하나님의 안식에 들어가는 자(히4:4-9)
서론
제가 어떤 칼럼을 읽었다. 어떤 꼬마가 음료수 자동 판매기에서 콜라를 먹기 위해서 25센트 동전을 집어넣으려고 했다. 그런데 그 동전이 그만 낚시터 난간으로 떨어지고 말았다. 이 아이는 큰 실망에 빠졌다. 처음부터 보고있었던 한 노인이 그 소년에게 이야기했다. “난간 밑으로 내려가서 모래를 파보아라.” 실망에 빠져있던 어린 아이는 그 이야기를 듣고 난간 밑으로 내려갔다. 그런데 얼마 후에 이상한 일이 생겼다. 1달러 35센트가 되는 돈을 찾아냈다. 이 어린 아이는 얼굴에 미소를 가득 짓고 올라왔다. 이 말씀을 보면서 이것이 바로 우리 하나님께서 우리를 향하신 마음이로구나 하는 마음이 들었다. 동전을 준비했던 노인의 마음이 하나님의 마음과 같았다. 하나님께서는 우리에게 항상 무언가 주고싶어하신다. 우리가 실망할 때 무언가를 다시 주고싶어하시는 것이 하나님 마음이다. 어려움을 당했을 때 해결해주고자 하는 것이 하나님의 마음이다. 우리가 성경을 읽으면서도 그 하나님 마음을 발견할 수 있다.
1. 하나님의 안식
1) 성경적 의미
히브리 출신의 기독교인들이 계속 하나님께서 말씀을 주셨음에도 거부하고 마음이 완악해서 하나님께서 예비해놓으신 안식에 들어가지 못하는 안타까움을 볼 수 있다. 그래서 오늘도 계속 말씀 주신 것을 볼 수 있다.
히 4:4 제칠일에 관하여는 어딘가에 이렇게 일렀으되 하나님은 제칠일에 그의 모든 일을 쉬셨다 하였으며
제칠일에 관하여 말씀하시는데 어딘가에 일렀다고 말하고 있다. 이것은 창 2:2에 기록된 말씀을 말한다.
창 2:2 하나님이 그가 하시던 일을 일곱째 날에 마치시니 그가 하시던 모든 일을 그치고 일곱째 날에 안식하시니라
모든 창조일을 마치시고 일곱째 날에 안식하셨다. 그런데 3절 말씀에 이상한 말씀이 나타난다.
창 2:3 하나님이 그 일곱째 날을 복되게 하사 거룩하게 하셨으니—
날을 왜 복되게 하셨는가. 복되게 하시고 거룩하게 하셨다. 바로 이것은 하나님께서 특별히 인간들에게 축복을 주시는 날로 정했다는 것이다. 그 날 예배를 통해서 그들에게 마음껏 은혜를 주시기로 작정하셨다는 것이다. 안식일은 무엇이냐. 예배를 통해서 하나님께서 예비해놓으신 큰 축복을 받는 날이다. 그런데 신 5:15에는 안식일을 다른 의미로 이야기하고 있다.
신 5:15 너는 기억하라 네가 애굽 땅에서 종이 되었더니 네 하나님 여호와가 강한 손과 편 팔로 거기서 너를 인도하여 내었나니 그러므로 네 하나님 여호와가 네게 명령하여 안식일을 지키라 하느니라
처음에는 안식일은 창조의 개념에서 쉬시는 날로 말씀하셨는데 이제는 종된 것에서 해방된 것을 기념하는 날로 하라고 말씀하신다. 안식일을 지키면서 사단의 권세에서 빠져나온 것을 기뻐하면서 하나님께 영광을 돌리라는 말씀이다.
마 12:8 인자는 안식일의 주인이니라 하시니라
안식일 날 드리는 예배는 하나님께 영광을 돌리는 것이다. 여기서 잡아야할 것은 그리스도 안에서 예배를 드리게 될 때 참 안식을 얻는 축복을 받게된다. 여기서 한가지 더 잡아야할 것이 있다. 하나님은 제칠일에 그의 모든 일을 그치고 쉬셨다. 그렇다면 하나님께서 천지창조를 마치시고 낮잠을 주무시러 들어갔다는 말인가? 제가 어떤 책을 보았다. 하나님의 약속이라는 책에 기록된 성경 공부 내용을 보게되었다. 그 내용에 재미있는 것이 있었다. 하나님께서는 천지를 창조하시고 사람을 창조하셨다. 그리고는 심히 기뻐하시면서 안식으로 들어가셨다. 그런데 사단이 인간을 유혹해서 타락을 하게 만들었다. 그래서 인간이 사단의 노예가 되어버렸다. 그것을 보시고 하나님께서는 안식을 중단하시고 인류를 구원하시기 위해서 다시 사역을 시작하셨다고 기록해놓았다. 재미있는 이야기다. 그러나 이것은 인간적인 해석이다. 하나님을 잘 모르고 하는 말이다. 우리 하나님은 전지하신 하나님이다. 모르는 것이 없는, 과거, 현재, 미래를 완벽히 알고계신것이 하나님이다. 못하는 것이 없는 전능하신 하나님이다. 그런데 그런 하나님께서 인간이 타락하는 모습을 보고 놀랐다 하는 것인 이상한 해석이다. 안식하셨다는 말을 잘못 해석한 경우이다. 여기서 잘 잡아야겠다. 창조 후에 안식하셨다는 말씀은 창조를 마치시고 하나님의 영원한 영광 속으로 들어가셨다는 것이다.
2) 영세전의 비밀
롬 16:25 나의 복음과 예수 그리스도를 전파함은 영세 전부터 감추어졌다가
우리가 갖고있는 이 복음과 예수 그리스도는 영세 전부터 감추어져있던 비밀이라는 말씀이다. 인간이 창조되기 이전에 벌써 하나님께서 작정하고 계셨다는 것이다. 그 영세전의 비밀이 무엇인가.
엡 1:4-5 곧 창세 전에 그리스도 안에서 우리를 택하사 우리로 사랑 안에서 그 앞에 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려고 5 그 기쁘신 뜻대로 우리를 예정하사 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 자기의 아들들이 되게 하셨으니
이것은 인간이 창조되기 이전에 이미 그리스도 안에서 모든 것이 예정되어있었다는 것이다. 우리를 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려는 하나님의 계획이 있었다는 것이다. 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 아들들이 되게 하셨다는 것이다. 그래서 그리스도 안에서 하나님의 자녀가 되는 축복을 받게하시기 위해 모든 것을 예정하셨던 것이다. 그래서 우리를 하나님의 자녀로서 하나님의 영원한 안식 속으로 들어가게 하시기 위해서 그러셨던 것이다. 우리가 하나님의 자녀가 된 것은 순식간에 영접을 해서 된 것이 아니라 이미 창세전에 예정하셔서 우리를 하나님의 자녀로 삼기위해 모든 사역을 시작하셨다는 것이다. 그래서 오늘 성경 말씀을 보게되면 참 안식에 들어가기 위한 믿음의 중요성 세가지를 말씀하고 있다.
2. 안식에 들어가는 자
1) 참 안식
히 4:6 그러면 거기에 들어갈 자들이 남아 있거니와 복음 전함을 먼저 받은 자들은 순종하지 아니함으로 말미암아 들어가지 못하였으므로
복음을 이들이 받았음에도 불구하고 홍해에서 세례를 받고 가나안땅에서 율법을 받았음에도 그리스도를 믿지 않음으로 인해 멸망을 받았다는 것이다. 두번째는 7절에서 다윗을 말을 인용하고 있다. 시 95:7-8 말씀을 인용한 것이다.
히 4:7 오랜 후에 다윗의 글에 다시 어느 날을 정하여 오늘이라고 미리 이같이 일렀으되 오늘 너희가 그의 음성을 듣거든 너희 마음을 완고하게 하지 말라 하였나니
다윗은 백성들에게 이야기하기를 우리가 할례를 받은 선민이 아니냐, 그렇다고 하더라도 우리 각자가 예수 그리스도를 믿지 아니하면 똑같이 멸망을 당한다는 것이다. 왜 그런가.
히 4:8 만일 여호수아가 그들에게 안식을 주었더라면 그 후에 다른 날을 말씀하지 아니하셨으리라
이스라엘 백성들이 가나안에 들어감으로 말미암아 안식이 완성이 되었다면 다윗은 오늘 너희 마음을 완고하게 하지 말라 이야기할 이유가 없었다는 것이다. 가나안 땅에 사는 우리라 하더라도 우리가 예수 그리스도를 믿어야만이 구원을 받는다는 것을 이야기하고 있는 것이다. 그리스도를 믿는 것이 너무나 중요한 것이다.
히 4:9 그런즉 안식할 때가 하나님의 백성에게 남아 있도다
구약에 있어서나 신약에 있어서나 누구에게나 하나님이 백성이 되고 영원한 안식에 들어가기 위해서는 안식일의 주인이신 예수님을 붙들어야한다는 것이다. 그리스도를 믿지 아니하면 안된다는 것을 이야기하고 있다. 지금 유대인들도 아브라함의 후손이지만 예수 그리스도를 믿지 아니하면 구원을 받지 못한다는 것이다. 그러면 예수님께서 안식일에 주인이라고 하신 말씀은 무엇인가.
2) 안식일의 주인
막 2:27-28 또 이르시되 안식일이 사람을 위하여 있는 것이요 사람이 안식일을 위하여 있는 것이 아니니28 이러므로 인자는 안식일에도 주인이니라
안식일이 사람을 위해서 있다는 것이다. 안식일에 있는 예배를 통해서 하나님께서 큰 축복을 성도들에게 예비하셨다는 것이다. 안식일의 존재의 이유이다. 인자는 안식의 주인이니라. 그 축복을 주는 주인공이 바로 나 예수 그리스도라는 것이다. 예수께서 공생애 기간동안에 안식일 날에 많은 사역을 하신 것을 볼 수 있다. 대표적인 예를 세가지 들겠다.
눅 4:16 예수께서 그 자라나신 곳 나사렛에 이르사 안식일에 늘 하시던 대로 회당에 들어가사 성경을 읽으려고 서시매
예수님께서 안식일날에 날마다 늘 하시던 것이 말씀을 주신 것이었다. 이 안식이라는 것은 예배를 통해서 말씀을 받는 날이다. 하늘로 부터 내리는 생명의 양식을 받는 날이 안식일이다. 우리가 힘을 얻고 나가서 승리할 수 있게 된다.
요 5:14 그 후에 예수께서 성전에서 그 사람을 만나 이르시되 보라 네가 나았으니 더 심한 것이 생기지 않게 다시는 죄를 범하지 말라 하시니
이것은 베데스다 못가에서 38년 동안 드러누워 일어나지 못한 환자에게 하신 말씀이다. 물이 동하면 천사가 온 것인데 얼른 물속에 들어가면 낫는데 나는 아파서 들어가지를 못해서 이 병이 치료가 되지 않습니다 하고 예수님께 말했다. 그 때 예수님께서는 일어나 걸어가라고 말씀하신다. 그리고는 더 심한 것이 생기지 않게 다시는 죄를 범하지 말라 하셨다. 말씀을 통해서 죄가 발견되고 문제가 해결되는 축복의 역사가 안식일에 일어난 것이다.
눅 13:16 그러면 열여덟 해 동안 사탄에게 매인 바 된 이 아브라함의 딸을 안식일에 이 매임에서 푸는 것이 합당하지 아니하냐
회당에서 예배를 드리는 가운데 사단에게 붙잡혔던 딸이 구원받는 내용이다. 예배를 통해서 붙잡혀있던 흑암의 권세에서 빠져나오는 것을 나타낸다. 그리스도의 사역을 안식일에 교회에서 이루시는 것을 볼 수 있다. 우리가 교회에서 예배를 드리는 것은 그냥 말씀만 듣는 것이 아니라 실질적으로 흑암이 무너지고 힘을 얻고 죄문제가 해결되는 축복을 받는 시간이 예배의 시간인 것이다. 이 모든 것을 이루시는 분이 바로 예수 그리스도시다. 모든 문제의 키는 바로 그리스도시다.
3. 미리 보는 자
1) 나의 언약
이번에 우리 WRC메세지를 들었다. 첫번째 받은 것이 미리 보는 자, covenant에 대해서 들었다. 우리가 나의 언약을 잡는 것이 무엇인가. 나의 언약을 잡는다는 것은 내가 오직 그리스도가 되느냐 안되느냐에 따라서 모든 것이 결정되는 것이다. 오직 예수가 될 때 나의 언약이 비로소 빛을 발하기 시작한다. 예를 들겠다. 미리 보는 자는 성공한다고 했다. 미리 볼 수 있는 사람들은 다 성공도 하고 리더가 된다. 불신자들은 미래를 몰라서 점쟁이한테 찾아간다. 점쟁이들이 하는 이야기를 듣고 사업도 하고 일을 벌인다. 성공을 할 수도 있긴있다. 그러나 그 성공은 참 성공이 아니라 마귀의 종노릇하고 영적으로 시달림을 받게되는 결과가 생긴다. 그러므로 나의 언약을 분명히 잡아야한다. 요셉은 어떤 언약을 잡았는가. 하나님이 주신 꿈을 언약으로 잡았다.
창 37:9 요셉이 다시 꿈을 꾸고 그 형들에게 고하여 가로되 내가 또 꿈을 꾼즉 해와 달과 열 한 별이 내게 절하더이다 하니라
해와 달과 별이 절하는 것을 자기 언약으로 잡았다. 앞으로 이런 일이 생기겠구나 하고 언약을 잡았다. 모세는 어땠는가. 어릴 때 어머니가 주시는 언약의 메세지를 잡았다. 이 메세지가 나중에 그대로 성취되었다.
출 3:8 내가 내려가서 그들을 애굽인의 손에서 건져내고 그들을 그 땅에서 인도하여 아름답고 광대한 땅, 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅 곧 가나안 족속, 헷 족속, 아모리 족속, 브리스 족속, 히위 족속, 여부스 족속의 지방에 데려가려 하노라
그 주신 메세지대로 하나님께서 나타나셔서 내가 내 백성을 가나안으로 인도하리라는 말씀을 듣게된다. 그러니까 이 메세지는 모세가 어릴 때 부터 잡았던 메세지이다. 메세지를 나의 언약으로 잡은 사람들에게는 반드시 응답이 온다. 나의 언약을 잡았는가. 그렇다면 내 자신과 가문과 시대가 변화대는 역사가 나를 통해 나타날 줄로 믿는다. 왜 그런가. 내가 잡은 언약 그대로 반드시 성취되기 때문이다.
2) 절대 주권
그러면 나의 언약은 어떻게 잡는가. 내가 가장 좋아하는 것에서 찾으시기 바란다. 내가 제일 잘하는 것을 잡으시기 바란다. 또 남들이 안하는 것, 그러나 블루오션에서 찾으시기 바란다. 그 기도하는 가운데 내 언약을 붙잡으시기 바란다. 어마어마한 역사가 나타나게 될 것이다. 마치 요셉과 모세와 같은 축복의 역사가 나타나게될 줄로 믿는다. 아무 도움도 없다고 할지라고 하나님께서 인도하심으로서 모든 문제가 해결될 것이다. 바로 내가 잡은 그 언약을 하나님의 절대 주권을 갖고 이루어나가시는 것이다. 승리하시기 바란다. 요셉은 노예로 잡혀가도 감옥소에 들어가도 언약으로 승리했다. 모세는 언약을 붙잡고 살해도 했었다. 미디안으로 도망도 다녔다. 하나님께서 그들의 언약을 그대로 이루셨다. 여기서 우리가 붙잡을 것이 무엇인가. 문제, 갈등이 왔다면 전혀 걱정 마시기 바란다. 하나님께서 나에게 주신 언약이다. 미래를 보는 눈이 생기는 것이다. 나에게 생기는 모든 것은 축복의 언약으로 바뀌게 될 줄로 믿는다. 이 축복 누리시기 바란다.
결론
사 40:31 오직 여호와를 앙망하는 자는 새 힘을 얻으리니 독수리가 날개치며 올라감 같을 것이요 달음박질하여도 곤비하지 아니하겠고 걸어가도 피곤하지 아니하리로다
오직 여호와만 앙망하시기 바란다. 하나님을 앙망하고 오직 예수, 그리스도가 될 때 미리보는 눈이 생기기 시작한다. 내 인생을 내 삶을 가장 축복된 길로 인도하실 줄로 믿는다. 오직 예수 붙드시기 바란다.
Those Who Enter Into God's Rest (Hebrews 4:4-9)

“ 4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: 'And God rested on the seventh day from all His works'; 5 and again in this place: 'They shall not enter My rest.' 6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, 7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, 'Today,' after such a long time, as it has been said: 'Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.' 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. ”
Introduction
I read a news article and there was one child who entered a $0.25 coin to get a coke from a vending machine (back then, it was only $0.25) but something went wrong. The child lost his coin and it fell down a rail but an old man saw this and told the young child to go look under the rail to look for the coin. The young child who became disappointed after he dropped the coin listened to the words of the old man and searched for his coin but something interesting happened. The young child was able to find $1.35 when he looked down there and when he found this amount of money, he was so happy and started smiling. When I read this article, I thought about how this is the kind of heart that God has for us. The old man who told the young child about the money and prepared the money, I am sure the same heart that this old man had is the same heart that God has for us. God always wants to give us something. When we are disappointed, God always has the heart to give us something good and better. When we face hardships, God always has the heart to want to solve our problems and give us answers. When we read the Bible, we can discover God’s heart. We continued to look over the scriptures regarding the book of Hebrews and we can see that God continued to give His Word to His people but they continued to ignore Him and failed to enter into complete rest. That is why we can see through today’s scripture that God continued to give His Word to His people.
1. God's Rest
1) The biblical meaning
Verse 4 - On the 7th day, God rested. This was also recorded in the book of Genesis. God completed all of His work on the 6th day and rested on the 7th day. God completed all of His works of creation and rested on the 7th day as seen in Genesis 2:2-3 (“And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.”).
Genesis 2:3 - Why would God bless the 7th day? It said in the scriptures that God blessed the 7th day and blessed it. What does it mean that He blessed it? This means that God designated the 7th day to become a day of blessings for mankind. God designated this day of blessings so that He can give us His blessings on that day. God designated the Sabbath day, the 7th day so that through worship, God can pour down His blessings upon us. The Sabbath day is a day where we receive the blessings that God has prepared for us.
Deuteronomy 5:15 (“And remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.”) - The Sabbath day was designated to be a day of resting but God changed it to make the Sabbath day a day to remember the Exodus and the freedom that God granted His people from slavery. What does this mean? When you keep the Sabbath day, you are celebrating and enjoying the fact that God has broken us from the powers of Satan and we are able to glorify God.
Matthew 12:8 (“For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”) - The give worship on the Sabbath means it is a day where you will give glory and praise to God. You need to hold onto the fact that when you give worship to God inside of Christ then you can enjoy the blessings of the Sabbath day. What you need to understand from this is that on the 7th day, God rested from His work after He finished completing His works of creation. Did God rest by taking a nap? I read a book called “God’s Promise” and there was some interesting content within that book. God created heaven and earth and mankind, and it was written that He was very pleased and rested. God rested but Satan ended up tempting mankind and made mankind fall into destruction, which caused mankind to become slaves to Satan. The book states that when God saw this, He stopped the Sabbath day and restarted His Work to save mankind. This is a very interesting perspective. But, this is a human interpretation. They made this interpretation without knowing who God really is. God is the almighty. God is a God who knows everything. There is nothing that He can’t do because He is almighty. Then, do you think that this God would have been surprised when mankind became tempted by Satan? There is a misinterpretation regarding God’s resting. The word regarding the fact that God rested means that He entered into a place of eternal glory.
2) The mystery for long ages past
Romans 16:25 (“Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began.”) - In other words, the gospel and Jesus Christ were mysteries that were kept hidden for long ages past and before the world began. Before the world and mankind were created, God already prepared the gospel and Jesus Christ. What is this mystery kept hidden for long ages past?
Ephesians 1:4-5 (“Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.”) - Before mankind was created, God already prepared everything for us in Jesus Christ. In order to make us complete again, God prepared everything in advance. That is why God prepared us His one and only Son, Jesus Christ. Through Jesus Christ, God prepared everything for us and prepared salvation for us as children of God. That is why God allowed us to enter into eternal salvation and rest through Jesus Christ, His Son. The fact that we have become children of God was not a mere coincidence but God had already prepared everything in advance and chosen us before time and before creation.
2. Those Who Enter the Rest
1) True rest
In order for us to enter into complete rest, there are three things that we need to keep in mind.
Verses 6-9 - First, the fact that the Israelites already received the gospel and liberation from the Red Sea but they still couldn’t believe and were not able to enter into complete rest and experienced failure in the end. Secondly, verse 7 speaks about what was written in Psalms 95:7-8 (“For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: 8 'Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the wilderness.' ”). In other words, David reminded his people that they were the circumcised people of God and the chosen people of God, and that if they don’t believe, then they will face destruction in the end.
Why were the Israelites not able to believe? It explains the reason in verse 8. In other words, if the Israelites were able to enter into the land of Canaan and experience complete rest, then there was no reason for them to harden their hearts as David said in Psalms 95:7-8. What this is saying is even if they entered into the land of Canaan, in order to experience true salvation and complete rest, they must enter into Jesus Christ. That is why believing in Jesus Christ is so important.
Verse 9 - Whether it was in the Old and New Testament, if you became children of God and entered into complete rest, then you needed to hold onto Jesus Christ always. If you can’t believe in Jesus Christ, then that won’t work out. The Jews were descendants of Abraham but if they didn’t believe in Jesus Christ, then they will not receive salvation. God emphasized that He is the Lord of the Sabbath but what does this mean?
2) The Lord of Sabbath
Mark 2:27-28 (“And He said to them, 'The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. 28 Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.' ”) - The Sabbath was made for mankind. Through Sabbath, God made it so that we can give worship to God and receive the blessings that God prepared for us. That is the core content of the Sabbath day.
Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Sabbath. The Lord of the Sabbath is Jesus Christ. While Jesus Christ was completing His earthly ministries, He showed us the importance of the Sabbath.
An example is seen in Luke 4:16 (“So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.”) - On the days of the Sabbath, Jesus Christ always entered into synagogues and gave the Word of God. Sabbath means that we are receiving God’s Word and blessings on the Sabbath day. The Sabbath day is when we receive God’s Words and strength to go out into the world and be victorious.
John 5:14 (“Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, 'See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.' ”) - This was the message that Jesus Christ gave to the crippled man who was crippled for 38 years near the pool of Bethesda. This crippled man would be healed immediately if he entered into the pool of Bethesda but since he was crippled and could not walk, he told Jesus that he could not enter into the pool and would not be healed. But at that moment, Jesus told the man to get up and walk. What Jesus said afterwards to him after he was healed was for him to not to sin or worse things will happen to him. Through the Sabbath, this is a day where you can discover your sins and see your sins be forgiven through Jesus Christ.
Luke 13:16 (“So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?”) - While giving worship on the Sabbath day, a daughter that was bound by Satan was saved. Through worship, the darkness that was binding the girl was broken down. You can see here the ministry of Jesus Christ being fulfilled and at work on the Sabbath day in the synagogue, inside the temple of God. When we give worship to God, we are not just giving worship but we are receiving strength, darkness is bound, and salvation is granted to us. God is the one who is performing all of these works on the Sabbath day and during times of worship. The key to all of our problems is Jesus Christ alone.
3. Those Who See Ahead of Time
1) Your own covenant
We received the messages from WRC. What is my covenant? Holding onto your covenant means that you are allowing yourself to hold onto Jesus Christ as your Christ. When you are able to confess of only Christ, then the light is able to shine upon your life. For an example, the one who is able to see in advance, you will be able to succeed. Those who were able to see things in advance, they will succeed. In order to see the future, many people visit fortune tellers and they would listen to what the fortune tellers tell them and do whatever the fortune teller tells them to do. And, I am sure they were able to gain some success from listening to what they had to say but that success will only be temporary and that success was brought to them by Satan. That is why you must hold onto your covenant.
How did Joseph hold onto his covenant? He held onto the dream that God gave to him as his covenant which was the dream in Genesis 37:9 (“Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. 'Listen,' he said, 'I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.' ”).
What about Moses? He held onto the covenant that his mother gave to him. The message was fulfilled exactly as it was prophesied to him.
Exodus 3:8 (“So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.”) - He received this message from his mother ever since he was young. Those who held onto their covenant, they were successful.
Do you have a covenant? If you do, then you will experience the works of changing your family line. Why is that? This is because the covenant that you are holding onto will absolutely be fulfilled. Then, how can you hold onto your covenant? You can find your covenant through things that you love and are most passionate about. You need to be good at this and be different from what others are holding onto. You need to receive the skills and do things that no one can else do. Within that, hold onto and find your covenant. When you're able to find your covenant then great works will take place. Just like Joseph, the same works that took place for him will come upon you. No matter how poor or lacking you may be, God will continue to guide you towards tremendous answers. God will continue to work through you with the covenant that you hold onto. Truly be victorious.
2) Absolute sovereignty
Joseph was enslaved and put into prison but he continued to hold onto his covenant. Moses was able to hold onto the covenant and was even a murderer , and fled to Midian but he continued to hold onto the covenant and God was able to fulfill the covenant through him in the end. Do you have problems? Do not worry about it. There is God’s covenant within that and you need to see the future within that. If you are able to realize and see this, then all things will change into blessings. May you enjoy the blessings within this.
Conclusion
Hold onto Isaiah 40:31 (“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”) - May you wait upon only the Lord. Those who wait upon the Lord and hold onto only Christ, then God will give you strength. Then, God will lead you to the most blessed place. Hold onto only Jesus Christ. May you receive blessings in the name of Jesus Christ.
