 나와서 예배드릴 수 있는 것이다.
시 32:1 허물의 사함을 받고 자신의 죄가 가려진 자는 복이 있도다
얼마나 기가 막힌 말씀인가. 우리 허물이 순식간에 없어져버리는 것이다. 우리 죄가 싹 가려지는 것이다. 세상 어떤 방법으로도 할 수 없는 것이다. 그런데 회개해서 이제 주님께 모든 것을 맡기겠습니다 하고 결단하는 순간에 그냥 다 용서함을 받는다. 복이 되는 이유가 성령을 선물로 받기 때문이다. 우리에게 성령이 있다.
2) 새 언약과 삼중직
여러분들이 성령을 모셨다 하게 되면 어마어마한 축복이 있다.
요 14:26 보혜사 곧 아버지께서 내 이름으로 보내실 성령 그가 너희에게 모든 것을 가르치고 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 것을 생각나게 하리라
옛날에는 선지자를 쫓아다니면서 말씀을 들었다. 이제는 성령께서 우리를 가르치신다. 말씀을 생각나게 하셔서 말씀을 통해서 인도하신다. 이 말씀은 영이고 생명이다. 말씀을 붙잡는 자에게 능력으로 영께서 역사하신다. 여기서 무슨 일을 하시느냐하면 성령께서 우리를 그리스도의 삼직으로 인도하신다. 무엇을 위해 삼직으로 인도하시는가.
요 16:8 그가 와서 죄에 대하여, 의에 대하여, 심판에 대하여 세상을 책망하시리라
성령께서 우리에게 오셔서 죄에 대해서 의에 대해서 심판에 대해서 말씀을 생각나게 하셔서 인도하신다는 것이다.
요 16:9 죄에 대하여라 함은 그들이 나를 믿지 아니함이요
성령께서 오셔서 우리 죄에 대해서 깨닫게해주신다. 성령께서 우리 안에서 제사장 역할을 하고 계시는 것이다. 저 사람이 죄에 빠져있다는 것을 가르쳐주신다. 이 어마어마한 역사를 성령께서 우리안에서 하신다.
요 16:10 의에 대하여라 함은 내가 아버지께로 가니 너희가 다시 나를 보지 못함이요
예수님께서는 부활 승천하셔서 하나님 보좌 우편에 계신다. 우리는 볼 수 없다. 예수님께서 십자가에서 못박혀 돌아가심으로 휘장이 위에서 아래로 찢어졌다. 예수님께서 그 안에 들어가셨다. 이제 우리도 예수님을 따라서 다 들어갈 수 있다. 그 지성소가 바로 하나님의 보좌이다. 예수님께서 보좌에 앉으셔서 모든 사람을 보좌 앞으로 인도할 수 있는 길을 열으셨다. 이것이 바로 십자가의 의미이다.
요 16:11 심판에 대하여라 함은 이 세상 임금이 심판을 받았음이라
성령께서 우리에게 깨닫게 해주시는 것이 예수님의 십자가 사건을 통해서 사단이 완전히 꺾히게 됨이다. 너를 붙잡고 있던 사단의 세력은 완전히 꺾였다는 것을 깨닫게 해주시는 것이다. 너는 이제 구속받지 말고 마음껏 하나님께 영광돌리라는 것이다. 성령께서 그리스도의 삼중직을 행하시면서 하나님께 마음껏 예배를 드리고 복음을 전할 수 있도록 길을 열어주시는 것이다. 이 축복을 정말 누리시기 바란다. 그냥 이론상으로 된 것이 아니라 실질적으로 나에게 주어졌다. 성령께서 우리 안에 오셔서 삼직을 행하시기 때문에 우리도 삼중직을 행할 수 있는 자격이 주어졌다.
3. 자녀는 서밋의 삼중직 대사
1) 영적인 왕
이번에 원단 메세지에 나왔다. 자녀는 서밋의 삼중직의 대사라고 하셨다. 이 축복 누리시기 바란다. 첫번째로 우리는 영적인 왕이다. 사단의 세력을 꺾는 대사로 임명받은 것이다.
눅 10:17 칠십 인이 기뻐하며 돌아와 이르되 주여 주의 이름이면 귀신들도 우리에게 항복하더이다
이 제자들이 현장에 나와서 예수님 이름으로 물러가라 하고 명령했더니 귀신이 떠났다. 여러분에게 이 권세가 있는 줄로 믿는다. 더 중요한 것은 예수님이 이 말을 들으시고 하신 말씀이다.
눅 10:18 예수께서 이르시되 사탄이 하늘로부터 번개 같이 떨어지는 것을 내가 보았노라
얼마나 귀중한 말씀인지 모른다. 제자들은 현장에 나가서 예수님 이름으로 사단에게 명령했다. 예수님 이름의 권세가 얼마나 큰지를 증언하시는 것이다. 너희들이 예수님 이름을 사용했느냐. 그 순간에 하늘로부터 귀신이 번개 같이 떨어지는 것을 봤다는 것이다. 믿으시는가. 영적으로 이런 현상이 생기고 있다. 여러분들은 사단아 물러가라 하면 아무일도 없는 것 같은가. 예수님의 이름의 권세가 얼마나 쎈지 귀신들의 두목된 사단이 그냥 번개처럼 떨어졌다. 절대 잊지 마시기 바란다. 이 현상을 바라보면서 그것을 놓고 기도하시라. 우리가 예배 마치고 또 병마와 연약한 것을 놓고 기도하는데 그 순간에도 이것을 생각하면서 기도하시라. 예수님 이름의 권세가 어머아마하다. 말할 수 없이 어마어마한 권세가 나타난다. 사단이 세상을 지배하고 있다. 우리를 대사로 세우신 것은 그것을 막으라는 것이다. 항상 우리가 이것을 붙잡아야한다. 사단은 우리의 싸움 대상이 되지 않는다. 왜 그런가. 성령께서 우리 안에 계시기 때문이다. 성령님과 사단은 대상이 안된다. 우리는 비록 연약하고 부족하지만 나와 함께 계신 주님은 어마어마하다.
요 14:14 내 이름으로 무엇이든지 내게 구하면 내가 행하리라
응답받는 여러분 되시기 바란다. 이 말씀 잡고 기도하시라. 이 말씀의 검으로 흑암 권세를 꺾을 것이다. 예수 그리스도 이름이 선포되는 순간에 사단은 벌벌 떤다.
2) 영적인 제사장
사단 나라, 세상 나라, 재앙을 막는 제사장으로 우리를 부르셨다.
벧전 2:9 그러나 너희는 택하신 족속이요 왕 같은 제사장들이요 거룩한 나라요 그의 소유가 된 백성이니 이는 너희를 어두운 데서 불러 내어 그의 기이한 빛에 들어가게 하신 이의 아름다운 덕을 선포하게 하려 하심이라
너희 왕 같은 제사장이 어마어마하다는 것을 증거해주겠다는 말씀이다. 모든 세계의 재앙과 저주는 막을 자가 너희 왕 같은 제사장이라는 것이다.
요 20:23 너희가 뉘 죄든지 사하면 사하여질 것이요 뉘 죄든지 그대로 두면 그대로 있으리라 하시니라
우리가 가진 제사장의 직분은 어마어마하다. 우리는 왕 같은 제사장이기 때문이다. 사실적으로 누려야한다.
3) 영적인 선지자
미래를 살리는 선지자이다.
요 20:21 예수께서 또 가라사대 너희에게 평강이 있을찌어다 아버지께서 나를 보내신것 같이 나도 너희를 보내노라
우리가 그냥 가는 것이 아니라 예수님께서 우리를 보내신 것이다. 나 혼자가는 것이 아니다. 하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 가지신 그 분께서 너와 항상 함께있을 것이라고 하셨다. 24시 절대로 혼자두지 않으신다. 여러분들의 연약한 것 너무나 잘 알고계신다. 항상 함께하신다.
사 60:1 일어나라 빛을 발하라 이는 네 빛이 이르렀고 여호와의 영광이 네 위에 임하였음이니라
하나님의 영광이 이미 너희 속에 있다고 하셨다. 놀라운 축복을 이미 받았다. 가는 곳곳마다 하나님 영광과 함께 움직이는 것이다. 가서 복음을 전할 때 하나님의 영광이 나타난다. 복음을 전하는 그 순간에 생명의 빛, 창조의 빛이 나타난다. 왜냐하면 우리와 함께 주님께서 계시기 때문이다. 그렇기 때문에 여러분들이 미래 살릴 선지자인 것이다. 우리를 하나님께서 여기에 보내신 이유가 정말로 미국을 살리고 세계를 살리기 위함이다. 분명한 것은 여러분들이 아니면 살릴 사람이 없다. 언약 잡는 여러분 되시기 바란다.
결론
사 43:7 내 이름으로 불려지는 모든 자 곧 내가 내 영광을 위하여 창조한 자를 오게 하라 그를 내가 지었고 그를 내가 만들었느니라
항상 붙잡고 생각해야할 것이다. 하나님께서 나를 창조하신 목적이 무엇이냐는 것이다. 나를 창조하신 목적은 영광을 받으시기 위함이다. 내 이름으로 불려지는 자라고 하셨다. 창조의 목적이 무엇인가. 예배를 받으시는 것이다. 하나님만이 나의 참 하나님이심을 믿습니다. 오직 그리스도만이 나의 그리스도십니다. 그리고 예배를 드리는 것이다. 그러면 하늘에 있는 것이나 땅에 있는 것이나 바다에 있는 것이나 모든 것을 다스리시고 통치하시는 권세, 창 1:27-28을 성취시키시는 것이다. 그래서 우리가 하나님께 영광 돌리고 생명 구원에 방향을 맞추게 된다면 하나님께서 모든 영광을 받으시고 마음껏 우리를 축복해주신다. 분명한 것은 이것이 되어질 때 응답이 시작된다. 모든 축복이 여기서부터 시작된다. 응답받는 여러분 되시기 바란다.
