“영광을 받으시는 하나님”

1 야곱아 너를 창조하신 여호와께서 지금 말씀하시느니라 이스라엘아 너를 지으신 이가 말씀하시느니라 너는 두려워하지 말라 내가 너를 구속하였고 내가 너를 지명하여 불렀나니 너는 내 것이라 2 네가 물 가운데로 지날 때에 내가 너와 함께 할 것이라 강을 건널 때에 물이 너를 침몰하지 못할 것이며 네가 불 가운데로 지날 때에 타지도 아니할 것이요 불꽃이 너를 사르지도 못하리니 3 대저 나는 여호와 네 하나님이요 이스라엘의 거룩한 이요 네 구원자임이라 내가 애굽을 너의 속량물로, 구스와 스바를 너를 대신하여 주었노라 4 네가 내 눈에 보배롭고 존귀하며 내가 너를 사랑하였은즉 내가 네 대신 사람들을 내어 주며 백성들이 네 생명을 대신하리니 5 두려워하지 말라 내가 너와 함께 하여 네 자손을 동쪽에서부터 오게 하며 서쪽에서부터 너를 모을 것이며 6 내가 북쪽에게 이르기를 내놓으라 남쪽에게 이르기를 가두어 두지 말라 내 아들들을 먼 곳에서 이끌며 내 딸들을 땅 끝에서 오게 하며 7 내 이름으로 불려지는 모든 자 곧 내가 내 영광을 위하여 창조한 자를 오게 하라 그를 내가 지었고 그를 내가 만들었느니라 8 눈이 있어도 보지 못하고 귀가 있어도 듣지 못하는 백성을 이끌어 내라 9 열방은 모였으며 민족들이 회집하였는데 그들 중에 누가 이 일을 알려 주며 이전 일들을 우리에게 들려 주겠느냐 그들이 그들의 증인을 세워서 자기들의 옳음을 나타내고 듣는 자들이 옳다고 말하게 하여 보라 10 나 여호와가 말하노라 너희는 나의 증인, 나의 종으로 택함을 입었나니 이는 너희가 나를 알고 믿으며 내가 그인 줄 깨닫게 하려 함이라 나의 전에 지음을 받은 신이 없었느니라 나의 후에도 없으리라 11 나 곧 나는 여호와라 나 외에 구원자가 없느니라 12 내가 알려 주었으며 구원하였으며 보였고 너희 중에 다른 신이 없었나니 그러므로 너희는 나의 증인이요 나는 하나님이니라 여호와의 말씀이니라 13 과연 태초로부터 나는 그이니 내 손에서 건질 자가 없도다 내가 행하리니 누가 막으리요. 서론
이번에 1부 예배에서 간증을 들었다. 어린아이가 길을 잃었다고 한다. 그런데 그 아이는 3-4살 밖에 되지 않아 스스로 판단이 불가 했다. 온 식구들이 나가 그 아이를 찾아다녔다. 그날따라 또 비가 억세게 내렸다. 그 빗속에 식구들이 마을 곳곳에 흩어져 아이를 찾는데 아무리 찾아도 찾을수가 없는거다. 그래서 경찰서에 가서 신고를 하게 되었다. 나중에 보니 그 아이는 엉뚱하게 마을이 아닌 산속에 돌아다닌것이다. 비도 오고 산속으로 깊이 들어가니 찾을수가 없는것이다. 아이가 겁이나 울기 시작했다. 다행히 참 뜻밖에 그 근처를 지나던 사람이 있었다. 비가 억수로 쏱아지는데 어디선가 아이 울음이 들린것이다. 잘못들었나 싶다가 다시 자세히 들어보니 분명히 아이의 울음소리였다. 한번 가보자 해서 소리가 나는곳으로 따라갔다. 마침 거기에 아이가 울고있는것을 발견했다. 그 아이는 자신의 집 주소도 아무것도 모르기때문에 그 사람이 아이를 데리고 경찰소에 데려갔다. 그렇게 아이가 가족을 만날수가있었다. 이것을 보고 본문에 하나님을 섬기고 축복을 받았음에도 영적 무지로 인해 이상한 행동을 했던 이스라엘이 생각났다. 중요한것은, 영적으로 무지한 사람들은 판단 자체가 불가능한 상태라는것이다. 아무리 학식이 높고 박사 학위가 여러개이고 지위가 아무리 높아도 영적으로 무지한 사람은 이 어린아이와 같다. 그래서 이러한 사람들이 사는것을 보면 참 많이 헤메인다. 죽음으로 이르는지도 모르고 빗속에 산속 깊은곳으로 들어가는 아이처럼 말이다.
1.구속하시는 하나님 God the Redeemer
1) 두려워하지 말라 Do not fear
사 Isaiah 42:25
사 Isaiah 43:1
지난 시간에 이스라엘 백성들이 그러한 상태였다 성경이 기록한것을 보았다. 오늘 말씀보면 분위기가 바뀌는 모습이다. 1절, “야곱아 너를 창조하신 여호와께서 지금 말씀하시느니라 이스라엘아 너를 지으신 이가 말씀하시느니라 너는 두려워하지 말라 내가 너를 구속하였고 내가 너를 지명하여 불렀나니 너는 내 것이라”. 그러한 상황 가운데 두려워 하지 말라 하며 이스라엘 백성에게 말씀하시는것이다. 우리가 다시한번 지난시간 사 42:25 말씀 보게 되면 이들의 상황이 어떠했는지 알수있다, “그러므로 여호와께서 맹렬한 진노와 전쟁의 위력을 이스라엘에게 쏟아 부으시매 그 사방에서 불타오르나 깨닫지 못하며 몸이 타나 마음에 두지 아니하는도다.” 하나님 떠난 이들에게 맹렬히 진노하시며 전쟁통해 수 많은 사람이 죽고 마을이 타도록 두셨다. 그런데도 불구하고 이들은 이러한 재앙과 문제가 왜 오는지를 전혀 모른것이다. 아무리 재앙을 내리고 깨달으라 치셔도 전혀 무감각한, 마치 시체같은 상태였던것이다. 그러니까 지난 시간 말씀처럼, 죄에 각인된 사람들의 모습이 얼마나 위험한가를 알수있다. 죄에 깊이 각인 되면 희망과 소망이 전혀 없다. 오늘 말씀 보니 전혀 소망이 없는 사람들을 보며 주님께서 “두려워말라" 하시며 “야곱아 너를 창조하신 여호와께서 지금 말씀하시느니라 이스라엘아 너를 지으신 이가 말씀하시느니라” 말씀 하신다. 여기에 야곱과 이스라엘이라는 두 이름이 나온다. 야곱은 아버지를 속이고 형의 축복권을 도적질 한 사람의 이름이다. 정말 나쁜 사람의 이름이었다. 그 형 에서가 화가 나서 야곱이 돌아온단 소식을 듣고 300명을 데리고 와서 20년을 기다렸다. 야곱이 그 소식을 듣고 벌벌 떨며 죽을 각오로 하나님께 나아가 기도하기 시작했다. 얼마나 죽을 각오를 했는지 뼈가 탈골된것도 모른채 살려달라 간구했다. 하나님께서 간구를 들으시고 네 이름이 뭐냐 물으셨다. 그에 그가 야곱이라 대답했다. 그것을 들으시고 이제 네 이름을 이스라엘이라 하라 하며 이름을 바꾸게 하신다. 최고의 응답 주신것이다. 이스라엘 이라는 이름은 하나님과 겨루어서 이기겠다 하는 뜻이다. 그 말은, 네가 하나님을 이겼으니 앞으로 세상에 두려워 할 자가 없다 말씀하시는것이다. 그러니까 야곱을 하나님이 당신이 쓰실 이스라엘로 만드신것이다. “야곱아 너를 창조하신 여호와께서 지금 말씀하시느니라 이스라엘아 너를 지으신 이가 말씀하시느니라”. 그러면서, “너는 두려워하지 말라 내가 너를 구속하였고 내가 너를 지명하여 불렀나니 너는 내 것이라”라고 말씀 하셨다. 여기서 구속했다는 말에 너를 위해 댓가를 지불했다 라는 의미가 있다. 이스라엘 백성들 위하여 댓가를 지불했다는것은 포로로 잡혀가 포로가 댓가를 지불한 상황이 아니다. 그것은 죄에 대한 열매가 포로이며 징벌이지 죄악을 씻어주는것은 대속의 댓가를 지불해야하는것이다. 사람들이 죄를 짓고 그 고통속에 들어가 어려움속에 살고있다. 그 어려움과 고통, 저주속에 살아간다고 그 죄가 없어지지 않는다. 그것은 죄의 열매일 뿐이지 댓가는 아닌것이다. 노예에서 해방되기 위해서는 댓가를 지불해야만 하는것이다. 하나님께서는 너를 댓가를 치르고 구원하겠다 하시는것이다. 바로 우리 인간을 위해 댓가를 치르실 그리스도를 상징하시는것이다. 왜 그런가, 바로 우리를 지명해서 불렀기 때문이다. 그 뜻은 그들이 잘해서가 아닌 은혜로 구원받았다는 뜻이다. 은혜때문에 하나님의 것이 된것이다. 우리도 마찬가지다 우리의 구원도 우리의 행위 때문이 아닌 하나님의 놀라우신 은혜 덕이다. 우리는 겸손히 하나님께 감사해야한다. 하나님께서 구속하신 모습을 보여주시며 2절에 말씀하신다, “네가 물 가운데로 지날 때에 내가 너와 함께 할 것이라 강을 건널 때에 물이 너를 침몰하지 못할 것이며 네가 불 가운데로 지날 때에 타지도 아니할 것이요 불꽃이 너를 사르지도 못하리니”. 이것은 무엇을 상징하나. 너희가 앞으로 포로로 잡혀 어려움을 당하게 될것임을 상징한다. 엄청난 죽음의 위기에 빠지게 될것이라는것이다. 불같이 살 소망이 없는 위기속에 처할것이라는것이다. 그 가운데 있다해도 절대 걱정하지 마라 망하지 않을것이다 말씀하시는것이다.
2) 너는 보배롭고 존귀한 자 You are precious and honored
사 Isaiah 43:2-4
그 이유가 3절에 나온다, “대저 나는 여호와 네 하나님이요 이스라엘의 거룩한 이요 네 구원자임이라 내가 애굽을 너의 속량물로, 구스와 스바를 너를 대신하여 주었노라”. 놀라운 말씀이다. 너를 절대 망하게 하지 않을 자가 나 바로 여호와 하나님 이다 라는 말씀이다. 너희들이 고통을 대신할 대속물을 내가 주겠다 하며 그 대속물의 내용이 나온다, “내가 애굽을 너의 속량물로, 구스와 스바를 너를 대신하여 주었노라”. 대속물로 나라를 주겠다 하셨는데 이것이 실질적으로 역사적으로 이루어졌다. 페르시야에 있는 고레스가 바벨론을 무너뜨려 이스라엘 백성들을 해방시키게된다. 하나님께서는 자기 백성을 살리게 페르시아를 축복하신다. 애굽과 구스, 스바를 근처 아프리카 모든 나라를 점령하게끔 도와주신다. 이스라엘을 살린 페르시아 이 나라를 하나님께서 200년동안 찬란한 시간을 허락하신다. 그 이유가 4절에 나온다, “네가 내 눈에 보배롭고 존귀하며 내가 너를 사랑하였은즉 내가 네 대신 사람들을 내어 주며 백성들이 네 생명을 대신하리니”. 이 말씀 으로 하나님께서 얼마나 당신의 자녀를 사랑하시는지 가늠할수 있겠나. 보배롭고 존귀한 이 존재가 바로 우리이다. 이스라엘 백성들이 하나님의 자녀니 당신의 축복 주시겠다 하는것이다. 놀라운 말씀이다, “내가 네 대신 사람들을 내어 주며 백성들이 네 생명을 대신하리니” 여러분 세우기 위해 다른 사람을 희생 시킬수도 있다. 여러분들이 너무나도 귀하기때문에 그렇다. 유월절을 기억하시기 바란다. 이스라엘 백성들을 애굽에서 구원해 내기 위해 애굽의 모든 장자를 거두어가셨다. 바로 그 말씀이다. 내가 네 대신 사람을 내어주고 백성들이 네 생명을 대신한다는 말이다. 이것은 앞으로도 여러분 주위에서도 이루어질수 있는 사실이다. 그 이유가 뭔가. 하나님 눈에는 여러분들이 너무나도 존귀한 존재이기 때문이다. 그 어떤것과도 여러분들과 바꿀수 있는것이 없다.
2. 주관하시는 하나님 God who reigns
1) 영광을 위해 창조 Everyone whom I created for my glory
사 Isaiah 43:5-7
5절에 이어서 말씀하신다, “두려워하지 말라 내가 너와 함께 하여 네 자손을 동쪽에서부터 오게 하며 서쪽에서부터 너를 모을 것이며”. 이것도 BC 538년에 고레스 통해 성취된다. 역사적으로는 고레스가 점령 한것 같지만 말씀 보니 내가 오게 하겠다 되어있다. 하나님께서 하신다는 말이다. 6절, “내가 북쪽에게 이르기를 내놓으라 남쪽에게 이르기를 가두어 두지 말라 내 아들들을 먼 곳에서 이끌며 내 딸들을 땅 끝에서 오게 하며”. 온 세계 나라를 통치하시는 이가 하나님 되심을 나타내는것이다. 동서남북에 흩어진 모든 이스라엘 백성들을 가둬두지 말고 내놓아라 하나님께서 명령 하시는것이다. 여기 내 아들 이라고 이야기하고 딸들이라 이야기했다. 놀라운 축복 가운데 있는것이다. 7절 말씀 보면, “내 이름으로 불려지는 모든 자 곧 내가 내 영광을 위하여 창조한 자를 오게 하라 그를 내가 지었고 그를 내가 만들었느니라”. 창조의 목적이 뭔가. 하나님께서 내 영광을 위하여 라고 하셨다. 그의 부르신 목적은 하나님의 영광을 위해서이다. 하나님께서 영광 받으시는것은 당신의 자녀들이 모이는것 자체 만으로도 영광 받으신다. 모여서 뭔가, 하나님께 예배 드리고 영광돌리는것 자체를 기뻐하신다. 그래서 동서남북에 흩어진 당신의 백성들을 다 모으시는것이다. 모든 민족이 구원받게 하기 위해 흩어진 이들을 모으실것이다. 그것을 보면서 하나님이 영광 받으시는것, 그것을 기뻐하시는것이다. 6절에 내 아들과 내 딸들 이라 나온다. 우리가 하나님의 아들 딸 되는 자격이 뭔가, 바로 하나님의 은혜이다. 그 은혜로만 우리가 자녀가 된것이다. 하나님의 자녀들이 가는 곳이 어디인가. 이것 생각할때마다 감사하다, 바로 천국이다. 제가 TV 에서 봤는데 김지석이라는 한국 배우가 다른 배우들과 무당집에 갔다고 한다. 유재석도 있고 다른 연예인도 있는데 너는 어떻게 되고 너는 이렇게 될거야 하며 장래의 일을 말했다. 그런데 김지석이라는 배우를 보더니 니 이마에는 십자가가 있다고 하는것이다. 그러니까 옆에있던 사람들이 전부다 이마를 쳐다봤다. 그에 김지석이 아버지가 하나님 믿어서 그런것 같다 했다. 그것을 보며, 같이 간 많은 사람들 중에 오직 그 한명이 구원받았구나 생각되었다. 그 사람만 천국에 가겠구나 싶었다. 여러분도 이러한 축복 소유한줄 믿는다.
2) 나의 증인이 되라 You are my witnesses
사 Isaiah 43:8-13
8절, “눈이 있어도 보지 못하고 귀가 있어도 듣지 못하는 백성을 이끌어 내라” 영적으로 무지한 내 백성, 그들을 이끌어내라 이 말이다. 9절에 귀한 말씀 하신다, “열방은 모였으며 민족들이 회집 하였는데 그들 중에 누가 이 일을 알려 주며 이전 일들을 우리에게 들려 주겠느냐 그들이 그들의 증인을 세워서 자기들의 옳음을 나타내고 듣는 자들이 옳다고 말하게 하여 보라”. 많은 백성들 만방에서 돌아오고 모든 민족이 구원 받을텐데, 그 사람들에게 하나님의 살아계심을 증거할 사람이 있어야지 않나. 그런데 그런 증인이 없는것이다. 9절, “그들이 그들의 증인을 세워서 자기들의 옳음을 나타내고 듣는 자들이 옳다고 말하게 하여 보라” 아무도 증거할 자가 없는것이다. 영적으로 무지한 백성들이 가서 하나님을 증거할 메시지가 없는것이다. 10절에 더 놀라운 말씀 하신다, “ 나 여호와가 말하노라 너희는 나의 증인, 나의 종으로 택함을 입었나니 이는 너희가 나를 알고 믿으며 내가 그인 줄 깨닫게 하려 함이라”. 나 여호와 하나님, 창조주가 말하노라 선포하시는것이다. 영적으로 무지하고 전혀 변화가 없는 백성들을 향해 하시는 말씀이다, “ 나 여호와가 말하노라 너희는 나의 증인, 나의 종으로 택함을 입었나니” 만민을 구원하기 위해 지음 받은 백성으로 너희를 불렀으니 이제 다시 증인으로 너희를 세우겠다, 너희들을 깨닫게 해 너희를 쓰겠다 하시는것이다. 그러면서 11절에 말씀하신다, “ 나 여호와가 말하노라 너희는 나의 증인, 나의 종으로 택함을 입었나니” 오직 나를 통해 구원 받을수 있다, 나를 통해 구속사역을 이뤄나가도록 하겠다 하는것이다. 영적 무지한 자들 가운데 사도들 12명과 70인 제자를 세운것을 볼수있다. 바리새인, 사두개인 다 예수님 부인하고 배척했음에도 숨겨두고 예비된 제자가 있던것이다. 하나님의 구속사역은 반드시 성취됨을 말한다. 13절, “과연 태초로부터 나는 그이니 내 손에서 건질 자가 없도다 내가 행하리니 누가 막으리요.” 나는 그 이니 내 손에서 건질 자가 없도다 – 반드시 심판이 있을것이라는 말이다. “내가 행하리니 누가 막으리” 반드시 흑암은 무너지고 그리스도는 오실거라는 말이다. 반드시 만민을 구원하는 역사가 있을것임을 말하는것이다. 여러분들이 그 일에 증인 될줄을 믿는다.
3. 치유하시는 하나님 God who healed
1) 긴급한 소식 The urgent message
나의 운명을 바꾸는 영적 DNA(요4:23) Spiritual DNA that changes your fate (John 4:23)
나의 현장을 바꾸는 영적 DNA(롬5:1) Spiritual DNA that changes your field (Romans 5:1)
나의 미래를 바꾸는 영적 DNA(롬5:6) Spiritual DNA that changes your future (Romans 5:6)
그렇다면 이제 하나님의 치유하심을 체험해야 될줄 믿는다. 새로 시대적인, 긴급한 메시지로 받아야겠다. 지난시간에 말씀 드렸다시피 4월 첫주부터 우리 교회와 달라스의 운명은 바뀐것이다 말씀드렸다. 이제부터 새로운 삶을 사시기 바란다. 나의 영적 운명을 바꿀 영적 DNA 를 바꿔야한다. 이스라엘 처럼 멸망받을 DNA 가 아닌 쓰임받을 DNA 로 바꿔야한다. 요 4:23이다, “아버지께 참으로 예배하는 자들은 신령과 진정으로 예배할 때가 오나니 곧 이때라 아버지께서는 이렇게 자기에게 예배하는 자들을 찾으시느니라”. 주님께서 하신 말씀이다. 예배를 통해 모든 축복이 다 있고 언약의 메시지를 주신다. 전에 말씀드렸다시피 예배를 통해 영광 받으신다. 이 예배에 승리하시기를 바란다. 그렇게 되면 나의 현장을 바꾸는 영적 DNA 가 바뀌게 된다. 롬 5:1, “그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다 하심을 얻었은즉 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님으로 더불어 화평을 누리자.” 우리가 하나님의 자녀되는 축복의 자리로 들어왔다. 하나님 주시는 화평과 평화를 항상 누려야겠다. 어떤 문제가 있다 한들 야곱처럼 기도로 인도 받기를 바란다. 속이는 자, 도적질 하는 자였던 야곱이 사생결단의 기도로 변화되었다. 집중 기도는 모든 문제를 해결하고 우리의 영적 DNA 까지 바꾼다. 세번째는 나의 미래를 바꾸는 영적 DNA 를 소유해야겠다. 로마서 5:6, “우리가 아직 연약할 때에 기약대로 그리스도께서 경건하지 않은 자를 위하여 죽으셨도다.” 이스라엘은 소망이 없는 사람이었는데 하나님이 역사 하시니 그들이 변화한것이다. 우리도 사실상 소망이 없는 이들이었으나 은혜로 우리르 부르시고 구원하셨다. 가장 무능하고 보잘것 없는 나를 위해 십자가에 죽으셨다. 왜 그렇나. 증인으로 세우시기위해.
2) 안하면 안되는 것 What you must do
237나라 문제 해결 (사43:10) Solving the problem of the 237 nations (Isaiah 43:10)
질병 치유(행8:7-8) Healing of diseases (Acts 8:7-8)
서밋 치유(롬14:17) Healing of the summit (Romans 14:17)
그렇다면 우리가 지금 하지 않으면 안되는것이 있다. 237의 모든 문제를 해결해야 할것이다. 오늘 본문 43:10에 나온다, “나 여호와가 말하노라 너희는 나의 증인, 나의 종으로 택함을 입었나니 이는 너희가 나를 알고 믿으며 내가 그인 줄 깨닫게 하려 함이라” 그리스도를 정확히 알고 믿는것이 하나님의 뜻이라 했다. 복음을 누리는것이 하나님의 뜻이다. 237 나라 살리는 비결이 복음을 누리는것이다. 그렇게 되면 하나님께서 질병 또한 치유하는 역사를 이루어나가실것이다. 행 7:7-8, “많은 사람에게 붙었던 더러운 귀신들이 크게 소리를 지르며 나가고 또 많은 중풍병자와 앉은뱅이가 나으니. 8 그 성에 큰 기쁨이 있더라.” 가서 복음 증거하는 곳마다 치유가 일어나는역사가 있기를 축원한다. 이렇게 서밋의 축복을 누려야겠다, 롬 14:17, “하나님의 나라는 먹는 것과 마시는 것이 아니요 오직 성령 안에 있는 의와 평강과 희락이라.” 하나님의 나라를 누리시라. TCK 나 다른 사람들 기도에 품으시고 하나님 나라 증거 하시라.여러분이 누리고 있는 천국의 축복을 그들에게 증거 하시기를 바란다.
결론 Conclusion
사 Isaiah 43:1
말씀 맺겠다. 사 43:1 붙잡으시기를 바란다. “ 야곱아 너를 창조하신 여호와께서 지금 말씀하시느니라 이스라엘아 너를 지으신 이가 말씀하시느니라 너는 두려워하지 말라 내가 너를 구속하였고 내가 너를 지명하여 불렀나니 너는 내 것이라” 어떤 일이 있다한들 두려워 할 필요가 없는것은 우리가 하나님의 것이기 때문이다. 하나님 말씀 하실때 귀 쫑긋 세우고 들으시기를 바란다.

“1 But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: 'Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. 3 For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. 4 Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life. 5 Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west; 6 I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' And to the south, 'Do not keep them back!' Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth-- 7 Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.' 8 Bring out the blind people who have eyes, And the deaf who have ears. 9 Let all the nations be gathered together, And let the people be assembled. Who among them can declare this, And show us former things? Let them bring out their witnesses, that they may be justified; Or let them hear and say, 'It is truth.' 10 'You are My witnesses,' says the Lord, 'And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. 11 I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior. 12 I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, And there was no foreign god among you; Therefore you are My witnesses,' Says the Lord, 'that I am God. 13 Indeed before the day was, I am He; And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?' ”
Introduction
There was a testimony that I heard from the message and this child was very young that he couldn’t make good decisions. This child left his home so his entire family went to go find him but that day, it was raining the entire day. The family split and went to go search for this child but no matter how much they looked for him, they couldn’t find him. They ended up going to the police station to file a missing child report. The child was actually on his way to the mountaintop but since it was raining, there was no one hiking or walking in the mountain. The child became afraid so he started crying but thankfully, there was a person that was walking through the mountain. This person was walking through the mountain but he heard a child crying. He thought that he heard wrong so he listened more carefully, and it was a child crying. He went to inspect the place where he heard the crying child and indeed, there was a child crying. That child didn't know his home address or phone number. He took this child to the police station and he was able to find his family. When I heard this, I realized that this was the state that the Israelites were in. They lost hold of God and were wandering around, and doing strange things. What is important here is that the people who are spiritually powerless and arrogant, their current state becomes impossible. Even if they have wisdom and great intellect, they have no choice but to be powerless like a child. That is why people of this world have no choice but to wander around. They don’t even know that they are dying but they continue to walk up this “mountain”, wandering around and lost. As we spoke about the last sermon, the Israelites were living a life in spiritually desolation. But today’s main scripture speaks in a different context.
1. God the Redeemer
1) Do not fear
God was telling the Israelites who were wondering and lost to not be afraid. We spoke about last time in Isaiah 42:25 “Therefore He has poured on him the fury of His anger And the strength of battle; It has set him on fire all around, Yet he did not know; And it burned him, Yet he did not take it to heart.” - People who left God, they faced great disasters and suffering. They experienced so many wars and experienced God’s wrath during that time. They didn’t even know why they were suffering and in the midst of problems. They couldn’t realize the reason why at all. Even though God gave them problems and His wrath at that time to help them realize, they still couldn’t realize. That is why those who are in sin and state of destruction, this is how dangerous that state is. When you are locked in sin, then that is very dangerous and you can’t see anything at all.
Verse 1 - People who had no hope at all, God told them not to be afraid. Here, it speaks about Jacob and Israel. Jacob deceived his father and stole his brother’s birthright. This was a very wrong thing to do and was terrible for doing this. His brother, Esau was so angry that he bought his men to seek revenge against Jacob. He chased after his brother for 20 years. When Jacob heard this that he was coming to kill him, he was trembling in fear and came before God, and prayed. Jacob was so much in fear that he didn’t even know that his hip was dislocated when he was wrestling with God in prayer. During that time, God asked Jacob, “What is your name?” Jacob answered, “It is Jacob.” God replied to Jacob, “Change your name to Israel. Your name is Israel now.” This was the best name and greatest answer that Jacob received. Israel meant that, “The one who wrestled with God and won.” Since Jacob won against God, then there is nothing for Jacob to be afraid of. It was God who made Israel through Jacob. God was telling them to remember the one who created Israel and Jacob. Redeemed means that God took the sins of man and atoned the sins of mankind. The fact that God took the sins of mankind, this doesn’t simply mean that you went to go to slavery to atone for their sins. The fruit of that atonement meant that they had to suffer and experience agony for that sin. But atonement for their sins that God will cleanse of their sins once and for all. When people commit sin, they experience punishment for their sins but just because they experience punishment for their sins, it doesn’t mean that their sin doesn’t go away. The suffering and problems of your sin doesn’t mean that your sins were solved. You need to be redeemed of your sins once and for all. Forgiveness needs to take place. This was what God was trying to say. God was saying that He will atone them of their sins. This means that all of this will take place through Jesus Christ. Why was that? God has called us. God didn’t do this because the Israelites did good before God but it was all part of God’s grace. All of this was possible through God’s grace. This is the same thing for us. We didn’t do anything to deserve God’s salvation but it was all through God’s grace. All we need to do is give thanksgiving to God and remain humble before Him.
2) You are precious and honored
Verses 2-4 - This means that the Israelites will be in slavery and they will suffer. They had no choice but to be in agony and will go towards the brink of death. They will feel very hopeless and desolate. But during that time, God said not to worry at all and they will be destroyed in the end. Why was that?
Verse 3 - This is astounding. God said that He will not let them fail because He is their God. God said that He will send His ransom and sacrifice on their behalf. The content of that ransom and sacrifice is spoken here in verse 3. God said that He will give them Egypt, Ethiopia, and Seba as their ransom. As you know, Persia destroyed Babylon and allowed Israel to come out of slavery. As a result, God blessed Persia so that they could defeat Babylon. God blessed Persia so that they could defeat Egypt, Ethiopia, and Seba. As a result, God gave them tremendous blessings and prosperity for 200 years. Why was that?
Verse 4 - God loves His children so much and we don’t know, and can never know the extent of God’s love. God said that when He looks at us, He sees us as His jewels and His greatest treasure. In order to raise you, God said that He can sacrifice other people. This is because you are so precious in God’s eyes. Remember the Passover. When the Israelites were in slavery in Egypt, God killed all of the firstborns of the Egyptians in order to free the Israelites. This is the truth that will take place in the future. Why is that? In God’s eyes, we are the most precious to Him. We can never be replaced in front of God.
2. God Who Reigns
1) Everyone whom I created for my glory
Verses 5-7 - This was fulfilled through Cyrus of Persia. It may seem like it was through Cyrus but it was God who allowed all of this to happen. The one who controls all of the world is God. God commanded that Babylon let go of the Israelites, His people. He calls His people, His sons and daughters. This is astounding.
Verse 7 - What is the purpose of creation? In order for His glory. Why did God call us? He called us so that we can glorify Him. God is glorified when all of the people gather before Him in one place. Why would they gather? They would gather to give worship to God, and this makes God the most happy. That is why God gathered all of His people together. He gathered all of His people together, all of the people who are saved so that they can give glory to God.
Verse 6 - God calls us His daughters and sons. What qualifies us as His sons and daughters? It is God’s grace. Through God’s grace, we are children of God. Where do children of God go? When I think of this, I am so thankful. They go to heaven. I watched an actor and some comedians on TV, and they visited a shaman. When they went to the shaman, the shaman was predicting what would happen to the celebrities there. But one of the comedians said that on his forehead, there is a cross. They were all looking at him and were looking for the cross on his forehead. It was because the comedian’s father was a Christian, and thought this was the reason why. This means that this one comedian was saved among those comedians and celebrities. This means that this comedian will go to heaven. I truly believe you possess this great blessing.
2) You are my witnesses
Verses 8-13 - God said that He will pull his spiritually hopeless and ignorant people out of slavery and suffering. God said that all people and nations will be saved and gather together, and what they should do is proclaim the name of Jesus Christ. But there were no witnesses among them. There were no witnesses among them. People who were spiritually ignorant and blind, they had no message to proclaim.
Verse 10 - This says something astounding. God said that He is the Creator and to proclaim this. Those who are spiritually hopeless and ignorant, this was what God was proclaiming to them. God said that they are His witnesses and He is the Creator. As the Creator, God chose them to be His witnesses and will raise them up again so that they can realize and know their identity as witnesses.
Verse 11 - God is the first and the last, and there is no other savior than Him. Through the Israelites, the work of redemption will take place. God was performing His work of raising up the 12 disciples and His workers through the Israelites who were spiritually blind and ignorant. Among them, God chose the 12 disciples eventually. This means that God’s word will absolutely be fulfilled no matter what.
Verse 13 - God said that He will bring His judgment no matter what. No one can block His work and judgment, and darkness will be destroyed. And, Jesus will absolutely come to save His people. May we become witnesses of this. Now, we must experience the healing of God.
3. God Who Healed
1) The urgent message
Last time I spoke to you that after April 22, our fate and destiny of our church will change. We will start anew and will live a new life.
Spiritual DNA that changes your fate (John 4:23 “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”) - We need our spiritual DNA to change our fate and destiny. We don’t have the DNA that non-believers experience, which brings destruction and suffering but we possess a different DNA. This was what Jesus Christ said, all blessings are within worship. Through worship, God gives us the message of the covenant. I told you this last time but God is glorified through the time of worship. May we be victorious in worship.
Spiritual DNA that changes your field (Romans 5:1 “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”) - We are in the place of blessings as a child of God. We need to always experience and enjoy peace as children of God. No matter what problems come to us, we must restore the prayer of Jacob and experience peace. Even though he deceived his brother and committed sin, he entered into prayer and was able to experience peace. This is the only way to change our spiritual DNA.
Spiritual DNA that changes your future (Romans 5:6 “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”) - The Israelites were in a hopeless state but when God worked, they were used by God. We are truthfully people without hope but through God’s grace, God called us and we were used to doing His work. We who are hopeless and worthless, Jesus Christ died on the cross for you. This is so that we can stand as God’s witnesses. There is something that we must do.
2) What you must do
Solving the problem of the 237 nations (Verse 10) - Know God precisely and enjoy Him. This is our purpose. This is God’s purpose for us. The way to save 237 nations is to restore worship and enjoy the gospel. Then, God will allow us to heal diseases.
Healing of diseases (Acts 8:7-8 “For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. 8 And there was great joy in that city.”) - Wherever we proclaim the gospel, that field will be saved and healed. May we enjoy the healing and summit.
Healing of the summit (Romans 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”) - Enjoy the kingdom of God. Whether it is out TCKs or people around us, we must proclaim the gospel to them. May we enjoy and relay the blessing of the heavenly throne.
Conclusion
Verse 1 - No matter what happens to us, there is no need for us to be afraid. This is because God is with us. When we pray, God will answer us. May we receive the greatest answers through our prayers.
