While deacon was talking yo another student, I spoke to a girl. She confirmed she was Catholic. When I asked her what Christ meant she replied love. I asked if I could explain and she said yes. She seemed concentrated so i explained more in depth. However, she started looking at her phone so i asked if she had to leave and she said yes then took off. The second person did the acceptance prayer and after, kissed his cross necklace. We walked around but couldn't find anyone. Then we met a student who goes to Richland. He's a part of Focus and other clubs. He was wearing a shirt wjth the verss genesis 42:9. He said he went to a conference and that wad the main paszage. He's African American and was very enthusiastic. Deacon shared the three offices of Christ. I told him that later if he was interested in evangelizing on campus, we can be a resource for him. I asked if he had friends he wanted to share the gospel with but he said they don't come on Saturday. Similar to BSM, Focus also does campus outreach.
There weren't that many people, so i prayed to God to bring us people. The first person we met didn't want to do the survey, so my partner gave him the evangelist material. The next person was walking by, so we walked up to him. His shirt said I have decided. She asked him if he knew Jesus. He said yes. When he filled out the survey he circle Christ but also hero and other things. When She asked him if she can share the gospel, he said he had to leave for work. The next person just did the survey and left. The next people we went up to did the survey. One of them was more interested than the other. They both did the acceptance prayer. Do them, it was so shocking. They look to be at my age, and everything seemed knew to them. I learned to ask if they can do the survey instead of asking if they have five minutes.
My partner pretty much shared everything. First half of the hour, no one, rejections. The last two girls I think comes from the Catholic background. They both said still searching. They casually accepted Christ.
I went to arts & theater building. First person I met, his parents are Catholic, but he went to church only handful times in his life. I shared the gospel. We didn't get to do the acceptance prayer, but he asked to take a picture of the message. The second person I met was a girl whose parent is Christian and the other is Buddhist. She grew up confused. I asked her if anyone has asked you to accept Christ, she said yes but she never accepted. I asked her if she wanted to do now, and she said yes. I'd like to follow up with her.
