하나님이 예비하신 한 몸(히10:5-7)
서론
제가 이번에 기도하는 가운데 우리 교회에 있다가 시애틀에 타코마로 가신 서인범 박사님이 생각났다. 타코마에는 서인범 박사님의 사촌동생 박흥렬 목사님이 계시다. 요즘 코로나고 그렇고 근황이 궁금해서 전화를 걸었다. 저는 가끔 서박사님을 위해서 기도하면서 짠한 마음이 계속 있다. 왜냐하면 그 분이 처음 오셨을 때 정신문제가 너무나 심각했다. 약을 스물 네 가지를 드시고 정신문제, 영적문제, 정신분열, 우울증, 공황증 등 없는 것이 없었다. 대한민국에서도 훌륭한 인재인고 경기고등학교, 서울대 나오고 물리학 박사까지 받은 인재인데 영적문제 때문에 나사에서 일하다가 그만두는 일이 생겼다. 계속 증거할 수 있는 것이 그리스도 밖에 없기 때문에 그리스도만 계속 증거했다. 성도님들도 열심히 기도했다. 하나님께서 그 기도를 들으시고 점점 치유가 되고 마지막에 우울증 하나만 남았었다. 많은 사람들이 기적이 일어났다고까지 했었다. 그런데 가실 때 우울증 약을 하나 먹었었는데 이것까지 떼고 가는게 좋겠다고 했는데 심심하니까 가서 일 좀 해야겠다고 하면서 가셨다. 지난 번에 시애틀에 들렀을 때 그 동생 목사님께 박사님을 만나고 싶은데 만날 수 있겠냐고 요청을 했었다. 지금은 만날 형편이 못됩니다, 다음 기회를 보셨으면 좋겠습니다 하고 말씀하셨다. 혹시 심해졌나 하고 걱정하면서 돌아왔었다. 그런 가운데 안심이 되는 것은 그 분이 분명히 자신이 하나님의 아들된 것을 고백한 것을 제가 기억했다. 한 번은 성경 공부하는 도중에 갑자기 내 친구들이 불쌍해요 하고 얘기했다. 왜 그렇게 불쌍하냐고 물었다. 내 친구들은 아직까지 예수님을 안믿어요 라고 했다. 제가 놀라서 그럼 박사님은 하나님의 자녀된 확신이 있습니까 하고 물었다. 그러니까 단호하게 나는 확신이 있죠, 나는 분명히 천국갈 확신이 있어요 하고 이야기했다. 그래서 걱정이 될 때 마다 그래도 하나님 자녀니까 하나님이 지켜주실 것이라는 확신이 있었다. 지난 주에 제가 동생 목사님에게 전화를 걸었다. 그랬더니 하는 대답이 너무나 감사했다. 거의 정상으로 지내고 있다고 했다. 살이 쪄서 얼굴이 좋아졌다고 했다. 지금 그분이 나이가 미국 나이로 74세이다. 어디 계시냐 물으니까 Adult Service Center에서 정부에서 보호하는 가운데 지내고 계시다고 했다. 아주 편하게 잘 지내고 있습니다 하면서 걱정하지 말라고 했다. 음식 잘 나오냐고 물으니 잘 나온다고 했다. 목사님께서도 감사드리고 하나님께도 감사드린다고 이야기했다. 그러면서 사 49:15 말씀이 생각났다.
사 49:15 여인이 어찌 그 젖 먹는 자식을 잊겠으며 자기 태에서 난 아들을 긍휼히 여기지 않겠느냐 그들은 혹시 잊을지라도 나는 너를 잊지 아니할 것이라
하나님의 자녀는 하나님께서 극진하게 사랑하시기 때문에 절대 걱정할 것이 없다. 가족도 없고 아무도 없는 상태에 있지만 하나님께서 보호해주셔서 편안한 장소에서 잘 지내고 계신 것 같다. 오늘 말씀을 다시 한 번 보아야겠다. 하나님의 사랑이 얼마나 극진하신지를 말씀을 통해서 찾아보아야겠다.
1. 그리스도의 계시
1) 성부 하나님의 계획
히 10:5 그러므로 주께서 세상에 임하실 때에 이르시되 하나님이 제사와 예물을 원하지 아니하시고 오직 나를 위하여 한 몸을 예비하셨도다
이 말씀은 원래 시 40:6-8에서 다윗이 메시야에 대해서 계시를 할 때 나타나는 구절이다. 다윗이 계시한 내용을 히브리서 기자는 성령의 감동을 통해서 우리에게 아주 쉽게 전달했다. 그러므로 라는 말 부터 붙잡아야겠다. 4절 말씀을 나타낸다.
히 10:4 --이는 황소와 염소의 피가 능히 죄를 없이하지 못하니라
황소와 염소의 피로 구약시대에 많은 제사를 지냈지만 그것으로는 죄를 없애지 못했다는 것이다. 그러므로 주께서 라는 것은 성자되신 예수님께서 이 땅에 임하실 때 말씀하셨다는 것이다. 예수님께서 이 땅에 오시계되신 배경을 친히 말씀하시는 것이다. 예수님의 당시 상태를 예수님께서 직접 말씀하신 것은 어디에도 없고 여기에만 나타나고 있다. 하나님이 제사와 예물을 원하지 아니하셨다고 한다. 많은 제사장들이 짐승을 잡고 했지만 사실을 하나님이 정말로 원하시는 것이 아니었다는 것이다. 제사를 받으시지만 만족하지 못하시는 하나님의 마음을 성자 하나님께서 표현하고 계신 것이다. 그리고 놀라운 말씀을 하신다. 제사와 예물을 원하지 아니하시고 오직 나를 위하여 한 몸을 예비하셨다고 나온다. 한 몸을 예비하셨다는게 무슨 말인가. 구약에 있는 염소와 황소 이런 것으로 도저히 인간의 문제를 해결할 수 없으니까 하나님께서는 이 문제를 완전히 해결하기 위해서 희생제물이 될 육신의 몸을 예비하셨다는 것이다. 이것은 바로 그리스도를 나타낸다. 아들되신 예수님을 예비하셨다는 것이다. 저는 이것을 보고 생각해보았다. 하나님께서 예비하셨다고 하시는데 자기 아들이 이 땅에 오셔서 육체로서 희생제사로 죽을 것을 예비하셨을 때 하나님 마음은 어떠셨겠는가. 아무런 감정도 없이 너 가서 죽어라 하고 예비하셨겠는가. 우리를 살리기 위해서 하나님께서 자기 아들되신 성자 예수님을 예비하셨다. 우리가 뭐길래 아들까지 희생시켜가면서 살리셔야 하는가. 여기서 또 하나 잡아야할 것이 있다.
2) 성자 하나님의 마음
오직 나를 위하여 한 몸을 예비하셨다는 말이 나온다. 나는 누구를 나타내는가. 성육신 하셔서 희생 제물이 되실 예수님 자신이다. 예수님께서 말씀하시기를 나를 위하여 준비하셨다는 것이다. 아버지를 위하여서라든지 죄에 빠진 인간을 위해서라고 해야 말이 되는데 피흘려 죽으실 자신을 위하여 하셨다는 것이다. 이것을 묵상하면서 내 머리로는 이해가 되지 않았다. 저는 그래서 주석책을 다 찾아보았다. 내용을 종합해서 보니까 하나님의 계획을 성취한 것 자체가 예수님을 위한 것이라고 나왔다. 하나님의 뜻을 성취하는 그것이 바로 나를 위한 것이라고 주님께서 말씀하시는 것이다. 이것은 주님께서 성부 하나님을 얼마나 사랑하시는지 나타내는 것이다. 아버지를 위해서 죽는 것은 나를 위한 것이라고 말씀하신 것이다. 아버지의 영광을 위해서 쓰임 받는 것 자체가 나를 위한 것이라는 말이다. 성자 하나님은 바로 하나님이시다. 말씀으로 천지를 창조하신 창조주 하나님이다. 모든 영광과 존귀를 받으시는 그 분이다. 그런데 그 분이 모든 영광과 존귀를 다 내려놓으시고 자기 모습을 감추시고 아버지의 영광이 나를 위한 일이라고 하시는 것이다. 이것을 보면서 내 자신이 신앙생활 하는 것 자체가 문제가 있구나 하고 생각했다. 그런데 주님의 이 말씀이 여러군데 나온다. 예수님께서 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가시기 전에 아버지께 기도하신다.
요 17:1 예수께서 이 말씀을 하시고 눈을 들어 하늘을 우러러 이르시되 아버지여 때가 이르렀사오니 아들을 영화롭게 하사 아들로 아버지를 영화롭게 하게 하옵소서
상상할 수 없는 얘기를 하신다. 때가 이르렀다는 것은 내가 십자가에서 못박혀 죽을 때가 되었다는 것이다. 그 때 아버지를 영화롭게 해달라고 말한다. 십자가에서 장렬하게 죽게 해달라는 것이다. 아버지의 영광을 위해서 장렬히 죽는 것이 아들이 영광을 받는다는 것이다. 이해가 되시는가. 이것이 이해가 된다면 신앙생활 더 이상 물어볼 것이 없을 것이다. 아들로 아버지를 영화롭게 하옵소서. 예수님이 자기 자신은 하나도 없는 것이다. 아버지의 영광을 위해서 내 모든 것을 다 드리겠습니다 하는 내용이다. 그런데 한 가지 붙잡을 것은 오직 나를 위하여라고 하셨다. 오직이라는 것은 무엇인가. 하나님의 뜻, 예수님의 뜻을 나타낸다. 하나님께서 왜 아들을 이 땅에 보내시는가. 인간을 너무나 사랑하시기 때문에. 우리를 구원하시기 위해서. 바로 그것이 하나님의 마음이다. 우리를 극진히 사랑하시는 그 사랑이 나타나고 있다. 오직 예수님께서 나를 위하여라고 하셨다. 이것은 무엇을 나타내는가. 예수님도 내가 십자가에 못박혀 죽는 것은 나를 위한 것이다 하고 말씀하시는 것이다. 주님께서 우리를 향하신 극진하신 사랑을 나타내고 있다. 우리를 위해서 돌아가신 것이 주님 자신을 위한 것이라고 하신다. 주님의 마음이 이해가 되시는가. 정말 상상할 수 없는, 도저히 이해가 되지 않는 사랑이 하나님에게 있고 아들되신 예수님에게 있다. 그래서 성육신 하셔서 이 땅에 친히 오신다.
2. 그리스도의 성육신
1) 성육신의 이유
6절 말씀에 성육신 하신 이유가 나온다.
히 10:6 번제와 속죄제는 기뻐하지 아니하시나니
아버지께서 짐승을 갖고 많은 제사를 지냈는데 기뻐하지 않으셨다는 것이다. 왜냐하면 그 짐승제사는 그림자일 뿐이니까. 짐승 갖고 인간의 근본문제가 해결되지 않는다는 것이다.
히 10:7 이에 내가 말하기를 하나님이여 보시옵소서 두루마리 책에 나를 가리켜 기록된 것과 같이 하나님의 뜻을 행하러 왔나이다 하셨느니라
여기서 두루마리 책이라는 것은 구약성경 39권을 나타낸다. 구약성경 전체가 예수님께서 이 땅에 오셔서 우리 문제를 해결하실 것이라는 내용을 담고있다. 하나님의 모든 뜻과 계획은 인간의 근본문제를 해결하시기 위해서 아들을 이 땅에 보내시는 것이다. 우리가 어떤 문제를 갖고있는가. 하나님의 모든 뜻과 계획은 인간의 근본 문제를 해결하시는 것이다. 그래서 예수님께서 하나님의 뜻을 행하러 왔나이다 하신다. 시편 40:7 말씀을 보게되면 예수님 오시기 천 년 전에 다윗이 예언한 말씀이다. 시제를 보게되면 하나님의 뜻을 행하러 왔나이다 하면서 완료형을 쓰고 있다. 아직도 일어나지도 않은 일인데. 이것은 반드시 일어날 것이라는 말이다. 아버지 뜻을 이루겠다는 것이다. 이것은 예수님의 결단하시는 모습니다. 죄에 빠지고 사단에 붙잡힌 인간들을 살리기 위해서 내가 가서 십자가에 못박혀야겠다는 강한 뜻을 나타낸다. 예수님의 그 계획을, 그 마음을 시편을 통해서 예언한 것이다. 그러면 하나님의 뜻이 무엇인가.
2) 하나님의 뜻
창 3:15에서부터 시작되었다. 인간이 타락하자마자 제일 먼저 주신 말씀이다.
창 3:15 내가 너로 여자와 원수가 되게 하고 네 후손도 여자의 후손과 원수가 되게 하리니 여자의 후손은 네 머리를 상하게 할 것이요 너는 그의 발꿈치를 상하게 할 것이니라 하시고
너를 타락시킨 사단과 원수가 될 것이라는 것이다. 우리가 살아가면서 사단은 우리의 원수이다. 여자의 후손은 네 머리를 상하게 할 것이요 하고 나온다. 머리를 박살낸다는 것이다. 염소나 황소의 피로는 사단의 머리를 박살 낼 수 없었다. 남자의 후손이 아니라 여자의 후손을 통해서 반드시 이 문제를 해결하겠다는 것이다.
사 7:14 그러므로 주께서 친히 징조를 너희에게 주실 것이라 보라 처녀가 잉태하여 아들을 낳을 것이요 그의 이름을 임마누엘이라 하리라
여자의 후손이 어떤 분인가. 그 분이 올 때는 분명히 징조를 보여주시겠다고 했다. 처녀가 잉태하여 아들을 난다고 했다. 성령으로 잉태되서 인간의 육신이 아닌 성령을 통해서 나을 것이라는 것이다. 세상에 있을 수 없는 일이다. 그것이 바로 임마누엘이다, 하나님인 것을 알라는 것이다.
사 53:5-6 그가 찔림은 우리의 허물 때문이요 그가 상함은 우리의 죄악 때문이라 그가 징계를 받으므로 우리는 평화를 누리고 그가 채찍에 맞으므로 우리는 나음을 받았도다. 6 우리는 다 양 같아서 그릇 행하여 각기 제 길로 갔거늘 여호와께서는 우리 모두의 죄악을 그에게 담당시키셨도다
성자되신 예수님께서 인간의 몸을 입고 이 땅에 오셔서 십자가에 못박혀 돌아가시면서 해결할 문제들을 하나하나 말씀하신 것이다. 그가 찔림은 우리의 허물 때문이요 그가 상함은 우리의 죄악 때문이다. 죄와 허물로 완전히 지옥에 갈 수 밖에 없었다. 영적문제를 확실히 해결하겠다는 것이다. 징계를 받음으로 우리는 평화를 누린다고 했다. 예수님께서 징계를 받으심으로 정신 치유 마음 치유가 일어날 것이라는 말이다. 채찍에 맞으므로 우리는 나음을 받았도다. 예수님이 맞으신 채찍을 통해서 여러분의 육신적인 질병까지도 치유가 된다. 우리의 모든 죄악을 그에게 담당시켜서 끝내버렸다. 하나님의 계획은 우리의 영적, 정신적, 육신적인 문제를 완전히 해결하시는 것이다. 십자가는 조금도 부족한 것이 없다. 완전히 해결하셨다. 예수님을 믿는 그 순간에 완전히 끝났다는 것을 붙잡으시기 바란다. 그렇다면 주님께서 이 어마어마한 일을 하셨는데 알고만 있으면 안된다. 실질적으로 누려야한다.
3. 그리스도의 누림
1) 마음과 생각치유
누리는데서 가장 중요한 것이 마음, 생각이 치유를 받는 것이다. 1부 메세지에서 나왔다. 심각한 낙심에 빠진 사람이 있었다. 그 사람이 토마스 칼라일이라는 사람의 책을 보고 해답을 찾았다고 한다. ‘어제는 이미 과거에 묻힌 하루이고 미래는 아직 오지 않은 날이기에 우리가 소유할 수 있는 오늘을 사랑해라.’ 이 해답을 받고 문제를 해결받았다는 말이다. 어제는 끝났으니 생각하지 말라는 말이다. 미래는 오지 않았으니 근심 걱정하지 말라는 것이다. 지금 갖고 있는 것은 오늘이니까 오늘을 사랑하면 된다는 것이다. 어떻게 보면 대단히 훌륭한 말씀이다. 그런데 이것을 자세히 보면 성경하고는 다른 말이다.
신 5:15 너는 기억하라 네가 애굽 땅에서 종이 되었더니 네 하나님 여호와가 강한 손과 편 팔로 거기서 너를 인도하여 내었나니 그러므로 네 하나님 여호와가 네게 명령하여 안식일을 지키라 하느니라
무엇을 기억하는가. 애굽 땅에서 종된 것이에서 여호와 하나님이 너를 구해낸 것을 기억하라는 것이다. 성경에서는 항상 과거를 잊으라고 하지 않고 기억하라고 말씀하고 있다. 오늘은 과거의 결과이다. 이스라엘 백성들이 광야까지 오게된 것은 하나님의 능력으로 붙들려 온 것이다. 하나님께서 역사하신 것을 잊어버리면 안되는 것이다. 그러면 미래는 어떤가. 오늘 내가 어떻게 하느냐에 따라서 결정된다. 그러면 오늘 내가 하는 일은 무엇인가. 성경에서 항상 오늘은 하나님의 말씀, 언약을 굳게 잡으라고 말하고 있다. 성경에서 이야기하는 승리하는 방법이다. 우리가 중요한 복음을 깨닫게 되면 과거의 모든 슬픔 고통 문제가 나의 발판이 되어버린다. 과거에 그렇게 고생하고 고난 받았던 것이 축복으로 바뀌어서 축복의 발판이 된다. 미래는 어떻게 되는가. 내가 오늘 이 복음을 잡는 순간에 미래는 이미 시작된 것이다. 우리가 복음을 잡는 순간에 모든 것은 끝나는 것이다. 어떤 문제, 고통, 정신문제, 육신문제가 있다고 하더라도 치유가 되는 것이다. 성경에 나오는 소경 바디매오를 기억하시기 바란다. 눈이 안보여서 구걸하면서 먹고살던 사람이다. 예수님이 오신다는 얘기를 들었다. 저 분만 나를 불쌍히 여겨주시면 눈을 뜰 수 있다는 확신이 있었다. 그런데 보이지 않으니까 어디 계신지 모르겠다. 그냥 소리를 질렀다. 나를 불쌍히 여기소서 소리 소리를 질렀다. 사람들이 시끄럽다고 말리는데도 다윗의 자손이여 나를 불쌍히 여기소서 하고 소리를 질렀다. 예수님께서 지나가시다가 서서 소경 바디매오에게 네가 무엇을 원하느냐 하셨다. 보기를 원합니다. 그 순간에 눈이 떠졌다. 그 순간에 예수님을 놓쳤다면 이 사람은 어떻게 되었겠는가. 지금 이 순간에 복음을 잡아야한다. 그 순간에 해결되는 것이다. 혈루증 여인도 있다. 열두해 동안에 혈루 때문에 고생을 아주 많이 했다. 예수님이 지나가신다는 이야기를 들었다. 그냥 쫓아갔다. 감히 내가 붙잡을 수 없으니까 옷자락이라고 만져야겠다 그러면 고쳐질 거야 하는 그 믿음을 갖고 쫓아가서 옷깃을 만진다. 그 순간에 문제가 해결되었다. 모든 문제는 그리스도를 붙잡는 순간에 끝난다. 여기서 치유가 되는 것은 완전한 치유이다. 내가 정말로 복음을 잡는 그 순간에 문제가 해결된다. 주위에 어려움 당하는 사람이 있는가. 정말 그리스도를 소개하시기 바란다. 당신 문제 어떤 방법으로도 해결 안된다. 그리스도로만 해결된다는 것을 보여주시라. 그리스도를 누리는데 있어서 우선수위를 갖고 신앙생활을 해야겠다.
2) 삶의 우선순위
벧전 5:7 너희 염려를 다 주께 맡기라 이는 그가 너희를 돌보심이라
염려 근심이 있으신가. 죽었다 깨도 도저히 해결할 수 없어 하는 문제가 있으신가. 창조주 하나님께 맡기시기 바란다. 주님께서 너희를 돌보심이라. 서박사님도 돌보고 계신다. 여러분들도 돌봐주실 줄로 믿는다.
요삼 1:2 사랑하는 자여 네 영혼이 잘됨 같이 네가 범사에 잘되고 강건하기를 내가 간구하노라
지금 우리에게 하시는 말씀이다. 먼저 찾아야할 것이 네 영혼이 잘되야한다는 것이다. 영혼이 잘되면 범사가 잘된다. 여러분 이것은 틀림없는 사실이다. 내가 영혼이 주님앞에 바로 서면 다 잘되게 되어있다. 그 다음에 강건하기를 구하라. 건강도 회복되는 것이다. 이것이 순서이다. 세상에 나가서 어떻게 성공할 때 머리쓰는 것이 아니라 영혼이 하나님 앞에 바로서면 범사에 잘되고 강건하게 되어있다. 하나님 말씀은 법이라고 말씀드렸다. 되고 안되는 것이 아니라 하나님의 법이다. 하나님이 하시면 그렇게 되는 것이다.
마 6:33 그런즉 너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더하시리라
모든 문제의 해답을 그리스도에서 찾으시기 바란다. 인간의 모든 문제는 하나님 떠남으로서 시작되었다. 수만가지 문제가 있다고 하더라도 그것은 하나님의 떠난데서 시작된 것이다. 수십억 되는 문제가 있다고 하더라도 그것은 하나님께 범한 죄 때문이다. 그 모든 문제의 해답은 하나님께서 그리스도 하나로 간단히 해결하셨다. 그리스도로 완전한 해답을 찾는 여러분 되시기 바란다. 걱정 절대 할 것 없다.
결론
시 91:14 하나님이 이르시되 그가 나를 사랑한즉 내가 그를 건지리라 그가 내 이름을 안즉 내가 그를 높이리라
예수님을 사랑하는 것은 무엇인가. 하나님의 말씀을 붙잡는 것이다. 하나님 말씀을 믿고 기도하는 것이다. 말씀을 사랑하는 자가 하나님의 사랑하는 자이다. 보이지 하나님을 어떻게 사랑하는가. 그 분이 약속하신 말씀을 사랑하는 것이다. 그러면 건지리라 하셨다. 문제가 해결된다. 또 그가 내 이름을 안즉 내가 그를 높이리라. 내 이름을 안다는 것이 무엇인가. 예수님이 그리스도라는 사실을 아는 것이다. 이 땅에는 수만, 수억가지 문제가 있다고 하더라도 답은 그리스도라는 것을 붙잡는 것이다. 축복은 너무나 쉽다. 내 이름을 안즉 내가 그를 높이리라. 이 축복 받는 여러분들 되시기 바란다. 닫혔던 모든 문이 열리는 축복 받으시기 바란다.

Introduction
While I was praying, I thought about our old church member who was a professor who moved to Seattle. He has a cousin who is a pastor who lives in Seattle. I was curious about him so I gave him a phone call. I continued to pray for professor Suh and I always had a heart for him. When he first attended our church, he was suffering from severe mental problems and he was taking about 24 different psychiatric medications. He was suffering from every kind of mental illness. We as our church, we were all praying for him. He was such a great individual because he graduated from a prestigious university and educational background, and worked in NASA. But due to his mental illness, he had to drop everything. All I could do to him was proclaim of only Jesus Christ and gospel to him. All of our church members prayed really hard for him. When God heard our prayers, he was solved of every mental illness except of depression. A lot of people were saying that a miracle arose but when he departed our church, he left with only taking depression medication. When I visited Seattle, I met with the pastor and I asked the pastor if I could meet professor Suh but unfortunately we weren’t able to meet. I wondered if his mental state worsened because the pastor said that it wasn’t the best time for me to meet professor Suh. While still worrying about him, I was still reassured because he confessed to me that he knew that he was a child of God. While we were doing Bible study, he told me that he was worried about his friend because he still doesn't believe in God. When I was shocked to hear that and I asked professor Suh if he had assurance that he was a child of God. He boldly confessed that he was a child of God and that he will go to heaven when he passes away. Whenever I worry about him, I remember that moment and I feel reassured. Last week, I called the pastor again in Seattle and the pastor told me that he was very thankful because he told me that professor Suh lives again a normal life and is doing really good. Right now, Professor Suh is about 74 years old and I was told that he was staying at a retirement center and the pastor assured me not to worry about him. I asked the pastor if professor Suh is eating well and the pastor assured em that he was. I was really thankful to God and I told the pastor that I was really thankful. Then, I remembered the Bible verse of Isaiah 49:15 (“Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.”) - a child ofGod, God loves so much that there is nothing for us to worry about. Even though professor Suh doesn’t have any family members, God is still protecting and guiding him. We need to look at the word of God once again. We need to examine how great God’s love is for us.
1. The Revelation of Christ
1) God the Father's plan
Verse 5 - This was the content that was also proclaimed in Psalms 40:6-8. When we look at the beginning of today’s Bible passage, it was referring to the Hebrews 10:4 (“For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.”) - There were many blood sacrifices of bulls and goats made in the Old Testament but they were not able to completely cleanse mankind of sins. There was a prophecy of the coming of Jesus Christ. The prophets in the Bible performed blood sacrifices but that was not what God desired. Even though God accepted these blood sacrifices, these were not enough for God and this was what Jesus was saying.
One body, what does that mean? In order to solve problems, God prepared a body, a human body and a body made of human flesh. Who was this? This was Jesus Christ. God prepared His Son, Jesus Christ. I was wondering how God felt preparing His son, Jesus Chirst to die. Do you think God told Jesus Christ without any feelings and emotions to just die? For us, God prepared His one and only Son to die for us. What have we done to deserve Jesus Christ and for God to sacrifice his one and only son for us. While meditating on this, I wasn’t able to understand. I was trying to understand this message and looked all throughout the Bible. To understand this content, in order to fulfill His Word, God prepared Jesus Christ. In order to fulfill God’s will, Jesus Chirst had to die on the cross and be sacrificed. What does this mean? This shows how much God loves us. Dying for God’s glory was something that made Jesus happy. The God, the Father is the Creator. He is the One who receives all of the glory. While looking at this, I realized that my walk of faith had a problem. But God’s word doesn't end here.
2) The heart of God the Son
John 17:1 (“Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: 'Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You.' ”) - These were the words of Jesus’ prayer before He died on the cross. This was unimaginable what Jesus was saying. The time had come for Jesus to die on the cross. These were the words that Jesus spoke before His death, He proclaimed that all glory to be given to God. This was how God was glorified, when Jesus died on the cross. Do you understand this? If you are able to understand this, then you should have no more questions regarding your walk of faith.
Before God, Jesus Christ was willing to stake his entire for Him and give Himself up for God’s glory. What does it mean to only? Why did God send Jesus Christ? Because God loves us so much in order to save us. This was God’s heart. God loved us so much. That is why it was only Jesus. Jesu whist dying on the cross was par to fGod’s will and desire. This shows how much God loves us. Do you understand God’s heart? Do you understand how much God loves you? There is an unimaginable amount of love in God and Jesus Christ. That is why Jesus Christ came to earth in human flesh.
2. The Incarnation of Christ
1) The reason for incarnation
Verse 6 - There was a reason for incarnation. The scroll book was referring to the 39 books of the Old Testament. Many animal sacrifices had to be made in the Old Testament before God but it said that even with these animal sacrifices, it said it did not please God. This was because the animal sacrifices were all a foreshadow of what to come in the New Testament through the promised Messiah. It was to show that the fundamental problems of mankind could not be solved with animal sacrifices. What was the Old Testament about? It was prophesying about Jesus Christ, the Messiah coming and dying on the cross. All of God’s will and plan was to send Jesus Christ and solve the fundamental problem of mankind. Do you have a problem? All of God’s plan and will was to solve the fundamental problem of mankind. That is why Jeuss Christ said that He came to fulfill God’s will. This is interesting.
Verse 7 - This was the message that was prophesied for thousands of years. It hasn't happened yet. What is this? It will absolutely happen. Jesus Christ was saying that this will absolutely happen. This was Jesus Christ making a resolution. In order to save mankind from the bondage of Satan and sin, Jesus resolved to come to earth and die on the cross. The plan of Jesus Chirst, with the heart of Jesus was fulfilled exactly according to Jesus' plan. What is God’s will?
2) God's will
It all started with the first covenant of Genesis 3:15 (“And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”) - when making fell into corruption, this was the first covenant that God gave to mankind. God said that He will make Satan into our enemies once again. Satan is our enemy. The offspring of the woman will break and crush the head of Satan. With an animal’s blood, it couldn’t crush the head of Satan. It was only possible through the offspring of the woman. It was not promised through the offspring of a man but through the offspring of a woman.
Isaiah 7:14 (“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”) - Who is the offering of the woman? He will give us a sign. The virgin will conceive a son. Through the hs, the Son will be conceived and born. This was something that was impossible to happen in the world. This was Immanuel.
Isaiah 53:5-6 ("But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.") - Jesus Christ came in human flesh, died on the cross, and solved the problems of mankind. Jesus Chirst was speaking about the problems that he solved. Because of our sins, we were bound by hell but Jesus Christ solved our spiritual problems once and for all. Jesus Christ suffered on the cross, which means that He solved o four mental afflictions. Chastisement for our peace - Through the physical suffering that he faced on the cross, he solved our physical problems once and for all. Through the event of the cross, Jesus Christ solved our mental, spiritual, and physical problems once and for all. He finished everything. The moment you believe in this, then it is finished. If that is so, then we shouldn’t just stay still but we need to enjoy this. The greatest thing that is the most imprint when it comes to enjoyment, we need to receive healing from our mind and thoughts.
3. The Enjoyment of Christ
1) Healing of mind and thoughts
It was mentioned during the second message of the headquarters (HQ), there was someone who was in severe mental affliction but one day, he read a book by Thomas Carlyle and received great encouragement. It read, “Because yesterday is a day buried in the past and the future has yet to come, love today that we can own.” This means that the problem was solved after receiving this answer. Through this, he was able to solve his problem. Yesterday is already done so there is no need for us to worry and be bound our pastor. Our future has not come yet so do not worry about our future. What we have today so we need to live for our today. This is a very astounding message. But when you look at this carefully, this speaks differently from the Bible.
Deuteronomy 5:15 (“And remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.”) - It says to remember. The Bible doesn’t tell us to forget our past but for us to remember our past. Our today was determined by our past. The reason why the Israelites were sent to the wilderness was to experience God’s power. We must not forget what God has done. Then what is the future? It depends on what you do today. So what must we do today? The Bible always tells us to hold fast to God's word and covenant today. All of our past and past problems are all part of the platform. What about the future? Our future starts when we hold onto the covenant and gospel correctly. The moment we hold onto the gospel, then everything is finished. It doesn't matter what problems come or what difficulties come to us. I want you to remember the blind man, Bartimaeus. He heard about Jesus coming and he knew that if Jesus had pity on him then Jesus could heal him. But he was blind so he couldn’t see where Jesus was so he started shouting and screaming for Jesus to have pity and mercy on him. But people around him were telling him to quiet down but he kept screaming louder and asking Jesus to have mercy on him. When Jesus was passing by, he asked Bartimaeus what he wanted and he said that he wanted to see. At that moment, he was able to see again. Imagine, if Bartimaeus didn’t do anything what would’ve happened? The blind man held onto the gospel and it changed his entire life.
We also know of the hemorrhaging woman. She suffered a lot because she had this severe bleeding disorder but she heard that Jesus was passing by. There were so many people surrounding Jesus that she knew that she couldn’t touch Jesus fully so she just touched the tip of Jesus’ clothes. At that moment, she was healed. Healing takes place the moment you hold onto Jesus Christ. Healing in Christ is complete healing. The moment you hold onto the gospel, healing will absolutely take place. Are there people around you who have having a hard time? Introduce Christ to them. There is no other way to solve problems, only Jesus can solve them. We need to live our walk of faith with the correct priorities in place.
2) Priorities in life
Hold onto 1 Peter 5:6 (“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.”) - Do you have any problems or concerns? Entrust it to God, our Creator. God, our Father cares about you. God will protect you as well.
3 John 1:2 (“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”) - This is what God is telling us. What we need to be healed of first is that we need to prosper our souls first. If our souls prosper, we will prosper in all things. This is the absolute truth. When we stay uprightly before God with our soul prospering first, then God will take responsibility for everything else. Then, our physical health will be restored. This is the order. Instead of thinking how you can live better with your own physical method, you need to think first on how to have your soul prosper. I told you this last time. I told you that God’s word is the law. It doesn’t matter if it will work or not but God’s word is law.
Matthew 6:33 ("But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. ") - Find all answers and solutions in Jesus Christ. Everything happened and all problems started due to the separation from God. There are billions of problems in this world but the sole problem and the origin of all problems started from mankind’s separation from God. Then, the solution is simple. It is Jesus Christ. Truly hold onto Jesus Christ, the solution to all problems. There is nothing else for us to worry about.
Conclusion
Hold onto Psalm 91:14 (“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.”) - what does it mean to love God? It means to hold onto God’s word. It means to hold onto the word of god, pray with it, and believing in. Loving God means to love His word. How do you love someone? You are believing in what they are saying and believing their words. If you do this, then God promised that He will deliver us. This means that our problems will be solved. What does it mean to know God’s name? What does this mean? It is knowing that Jesus is the Christ. In other words, there are billions of problems but the one solution is Jesus Christ. To receive blessings is so simple.
