1 이새의 줄기에서 한 싹이 나며 그 뿌리에서 한 가지가 나서 결실할 것이요
2 그의 위에 여호와의 영 곧 지혜와 총명의 영이요 모략과 재능의 영이요 지식과 여호와를 경외하는 영이 강림하시리니
3 그가 여호와를 경외함으로 즐거움을 삼을 것이며 그의 눈에 보이는 대로 심판하지 아니하며 그의 귀에 들리는 대로 판단하지 아니하며
4 공의로 가난한 자를 심판하며 정직으로 세상의 겸손한 자를 판단할 것이며 그의 입의 막대기로 세상을 치며 그의 입술의 기운으로 악인을 죽일 것이며
5 공의로 그의 허리띠를 삼으며 성실로 그의 몸의 띠를 삼으리라
6 그 때에 이리가 어린 양과 함께 살며 표범이 어린 염소와 함께 누우며 송아지와 어린 사자와 살진 짐승이 함께 있어 어린 아이에게 끌리며
7 암소와 곰이 함께 먹으며 그것들의 새끼가 함께 엎드리며 사자가 소처럼 풀을 먹을 것이며
8 젖 먹는 아이가 독사의 구멍에서 장난하며 젖 뗀 어린 아이가 독사의 굴에 손을 넣을 것이라
9 내 거룩한 산 모든 곳에서 해 됨도 없고 상함도 없을 것이니 이는 물이 바다를 덮음 같이 여호와를 아는 지식이 세상에 충만할 것임이니라
10 그 날에 이새의 뿌리에서 한 싹이 나서 만민의 기치로 설 것이요 열방이 그에게로 돌아오리니 그가 거한 곳이 영화로우리라
11 그 날에 주께서 다시 그의 손을 펴사 그의 남은 백성을 앗수르와 애굽과 바드로스와 구스와 엘람과 시날과 하맛과 바다 섬들에서 돌아오게 하실 것이라
12 여호와께서 열방을 향하여 기치를 세우시고 이스라엘의 쫓긴 자들을 모으시며 땅 사방에서 유다의 흩어진 자들을 모으시리니
13 에브라임의 질투는 없어지고 유다를 괴롭게 하던 자들은 끊어지며 에브라임은 유다를 질투하지 아니하며 유다는 에브라임을 괴롭게 하지 아니할 것이요
14 그들이 서쪽으로 블레셋 사람들의 어깨에 날아 앉고 함께 동방 백성을 노략하며 에돔과 모압에 손을 대며 암몬 자손을 자기에게 복종시키리라
15 여호와께서 애굽 해만을 말리시고 그의 손을 유브라데 하수 위에 흔들어 뜨거운 바람을 일으켜 그 하수를 쳐 일곱 갈래로 나누어 신을 신고 건너가게 하실 것이라
16 그의 남아 있는 백성 곧 앗수르에서 남은 자들을 위하여 큰 길이 있게 하시되 이스라엘이 애굽 땅에서 나오던 날과 같게 하시리라

서론
영국에 콜체스터 (Colchester) 라는 자그마한 마을의 한 교회에 존 에글렌 (John Egglen) 이라는 집사가 있었다. 1850년 1월 어느 아침, 그가 일어나 보니 길이 밤새도록 내린 눈에 사람이 걸을수 없을만큼 쌓여 있었다. 눈이 너무 많이 쌓여, ‘아 오늘은 교회를 못가겠네’ 생각했다. 그러다가 생각을 달리해 ‘집사 라는 직분을 가지고 있는 나 부터 눈때문에 교회에 참석 하지 못하겠다 하면 과연 누가 교회에 나오겠나’. 그렇게 외투를 단단히 입고 무장을 해 10km 나 떨어진 교회에 걸어갔다. 교회에 도착하니 12명의 신도와 처음 방문한 13살 짜리 학생이 한명 앉아있었다. 연락이 오기를 목사님 께서도 눈 때문에 교회에 오지 못하게 되었다고 한다. 그래서 모인 사람들끼리 우리 끼리라도 예배를 드립시다 하고 결정해 평신도들 끼리 예배를 드리게 되었다. 그런데 문제는 설교를 할 설교자가 없다는 것이었다. 에글렌은 그 중 자신이 유일하게 집사 직분을 가진 사람임을 깨닫고 할수 없이 설교를 하기로 했다. 평생 설교를 해본적도 남앞에 서본적도 없는데 짧은 시간 안에 성도들 앞에 서 메시지를 해야 하는 상황이 된것이다. 그렇게 정신없이 나와 한 10분 정도 설교를 했다고 한다. 그런 상태에서 설교가 잘 될수 있겠나, 처음부터 헷갈리기 시작 하더니 나중에는 스스로 무슨 말을 하는지도 모르고 설교를 했다. 그런데 설교가 끝날때쯤 갑자기 자신도 알수 없는 스스로 어찌 할수 없는 힘이 임하는것이 느껴졌다고 한다. 그 힘이 느껴지자 마자 앞에 앉아있던 13살 소년을 쳐다보며 말했다고 한다, “Young man, look to Jesus!”. 예수를 봐라, 예수를 보아라, 이렇게 말했다고 한다. 그렇게 에글렌은 설교를 마쳤다. 그런데 예배가 마치고 나서 소년이 말하기를 집사님이 하신 말씀을 듣고 그 순간에 예수님을 바라봤다고 했다. 그런데 그 순간에 그의 마음 속에 있던 먹구름이 걷히고 어두움이 사라지는 느낌이 들면서 태양같이 밝은 빛이 그를 비추는것을 느꼈다고 한다. 이것을 그 소년이 많은 사람들 앞에서 간증 한것이다. 그 13살의 소년이 바로 영국의 유명한 목사 찰스 스펄전 (Charles Spurgeon) 이었다. 그는 영국 역사상 가장 위대한 설교들을 했던 설교의 왕 이라 불리우는 목사님 이다. 이분이 설교 할때 얼마나 사람들이 많이 몰리는지 창문이 깨지고 위에 층이 무너져 내려 사람들이 깔리기 까지 했던 일이 있다. 그 유명한 찰스 스펄전이 예수를 만나게 된 계기가 한 허둥지둥 하는 집사의 설교 때문 이었다는 것이다. 어떻게 해서 소년이 이러한 응답을 받았나. 이 아이에게는 믿음 으로 말씀을 마음 속에 받을 준비가 되었었다고 볼수 있다. 눈이 와서 어른들, 심지어 목사님 까지 오기 힘든 상황 이었음에도 불구하고 내가 하나님께 예배를 드려야겠다, 영광 돌려야겠다 하는 마음을 가지고 교회에 온것이다. 하나님께서는 그 마음과 중심을 보시고 기뻐하시며 큰 은혜를 베푸신것이다. 비록 허둥지둥하는 집사님이 한 설교 였지만, 그 소년이 이러한 뜨거운 마음을 가지고 있었기 때문에 집사님이 말씀을 선포 하는 순간에 그 말씀을 그대로 받아들일수 있었던것이다. “Young man, look to Jesus!” 라고 하니 그 순간에 그 이야기를 듣고 실제적으로 예수님을 바라보게 되었다 하는것이다. 바로 그 순간에 마음과 생각에 흑암이 무너지고 어둠의 세력이 걷히며 진짜 빛이 비추는 체험을 했다고 한다. 우리가 말씀을 받을때 그 말씀을 생각하는게 아니라 그 말씀 그대로 받아들이는것이 얼마나 중요한가 알수가 있다.
1. 이새의 줄기 The stem of Jesse
1) 메시야의 출생예언 The prophecy about the birth of the Messiah
사 Isaiah 11:1
오늘도 우리에게 귀중한 말씀 주시고 있다. 조금전에도 말씀 드렸지만 오늘 말씀은 메시야에 대한 예언 중에서도 참으로 장엄한 시 인 동시에 많은 사람이 사랑하는 구절이다. 예수님이 이런 삶을 살게 될것이다 예언 하는 책이다. 1절 보겠다, “이새의 줄기에서 한 싹이 나며 그 뿌리에서 한 가지가 나서 결실할 것이요”. 여기서 이새의 줄기라 함은 나무의 밑둥을 말한다. 큰 나무가 잘려나가 남은 그루터기를 의미한다. 여기서 한 싹이 났다는것은 메시야 되시는 예수 그리스도를 나타낸다. 그런데 우리가 한가지 생각할 것이 있다. 왜 예수님을 다윗의 자손, 줄기라고 하지 않고 이새의 줄기라고 표현 했나 하는 것이다. 다윗은 위대한 왕이었다. 반면 이새는 왕도 아닌 평범한 목동, 목자의 지나지 아니하는 신분 이었다. 이것은 무엇을 말하나, 약속된 메시야는 화려한 다윗의 가문, 왕궁에서 태어나는게 아니라 평민으로 태어날것이다 하는것을 예언 하고 있는것이다. 실제로 예수님이 이 땅에서 목수의 아들로 태어나시게 된다.
2) 메시야가 성령을 받게 됨 The Messiah receives the Holy Spirit

2절 말씀 보면, “그의 위에 여호와의 영 곧 지혜와 총명의 영이요 모략과 재능의 영이요 지식과 여호와를 경외하는 영이 강림하시리니” 라고 말씀 하신다. 그 메시야에게 성령이 임하게 될것이다 하고 말씀 하시는것이다. 하나님의 아들로 오시는데 그분이 성령을 받게 되실것이다 라는 것이다. 이 성령 받는것이 바로 기름 부음 받음을 나타낸다. 바로 그분이 그리스도가 되실것 이라는것을 나타낸다. 마태복음 3:16에 보면, “예수께서 세례를 받으시고 곧 물에서 올라오실새 하늘이 열리고 하나님의 성령이 비둘기 같이 내려 자기 위에 임하심을 보시더니” 라고 되어있다. 예수님의 공생애 시작은 그가 세례를 받으시고 성령을 받으실때 본격적인 시작이 됨이 나타낸다. 여기에 또 놀라운 내용이 나타난다, 예수님께서 받으신 영이 어떠한 영 이었나 하는것이다. 세가지를 이야기 하고 있다. 처음에는 지혜와 총명의 영을 받았다고 나온다. 지혜와 총명의 영이라 함은 사람의 내면, 마음과 생각, 뜻 까지 알고 계시며 모든 문제와 그에 답까지 알고 계심을 나타낸다. 예수님께서는 그에게 찾아온 니고데모를 보시고 영적문제 있는 자 이구나 금방 아셨다. 너는 예수를 영접해야 한다, 하며 그리스도를 설명 하신것이다. 그 다음 두번째 보면 모략과 재능의 영을 받으셨다고 나온다. 문제를 정확히 진단하고 해결 할수 있는 답을 가진것을 나타낸다. 마가복음 5장 보면, 귀신들린 광인이 무덤 사이로 소리를 지르며 다니고 있었다. 사람들이 도저히 해결 할수 없어서 겨우 한것이 그를 쇠고랑에 채운것이다. 예수님은 그런 그의 앞에 나타나 그에게서 스스로 군대 귀신임을 고백 하는 말을 듣고 말씀 선포로 흑암 세력을 물리치신다. 모략과 재능의 영을 가지셨기 때문이다. 세번째로 지혜와 지식과 여호와를 경외하는 영을 가지셨다. 여러분이 꼭 붙잡을 것은 세상 지식중에 가장 최고 지식이 하나님을 아는 지식이라는 사실이다. 세상 지식은 알면 알수록 교만해 지지만 하나님을 아는 지식은 알면 알수록 겸손해진다. 그래서 잠언 1:7에 여호와를 경외 하는것이 지식의 근본이라 되어있다. 모든 지식중 최고의 지식은 여호와를 경외하는것 으로 부터 온다는 말이다. 이것은 세상 사람들이 도저히 상상 할수 없는 메시지 인것이다. 참 지식은 하나님을 아는것, 그리고 그를 경외하는것 이라고? 이렇게 생각할것이다. 여기서 진정한 감사와 존귀와 삶의 모든것이 결정 되는것이다.
2. 메시야가 통치하는 나라 The nation ruled by the Messiah
1) 메시야의 통치 The Messiah's reign

3절 부터는 메시야가 통치하는 하나님의 나라에 대해 이야기 하고 있다. 3절부터 보면, 예수님의 공생애와 어떻게 이땅에 오셔서 다스림을 보여 주셨는가에 대해 나타내고 있다. 그 다스림의 첫번째가 3절 에 나온다, “그가 여호와를 경외함으로 즐거움을 삼을 것이며 그의 눈에 보이는 대로 심판하지 아니하며 그의 귀에 들리는 대로 판단하지 아니하며”. 놀라운 말씀나타나고 있다. 주님의 통치 원리 중 가장 중요한 것이 바로 여호와를 경외함으로 즐거움을 삼았다고 이야기 하고 있다. 여기서 “즐거움으로 삼는다” 라는 말이 원어로는 “코로 호흡” 한다 라는 의미를 가지고 있다. 코로 호흡 한다 하는것은, 너무나도 좋은 향기를 호흡으로 받아드리는 것을 표현한 것이다. 주님께서 하나님 아버지를 경외 하는것이 마치 아름다운 향기를 들이 마시는것과 같다는 것이다. 사람들은 여호와를 경외 한다 할때 두려움에 떠는 모습을 생각한다. 예수님의 경외함과는 근본적으로 다른것이다. 하나님을 경외하고 존경하는 것 자체가 마치 좋은 향기를 들이마시것과 같다 하는 자세 인것이다. 그러니 하나님께서 기뻐 하실수 밖에 없는것이다. 그래서 마태복음 17:5에, 하나님께서 예수님께 “ 이는 내 사랑하는 아들이요 내 기뻐하는 자니 너희는 그의 말을 들으라 하시는지라.” 하고 말씀 하신것이다. 여러분도 이러한 마음을 가지고 좋은 향기를 맡듯이 즐거운 마음으로 하나님을 경외 한다면 하나님께 이러한 축복의 말씀 듣게 될줄을 믿는다. 4절에 이어서 나온다, “공의로 가난한 자를 심판하며 정직으로 세상의 겸손한 자를 판단할 것이며 그의 입의 막대기로 세상을 치며 그의 입술의 기운으로 악인을 죽일 것이며” 예수님의 통치 기준은 공의와 정직이다. 사람들은 자신의 이득으로 판단 기준 삼지만 예수님 께서는 하나님의 말씀과 공의를 기준으로 삼으신다 이 말이다. 이어서 “입의 막대기” 가 나오고 “입술의 기운” 이 나온다. 모든 선과 악은 말씀에 기준두어 결정 된다 이 뜻이다. 바리새인 에게는 그 입술을 책망했다. 제자들 에게는 말씀을 통해 그들을 살려내신것이다. 병든자를 살려낸 것이다. 이렇게 모든것을 말씀으로 판단 하고 공의 로 판단 하는것이다. 또 5절에 나타난다, “공의로 그의 허리띠를 삼으며 성실로 그의 몸의 띠를 삼으리라", 여기서 말하는 허리띠는 왕이 차는 거들, 허에 차는 띠를 말하고 다시말해 왕권을 나태내는것이다. 공의로 허리띠를 삼는다는 말은 예수님께서 공의를 세우시는것을 나타낸다.이것을 성실히 행하시겠다 이 말이다. 하나님 앞의 우리 인간은 죽을수 밖에 없는 공의의 심판을 받았다. 주님 께서는 그것을 이루시기 위해 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가신것이다. 공의를 이 땅에서 실질적으로 실천해 나가시는것이다. 그렇게 죄의 권세, 사단 권세, 저주 권세를 무너트리는것을 나타낸다. 성실하심으로 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가심으로 이루셨다. 놀라운 사실이다. 이것이 바로 주님의 통치가 이땅에서 일어난 공생의 동안의 모습이다.
2) 메시야의 나라 The Messianic kingdom
사 Isaiah 11:6-9
예수 그리스도의 십자가로 말미암아 이 땅에 메시야의 나라가 임하게 된것이다. 여기 읽어보게 되면 6절에서 8절까지 총 다섯 쌍이 나온다. 이리와 어린양, 표범과 어린염소, 송아지와 어린 사자, 암소와 곰, 젖먹이 아이와 독사, 총 다섯쌍을 서로 대조 하며 기록하고있다. 이것은 함께 평화롭게 지낼수 없는 관계들을 나타낸것이다. 그런데 놀라운 일이다, 그리스도의 십자가 통해 이것들이 완전히 변할것 이라는것이다. 천국의 완전한 임재의 축복을 누리게 될것 이라는것을 나타낸다. 이런 시절은 아담이 타락 하기 이전에 에덴 동산에서 있던 일이다. 그러나 아담 이후로 이런 일이 있겠는가 이것이다. 딱 한번 이 땅에 있었다. 노아 방주에 있었을때이다. 노아의 방주에 사나운 짐승, 연약하고 조그만 짐승이 함께 들어갔다. 그런데 성경에 보면 방주에서 맹수가 약한 짐승을 먹었다 하는 기록은 없다. 어떻게 이런 일이 있을수 있나 이것이다. 하나님께서 함께 계시니 이런 일이 가능하다 이것이다. 하나님께서 함께 계시면 지금도 가능하다 이 말이다. 주님의 십자가 통해 교회가 세워 짐으로 이것이 이루어 진다 하는 말이다. 방주가 교회를 나타내고 있기 때문이다. 교회에 들어오게 되면 이런 역사가 일어날수 있다. 9절에 그 내용이 추가로 나타난다, “내 거룩한 산 모든 곳에서 해 됨도 없고 상함도 없을 것이니 이는 물이 바다를 덮음 같이 여호와를 아는 지식이 세상에 충만할 것임이니라” 내 거룩한 산 모든 곳 은 칼빈이 해석 하기를 교회를 나타낸다. 말씀이 증거되는 교회에서, 말씀을 통해 이러한 일이 이루어지게 될것임을 말하는것이다. 물이 바다를 덮음같이 여호와를 아는 지식이 세상에 충만할 것이라 말하는것이다. 교회에서 말씀을 통해 온 지식이 세상을 덮을것이라는것이다. 말씀을 통해 온 세상에 성령 충만한 역사가 나타나게 될것임을 말하는것이다.
3. 십자가의 깃발 The banner of the cross
1) 교회의 구원사역 The salvation ministry of the Church

그렇다면 교회에서는 어떠한 구원 사역을 이룰것이냐 하는 말씀이 10절부터 나온다, “그 날에 이새의 뿌리에서 한 싹이 나서 만민의 기치로 설 것이요 열방이 그에게로 돌아오리니 그가 거한 곳이 영화로우리라”. 여러분, 그 날에 이새의 뿌리에서 한 싹이 나서 만민의 기치로 설 것이요 라는 말은 그리스도의 깃발이 승리의 기로 우뚝 설것이라는 것이다. 십자가는 이 깃발을 의미한다. 요 3:14에 예수님께서 하신 말씀이다, “모세가 광야에서 뱀을 든 것 같이 인자도 들려야 하리니”. 모세가 들었던 막대기, 장대에 놋뱀을 매달았다. 매달았던 그 뱀은 사단을 나타내고 십자가를 통해 그가 완전히 멸망 당했다는것을 나타낸다. 이것이 바로 교회를 나타낸다. 승리의 깃발, 그리스도가 선포되는 그것을 통해 하나님께서는 모든 구원의 역사가 나타나게 하실것이다 이 말이다. 그래서 11-12 말씀 보게 되면 교회로 하나님이 많은 사람들을 보낼것이라는것이 나온다, “그 날에 주께서 다시 그의 손을 펴사 그의 남은 백성을 앗수르와 애굽과 바드로스와 구스와 엘람과 시날과 하맛과 바다 섬들에서 돌아오게 하실 것이라”. 여기서 중요한 말씀은 그날 주께서 그의 손을 다시 폈다고 나온다. 첫번째 하나님께서 성경에 기록한 구원의 역사에서는 육적인 해방이 있었다 라고 설명 하는것이다. 애굽에서 출애굽 시키신 것이다. 놀라운것은 앗수르에서 해방 되는것을 나타내는데 이사야가 이 글을 쓸 당시에는 그런 일이 일어나기 전이다. 많은 사람들이 교회로 찾아와 영적인 해방을 얻게 될것이라는 것을 나타낸다. 13절에 또 놀라운 말씀 있다, “에브라임의 질투는 없어지고 유다를 괴롭게 하던 자들은 끊어지며 에브라임은 유다를 질투하지 아니하며 유다는 에브라임을 괴롭게 하지 아니할 것이요” 솔로몬 이후에 북이스라엘과 남유다로 갈라져 항상 싸움이 끊이지 아니했다. 그런데 이들이 교회에 들어와 하나가 되게 된다 하는것을 나타낸다. 말씀을 통해, 성령과 십자가 통해 하나가 된다는 말이다. 세상 어떤 방법으로도 불화와 원수된 관계를 해결할수 없다. 말씀 통해서만 가능하고 성령의 능력 통해 가능하다. 뿐만 아니다, 14절 말씀이다, “그들이 서쪽으로 블레셋 사람들의 어깨에 날아 앉고 함께 동방 백성을 노략하며 에돔과 모압에 손을 대며 암몬 자손을 자기에게 복종시키리라” 여기에 기록된 나라들 모두 이스라엘을 괴롭혔던 나라들이다. 이 흑암의 이방 세력들이 깨질것이라는것을 나타낸다. 이 말은 교회를 통해 모든 흑암이 정복 될것이라는것을 말한다. 그리고 15-16절에 이어서 말한다. “여호와께서 애굽 해만을 말리시고 그의 손을 유브라데 하수 위에 흔들어 뜨거운 바람을 일으켜 그 하수를 쳐 일곱 갈래로 나누어 신을 신고 건너가게 하실 것이라”. 애굽이 해만을 말린다는 것은 홍해 바다를 말리신다는 것을 나타낸다. 또 유브라데 강을 말려버린다는 뜻이다. 모든 사람이 걸어서 다 돌아오고 구원 받아서 돌아올수 있게 모든 길을 열겠다 하는것을 나타낸다. 또 16절, 다시 보면 “그의 남아 있는 백성 곧 앗수르에서 남은 자들을 위하여 큰 길이 있게 하시되 이스라엘이 애굽 땅에서 나오던 날과 같게 하시리라”. 남아있는 백성, 구원 받아 택함 받은 백성들을 구원하기 위해 큰 길, 하이웨이를 만들겠다 이 말이다. 누구든지 그리스도 믿는 자는 구원 받을것이다 이 말이다. 누구든지 주의 이름 부르는 자는 구원 받을것이다 라는 말이다. 주님께서 십자가에서 완성 시키셨으니 이제는 찾아만 와라, 교회에만 와라, 예수 그리스도를 영접만 해라 그리하면 하나님의 자녀가 된다 하는 것을 말한다. 이렇게 하이웨이를 통해서 주의 몸된 교회로 오게 되고 보좌의 축복 누리는 자리로 들어가게 된다 하는것을 말한다. 교회로 하이웨이를 낸다는 말은 교회 뿐만이 아니라 천국의 길을 낸다는 것 또한 내포 되어있다. 이 땅에서 보좌의 축복 누리면서 보좌를 바라보며 살아가게 되는것이다. 우리가 보좌의 축복 누리는것이 얼마나 중요한지 모른다. 보좌의 축복 기도문를 업그레이드 해서 다시 정리해놨다, 이것을 가지고 정말 누리시기를 바란다. 이번에 WRC 통해 너무나도 귀한 메시지 받았다. 첫째로 여러분이 먼저 플랫폼이 되시기를 바란다. 나를 보좌화 하고 현장을 보좌화 하고 세계를 보좌화 하시기를 바란다. 보좌화를 어떻게 하나? 보좌의 능력을 누리면 된다. 그래서 묵상 하는것이다. 그리고 나의 것을 잡는것이다. 그리고 말씀을 읽을때 지식으로 읽지 마시고 이미 내게 임한 말씀으로 받으시라. 찰스 스펄슨이 나에게 임한 말씀으로 그대로 받았듯이 이 말씀을 나에게 주신 말씀으로 그대로 받는것이다.

창 41:38에 나와있듯 요셉이 누렸던것이 바로 이것이다, “바로가 그의 신하들에게 이르되 이와 같이 하나님의 영에 감동된 사람을 우리가 어찌 찾을 수 있으리요 하고.” 이것은 그냥 되어지는것이 아니라 요셉이 플랫폼 자체가 된것을 말한다. 완전히 누리고 있으니 자기를 통해 모든 역사가 나타나는것이다. 두번째, 파수망대를 누리시기 바란다. 사 62:7에, “또 여호와께서 예루살렘을 세워 세상에서 찬송을 받게 하시기까지 그로 쉬지 못하시게 하라.” 여러분, 파수망대가 내것이 되게 하기 위해서는 여호와 하나님으로 하여금 쉬시지 못하게 해야 한다. 그래서 우리는 파수꾼이 되기 위해 정시기도에 승리 해야겠다. 정시기도에 대해 많이 언급 하지만 정시기도는 다른것이 아니라 사실 보좌의 축복 누리면서 나의 말씀을 잡는것을 말한다. 우리에게 주신 말씀을 나의것으로, 나에게 주신 축복의 말씀으로 잡는것이다. 이 강단 말씀이 바로 하나님께서 내게 주신 말씀이구나 하고 잡는것이다. 3,9,3 기도를 나의 것으로 받아들이는것 이다. 항상 이런 축복을 누리는것 (3,9,3), 그것이 24 기도이다. 그렇게 되면 감사가 나오기 시작한다. 이러한 축복 누리시기를 바란다. 마지막으로 안테나가 되시기를 바란다. 세계 살릴 축복의 안테나 되시라. 안테나가 되기 위해서는 먼저 하나님과 소통하고 자신과 소통하며 사람들과 소통 해야 한다. 온라인이나 많은것을 이용해서도 많은 소통의 길을 열어야겠다. 안테나의 가장 중요한 역할은 바로 하나님의 말씀을 편집하는것이다. 그리고 나서 나 자신을 그 말씀 붙잡고 설계하는것이다. 그 다음 현장을 놓고 디자인 하는것이다. 이사야 11:10에 말하고 있다, “그 날에 이새의 뿌리에서 한 싹이 나서 만민의 기치로 설 것이요 열방이 그에게로 돌아오리니 그가 거한 곳이 영화로우리라”. 여러분들이 만민을 향해 깃발을 들게 될때 열방이 돌아오는 역사가 있을줄을 믿는다. 바로 이것이 안테나의 축복이다. 정말 이 축복 누리시기를 바란다.

사 Isaiah 60:22
말씀 맺겠다. 이사야 60:22 이다. “그 작은 자가 천 명을 이루겠고 그 약한 자가 강국을 이룰 것이라 때가 되면 나 여호와가 속히 이루리라.” 나는 약하고 나는 작은자다 이렇게 실망하시지 말라. 서론에서 에글렌 집사에 대해 말씀 드렸다. 그는 설교도 할줄 모르고 하는 동안도 계속 헤맸다. 그러나 그 사람이 가지고 있던것은 눈이 많이 와 교회를 가기 힘든 상황에서도 ‘그래도 하나님께 예배 드려야되지 않겠나’ 하는 마음으로 10km 나 되는 눈길을 걸어간것 밖에 없다. 어떻게 보면 좋은 믿음이지만 또 어떻게 보면 별거 없는 믿음이기도 하다. 자기가 설교한 찬스다 라고 생각 했을수도 있고 또 마지 못해서 했을수도 있다. 그런데 어떤 축복이 있었나. 그렇게 헷갈리면서 한 설교 통해서도 하나님이 역사 하셔서 찰스 스펄전 이라는 어마어마한 목회자가 탄생한 것이다. 여러분의 조그마한 믿음, 별거 없어 보이는 믿음 까지 하나님께서는 크게 보시고 큰 열매로 화답 하실것이다. 이러한 축복 누리시는 여러분 되시기를 축원한다.
A Shoot from the Stem of Jesse (Isaiah 11:1-16)

“1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. 2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. 3 His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; 4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. 5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist. 6 ‘The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. 7 The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper's den. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea.’ 10 ‘And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious.’ 11 It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea. 12 He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the outcasts of Israel, And gather together the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth. 13 Also the envy of Ephraim shall depart, And the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy Judah, And Judah shall not harass Ephraim. 14 But they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west; Together they shall plunder the people of the East; They shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab; And the people of Ammon shall obey them. 15 The Lord will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt; With His mighty wind He will shake His fist over the River, And strike it in the seven streams, And make men cross over dry-shod. 16 There will be a highway for the remnant of His people Who will be left from Assyria, As it was for Israel In the day that he came up from the land of Egypt.”
Introduction
There was a young deacon in England and on a Sunday of January of 1850, it was snowing so much that this deacon thought that it was going to be difficult to go to church. But this deacon thought to himself that he was a deacon and if he doesn’t go to church as a deacon then who would go to church? He wore a very thick coat and plowed through the snow, and went to church. When he arrived to church, there were only 12 church members and one 13-year-old boy, and it was announced that the pastor couldn’t come to church due to the winter snowstorm. The people gathered there decided to worship together since they were all there anyways. But the problem was that they didn’t have a person or a pastor to give a sermon to them. Since this deacon was the only layperson there, he decided to give the sermon. He didn’t have any content to give sermon with so he just thought about something and gave a sermon about that, and one of the Biblical scriptures that he shared was Isaiah 45:22 “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.”. The deacon ended up giving the sermon in just like 10 minutes. He never gave a sermon before so he just did his best to give a sermon before the church members; he felt like he didn’t know what he was saying and the worship service felt like complete chaos. But during the sermon, he felt great power and strength when he was giving sermon the last 10 minutes. After he experienced that power and strength, he turned to the young 13-year-old boy and said, “ ‘Young man, you look very miserable.’ Then, lifting up his hands, he shouted, ‘Young man, look to Jesus Christ. Look! Look! Look! You have nothin’ to do but to look and live.’ ” After the sermon ended, the young boy said to the deacon, “After I heard what you said, I started to looking towards Jesus Christ.” At that moment, the darkness that was within his heart and mind slowly disappeared and felt a bright light shining upon him. Later on, he gave this testimony among the church members. Who was this 13-year-old boy? This boy was the famous pastor, Charles Spurgeon. He is known as the king of all preachers because he gave the greatest sermons of all time. So many people gathered during his sermons that the windows cracked, and the building collapsed, and some people even died. Many people were able to meet Jesus after listening to Charles Spurgeon’s sermons. How did this young 13-year-old boy receive so much grace? This child already possessed great faith within his heart. There were times and hardships where even the church officers and pastor couldn’t attend church but this young 13-year-old boy still came to church and had the heart to worship and praise God. God saw this young boy’s heart and poured great grace upon him. Charles Spurgeon had such a passionate heart for God and His word from a young age and received God’s word with all his heart even when a deacon gave a message. When the deacon told Charles to look up to God, Charles thought that he really needed to look up to Jesus. At that moment, he confessed that all darkness fled from his heart. At that moment, he felt the great light of Christ come upon him. This is a very important message. When we receive God’s word, we shouldn’t just think about it but we must accept and receive God’s word in our hearts. Today’s sermon is a very important message. Today’s sermon is about the coming of Jesus and it is proclaimed in the most beautiful way, and this passage is loved by many people. This passage talked about the life of Jesus and how Jesus would come.
1. The Stem of Jesse
1) The prophecy about the birth of Messiah
Verse 1 - The stem was talking about a stem from a large tree. The stem of the tree was cut off and only the remnant, the stump of the tree remained. The stem was referring to Jesus Christ. Jesus was called the Son of David but why was He called the stem of Jesse here? David was known as a famous king but before he was king, he was a mere shepherd. It was prophesied that Jesus was going to be born in an ordinary way and not from a royal family. He was born as the son of a carpenter.
2) The Messiah receives the Holy Spirit
Verse 2 - The great power of the Holy Spirit will come upon the Messiah, Jesus Christ. It was saying that the Holy Spirit will come upon Jesus. Receiving the Holy Spirit means that He was going to be anointed. This means that He will be anointed as the Christ.
Matthew 3:16 “When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.” - Jesus’ baptism started when He received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and was anointed as the Christ. This is a very astounding message here. What kind of Spirit did Jesus receive? There were three spirits. The first was the Spirit of wisdom and understanding. The spirit of wisdom and understanding means that He will be the One who will know the heart and mind of mankind. The moment Jesus saw a demon possessed man, Jesus knew exactly what this man’s problem was and that he needed the gospel right away.
Secondly, the Spirit of counsel and might. This means that Jesus has the power and ability to discern a problem accurately and give an answer to us. There was a man who was mentally ill who was yelling out and no one could help him so the people chained him up, but Jesus appeared before him, gave him an answer, and healed him. This is because Jesus has the power of counseling and might.
Thirdly, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord - The greatest knowledge of all knowledge is knowing Jesus Christ. The knowledge of this world will make you more arrogant and ignorant but when you know more of Jesus, the humbler you become.
Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.” - The greatest knowledge is fearing God. This is knowledge that people of this world cannot understand and relate to. From fearing God, we can experience true humility and thanksgiving.
2. The Nation Ruled by the Messiah
1) The Messiah's reign
Verse 3 - The greatest thing is delighting in the fear of the Lord. What does it mean by delighting? It comes from the basis of deep breathing and breathing from your nose. When you smell something very delightful, this is what it means. This is what it means to smell the great fragrance of Jesus. When you fear the Lord it may sound like you are afraid of Jesus but this is not it at all. We are delighting in Jesus means to fear the Lord. Of course, God has no choice but to be happy when we do this.
Matthew 17:5 “While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, 'This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!' ” - In your heart, when you fear God then you will enjoy and delight the Lord. Then, God will be pleased with you.
Verse 4 - God’s standard is justice and honesty. People of this world may search after other things of the world to base their standards, but God’s standard is based off of God’s word that has its foundation on God’s justice and honesty. We must base our standard off of God’s word. God had the disciples save the pharisees with the word of God.
Verse 5 - From here, the belt of righteousness and faithfulness is referring to the belt that kings would wear. This is talking about royal power. God said that He will rule and reign with righteousness and faithfulness. Mankind had no choice but to face judgment and death but in order to save mankind, Jesus Christ died on the cross for us. He was going out with the girdle with faithfulness and righteousness to save mankind, and broke down Satan, sin, and hell. How did Jesus do that? He did that by the true faithfulness of the cross. This is all part of the reign of Jesus Christ when He came to earth.
2) The Messianic kingdom
Verses 6-9 - There are five pairs of animals and man seen in this passage. You cannot even imagine pairing these animals together, but this was all changed when Jesus Christ died on the cross. This means you will experience complete change through the event of the cross. This was all possible during time of the Garden of Eden but after mankind became corrupted, this harmony completely collapsed. This harmony did occur another time which was during Noah’s ark. In Noah’s ark, all kinds of animals were in the ark, even strong and weak animals were all together. All these animals were all together in the ark, but it was never recorded in the Bible that the strong animals attacked the other animals. How was this possible? God was present in Noah’s ark. When God is with us, anything is possible. How was this fulfilled? This was fulfilled through the cross and when Jesus Christ died on the cross. Why is that? The ark represents the church. When you enter the church, then this is harmony and peace is possible.
Verse 9 - The holy mountain was interpreted by John Calvin as the church. Inside the church, the word of God is proclaimed and remains. Harmony outside of the church, in the world, is in destruction and absolute chaos but inside the church, all harmony and true knowledge is restored and fulfilled. In the word of God, the blessing of waters covering the seas will take place. Then, what kind of ministry takes place in the church?
3. The Banner of the Cross
1) The salvation ministry of the Church
Verse 10 - The banner of Christ will rise. The banner is referring to the cross.
John 3:14???? “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. ” - The staff of the serpent that Moses hung up in the air was Moses referring that Satan’s power will be destroyed on the cross. This is referring to the church. The banner of victory was fulfilled on the cross when Jesus Christ died for us.
Verses 11-16 - The important message here is that God reached out His hand a second time. The first time that God reached out His hand of His covenant was during the Exodus when the Israelites came out of Egypt. Coming out of Assyria and experiencing liberation, none of this actually happened yet when this scripture was written. This was prophesied that people of God will be liberated and return to the church.
Verse 12 - There were so many wars in Judah after King Solomon passed away but people would come inside the church and become one. They would become one with the word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and through the event of the cross. There is nothing in this world that can solve wars and chaos of this world but it is only possible through the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Verse 14 - All of the nations recorded here were nations that tormented Israel. The darkness that plowed Israel, all of that was broken. What does that mean? Through the church, all darkness will be broken.
Verse 15 - God will dry out the sea of Egypt as well as the river of the Ephraim, which will open a pathway for all people to gather and come together.
Verse 16 - The remaining and chosen people of God, God said that He will build a highway for His people. This means that whoever believes in Jesus will be saved. Anyone who calls on the name of Jesus, they will be saved. God is saying all you have to do is come before Him and come to church. Through this highway, you can come to church and return back to God. The highway to the church is also referring to the highway to heaven. As people of God, we are able to enjoy the blessings of God in this world and look towards heaven as we live in this world. That is why it is so important for us to enjoy the blessing of the heavenly throne. Truly enjoy the blessing of the heavenly throne.
2) The blessing of the throne
The messages given to us through the World Remnant Conference (WRC) are so important.
Platform (Genesis 41:38 “And Pharaoh said to his servants, 'Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?' ”) - You need to become a platform first. You need to become the platform for yourself, the world, and the field. It is by enjoying the heavenly throne. You need to hold onto it as yourself. You shouldn’t take the word without much thought but you take it as your own just like Charles Spurgeon
You need to hold onto and listen to the word as your own word. This didn’t just occur for Joseph but Joseph became a platform. He became a platform and enjoyed the heavenly throne that all blessings had no choice but to come to him.
Watchtower (Isaiah 62:7 “And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”) - In order to make the watchtower as your own, you need to make sure you don’t let God rest. In order to become a watchtower, we must constantly enter into continuous prayer. Scheduled prayer is enjoying the heavenly throne. You are holding onto God’s word as your own. You are holding onto it as a blessing. You are taking the pulpit message as the message that God has given to you personally. You are taking the 393 prayer as your own. You are always reading the 393 prayer, that is enjoying 24 hours prayer. Then, thanksgiving will come upon you. Enjoy this blessing.
Antenna (Isaiah 11:10) - Become an antenna. May you receive the blessing of becoming the antenna to save the world. You must communicate with yourself, others, and people of this world. You can communicate by utilizing technology. In order to become an antenna, you must hold onto the word of God. You need to save yourself with the word of God. You need to design the field with the word of God.
Isaiah 11:10 - When you raise the flag before the people, then you will receive the blessing and platform to save all Gentiles. That is the blessing of being an antenna.
Conclusion
Isaiah 60:22 “A little one shall become a thousand, And a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.” - You may say that you are small and weak but don’t be discouraged by these words and thoughts that you have for yourself. Just like I gave the message in the introduction regarding the deacon, this deacon didn’t know how to give a sermon at all. But what this deacon had was the heart to give worship and to praise God. This may seem like a small act of faith that this deacon had and he didn’t hesitate at all to give worship to God but as a result, great blessings of fruit came upon him. Through his sermon, a great young boy was raised, Charles Spurgeon. Through your small act of faith, God will raise it to become a great work and a great fruit.
